I was with a group of 5 friends who had a reservation for brunch before a NJ Symphony concert at The State Theater on Sunday, June 4th. The appetizers were delicious and beautifully plated; however, the remainder of the meal was a disaster. The main course took so long to be served that we were worried we would not have enough time to walk to the theater. We finally pressed our server to find out why our food was tsking so long to be served. The restaurant was almost empty by then. When the food was served all 5 meals were dry and overcooked. Our server was not helpful and unresponsive other than stating even bad reviews were helpful for improvement. All of us were very disappointed and surprised considering many positive reviews.

They advertised a particular year of a wine I wanted to buy, but came back with a bottle that was two years younger. I asked if they could make an adjustment and they said no. I bought the wine anyway because I know how good it is, it I would have expected that a place like The Frog and the Peach would have made an adjustment somewhere. Even a free dessert, but no. Very disappointing and I’m not happy with their customer service. Our waiter was terrific.

We had the tasting menu and it was great. The strawberry dessert was fantastic. The monkfish, aracini, and octopus were some highlights. They also have a great cocktail and mock tail menu but they are known for their wine list.

Our evening started out great because we got a parking space on the street!!!! We had a table in the garden room and so enjoyed the open air on this lovely evening. The rolls and the butter are worthy of a mention. We started with oysters and a special tomato salad with buratta and sautéed mushrooms. The garlic purée just made it all sing!! We both chose a special of swordfish, which was pan seared and served on an asparagus purée with arugula and tomatoes. Absolutely the best we have ever had.

We don’t go to The Frog and the Peach too often but it has become our go to place to celebrate our son’s birthday. The cocktails are inventive and delicious. There is no skimping on alcohol and the pour is generous. The food has always been absolutely amazing. We’ve never had a dish that we didn’t like. Sometimes a dish is amazing like the cheese gnocchi we had as an appetizer. The Frog and the Peach is moderately expensive but not outrageously priced for the quality and quantity of the food. I highly recommend this long standing New Brunswick institution.

My friend and I eat lunch once a month and have never had a problem. This time I ordered the fish and it was extremely dry. Most restaurants would take the price off. No so at your establishment. I did not eat the fish. The tomato salad was great. John got the scallops and he loved them. Just my fish was poor. Your desserts are always good. You are pricy but until now good. Not worth the price is that they pay service was excellent. Food was good portions very small. All à la cart was there for my sons graduation dinner definitely think it was overpriced for the portions that you received.

Always solid! Good food with a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Service was not quite as good as we have experienced in the past, but overall, still very good. Food was delicious. The Cacio Pepe was amazing. Try the numerous appetizers. Nice job by the chef and the kitchen. Drinks were also very solid.

Everything about our experience was fantastic. The attentive, friendly and professional staff, the menu selections (we are vegetarians and the menu had substantial options for us), and the wine. The food was outstanding, with unique ingredients and flavors. The chef even greeted us afterwards, and that was great!

The wait staff in the garden room might have provided worst service I seriously can remember. From not clearing items to barely asking if we would like more water/bread or drinks. I spent over $300 for my wife and I. It was also my first time dining here. I was so looking forward to it. I drove 45 minutes to experience your restaurant. Sadly I most likely will not make the trip again.

Our service was super attentive and friendly. Food was great. atmosphere was charming. When booking with open table I was asked if there was a special event and it was my husband's birthday so it was very nice touch that they brought out a dessert with happy birthday written in chocolate icing on the edge of the plate. I had not mentioned it at the restaurant that is was his bday.
