Nestled on the banks of the majestic Assiniboine River at the western edge of Winnipeg’s city limits, our beautifully restored country estate re-opened in August 2006 as the premier dining and banquet facility in Manitoba.     Great food. Two other diners 30 feet away wouldn't stop talking, but other than that. My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience. The inside was quite nice, but the exterior could use a fresh coat of paint.

    We enjoyed the experience. Service was the very best! Server was friendly, experienced and enjoyed his job. The story of The Gates would be an interesting read including the horses and herb gardens. Perhaps in could be a part of the menu information.

    Service was excellent, but the place needs a renovation. The butter for the bread tasted off and neither of us felt well once we got home.

    My meal was tasty but only luke warm when it arrived. My friend was not happy with the quality of his New York strip loin. It was not tender and was not tasty. Despite having a reservation, we were put in a very dark room. after asking for a change, we were told the sun room was full. We were given in a spot in the dining room and were the only group in the room.

    Haven’t been since Nov 2019 & it was lovely! This time the price doesn’t show in the food. Food was cold, selection was poor, kids running around. Not sure we’ll be back 🙃

    Server did not explain buffet or to order item ie eggs benedict. Cheese board was sad, poor selection/presentation. Salad bar was boring, could have offered fresh avocado. Servers kept taking away plates/cutlery but did not offer fresh cutlery. Once bill paid, we were ignored however still would have liked water.

    We had a wonderful time here! I left a note for them in advance, told them it’s a birthday event and we have some requirements. They did a fantastic job and prepared everything we need! Foods are great. Steve served our table, he’s patient, friendly and professional. Definitely will go back, recommend this restaurant to everyone.

    This was our first time back to the Sunday brunch buffet since they stopped serving it because of covid. I was so excited to be back and it didn’t disappoint! Service was impeccable, they ensure our drinks were always filled, the staff at the stations were engaged, friendly and helpful. The fools was delicious! We even spent some time speaking with the manager, who was friendly and engaged with his customers!
