Luvvv going to GM. Just would have liked to have the option to sit outside in the deck after the wind died down the night we were there. On a beautiful summer day or night you could ask your guests if they want to move outside if the weather changes during the course of their meal. Blankets and/or heat could be offered.

Always a good place to relax and enjoy good food and drinks. The set menu is not extensive (it fits on one page) but there are always a number of specials in the form of small plates as well as entrees. The staff is always attentive and we’ve never had anything less than a great meal. The one thing they stand out for is the bread pudding for dessert, a hold over from the previous restaurant, Jack’s Grill. You can’t go wrong here.

Every time we walk over to The Glass Monkey, It gets better and better each time. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by the most friendly staff that makes you feel at home to the waiters/waitresses that have an amazing knowledge of what pairings would be best for each meal as well as daily specials that let you know there is some serious cooking going on in the kitchen. The wine and beer selection is spectacular as well as the rotating taps that feature some of the best local brews that one must sample. One of Edmonton's true gems.

We ordered a couple simple applies. Obviously requires no prep so that came out in a few minutes. However, our meals came out nearly immediately afterward! We barely had time to have one bite of appy. In addition this leads to the perception that the mains are not "fresh." This left us feeling rushed. We weren't disappointed in the mains at all, but at least 5-10 minutes in between is appropriate.

Wonderful outdoor patio. Completely secluded, with colorful hanging baskets and a beautiful large tree with fairy lights. Perfect place to enjoy a nice summer evening in Edmonton! The food and wine options are great. Go for snacks, small plates or full entrees. Something for everyone. Fun, casual, yet inventive. If you're looking to get out of the upscale chain restaurant (e.g., Earl's, Moxie's) rut, this is the place to go.

We went here for Father's day, we had lived in the area for a long time but hadn't had a chance to try it yet. I made a reservation for 8 and we had 2 young children with us. The staff was very accommodating and our table was large and not at all crowded. While there isn't a children's menu they have lots of things that do appeal to kids (mac and cheese, Hawaiian pizza, poutine). The bottled beer selection is huge but can be pricey depending what you order. We ordered 3 small plates to share, the flank steak, the Argentinian shrimp (special on the fathers day menu) and the chicken yakitori. The food was fast and cooked perfectly my only complaint was the size of the portions for the price (3 or 4 tiny thin pieces of flank steak and a basket of bread, 4 shrimp and 2 pieces of chicken thigh all between 5-16 dollars each)- although the server let me know as soon as I ordered it how much it came with and was willing to make modifications such as put the aioli on the side for us. For our mains we tried the mac and cheese, the Hawaiian pizza, the butter chicken, the chili, the poutine, the fish (salmon with Thai curry) and the handmade pappardelle. The portions were large and everything was delicious and cooked perfectly but the butter chicken was definitely the star of the night and the dish I would come back for. We didn't order dessert as we had cake waiting at home for us but the server brought the kids a small piece of cake each to go for fathers day anyway which was very nice. The service was outstanding and I would definitely recommend stopping here if you haven't tried it.

We were celebrating a birthday. The waitress acknowledged that right away.
We had a shared dinner. Arancini was a special appt & very good. Then meatballs & roasted broccoli . After that we shared a plate of butter chicken with rice & naan bread, with the green beans. All was delicious!
The birthday girl got a shareable piece of cake, which was a nice end to our meal!

Ordered the burger with mushrooms. Server ask how I wanted it cooked which was a nice option. I followed up with the jacks grill bread pudding. My wife had the pork with the lemon pudding. Both meals were quite good. The server was very attentive.

This is a very pleasant place for a casual meal. We particularly enjoyed the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. The house red wine went well with the steak. And the bread pudding is one of our perennial favorites. There is a bit of a sports bar atmosphere at one end of the room, but it wasn't too noisy.

Once again, The Glass Monkey has proved to be just the right place for a special meal. We had both a toddler and child with us, and both found food on the menu that suited them, and kept them busy eating. The service was wonderful, both friendly and attentive. The food is always good, and we have to try hard to try new items, because we all have our favourites. There is no doubt that we'll be back!

Very attentive service. Hailey knew her wine list and made a good recommendation for a Malbec.

The mushroom thin crust pizza was outstanding, along with very respectable chicken wings. The roasted beet salad is a “must order.”

Didn't know about 1/2 price wine on Monday but it was a great surprise when I saw the
-$19 on the bill.

Though we did not eat on the patio, it seemed to be very popular.

A great meal and wonderful attentive service without being obtrusive in a place we generally enjoy. However, on this occasion, an otherwise excellent evening was offset by an extremely loud table group adjoining that seemed to have no consideration for the fact other diners might like to be able to speak to one another without shouting. Its unfortunate the staff didn't show some initiative by suggesting the other group tone it down.

Tasty food but very small menu. The waiter service was great but one of the owners tried to give us a bar table instead of the outdoor table I reserved. There are more interesting choices in the are for the same cost/benefit.

Disappointing food in a noisy neighbourhood strip mall. The server was difficult to understand his English was so poor. Everything from cocktails through salad, main and dessert were pedestrian. If this is supposed to be home cooking, it needs to be way more flavourful. Wouldn’t recommend and nothing close to Jack’s Grill caliber of dining.

Recently was at the restaurant for a friends get-together. Asked for a reservation with 15 minutes flexibility as we weren't sure on arrival time and restaurant had table ready and held for us when we arrived. Considering arrived just before 9 pm it was very crowded and a bit noisy for conversation but the food and service was very good. Would recommend.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. It was a packed house so everything was a little crowded and noisy. Unfortunately, not so good for the conversation for a table of 7. But I do think that your restaurant has good value but for quiet conversation , perhaps we will have to pick a weeknight instead of a weekend.

Cheese platter was extremely good value, lots of cheese and with an excellent chutney. Main meals were very good. We didn’t see too much of our server, she seemed to have a very large section of big tables, and one table seemed to take a lot of her attention. We will be back though, as the food was very good
