   Fantastic evening, our server Chris and Michael (sommelier) did a great job providing us with food description and wine suggestions that paired perfectly with the tomahawk steak. Will be back definitely.

   Maddie was our server for the evening and we were greeted warmly by her, she expertly discussed the menu with us as well as the by the glass wine list. She was particularly busy that evening and should probably have had another member of staff to support her in order to give all the diners in her section the level of attention that an establishment like that requires. That said, we were very happy with the service we received. A comment not mentioned on the night but discussed afterwards was that the jumbo shrimp cocktail sauce was quite sharp and unbalanced when eaten with the shrimp itself. The bison carpaccio was outstanding. On a side note- the steak knives need sharpening! Being used on slates all the time has dulled them down.

   I’m disappointed with the food and the service. It doesn’t deserve such good rating. The food quality is inconsistent, I have perfectly cooked scallops then undercooked unseasoned salmon, over seasoned steak. Maybe this place is understaffed? We spend more time waiting for someone to take our order/ bring us drinks/ bring us checks then actually eating. Our food is barely touched but no one bothered to ask how’s the food. I don’t know if this is the standard service here at Fairmont? Or we just simply treated differently because we are the only Asian in the restaurant. I left my honest comment on the check with 20% tip, I did my best to be polite and respectful, hope the restaurant will make some improvements on the service.

   Haven’t been for a couple of years and was reminded that the service can be terrible. Waited 35 minutes for first drinks to arrive. After starters finished, the manager came to apologize for the wait time on our main course and said it would be right out. Took another 30 minutes. I think we were at 1 hour 45 minutes when mains arrived. Prices have gone up a lot. I’m not comply about price as it’s the same everywhere but the service has been like this several times. It’s clearly an ongoing problem with the restaurant. Won’t be going back.

    Adam, the waiter, is the best of the best! We always come back to the Fairmont restaurant to see him because my grand daughter loves his magic tricks at the end of the meal! He is fantastic! Fantastic!

    Absolutely loved this place! Our waiter Ben was a doll. Food was delicious. Ambience very classy. Our favorite place in Whistler so far. Congratulations to the restaurant manager for doing such a great job!

    The food was as expected but they were short staffed. Despite the valiant efforts of our waiter who worked nonstop, it took 1 hour for the first course to arrive and another hour for the majn course. The situation was made worse by managers who pretended to walk through checking but they walked past over 10 times without ever asking about how the meal was going. I guess they knew the answer already as others were grumbling too! We won’t be going back; there is too much excellent competition in the village.

    Best dinner this season! Delicious food and an exceptional professional waiter who had worked at the hotel for 11 years. Amazing gluten free options also with almost every item on the menu able to be tailored to be gluten free on request. Highly recommended. Beautiful ambience.

    We had a family dinner booked at the restaurant- a very rare occasion these days and the staff could not have been more attentive, engaging, informative and generally great company. From start to finish we were treated incredibly well by everyone but a special mention must go to Ben and Adam who were simply excellent - thank you. We had a wonderful time.

    Dined here while staying at the Fairmont over Christmas break and had a wonderful experience. Food, wine and service were all excellent. Our server, Adam, was great and very knowledgeable about the area’s specialties.

    The food was not consistent…some very good and some bad. The octopus was tough and the Ceasar salad was bland, but the trout special was very good. Nice ambiance

    We enjoyed our evening, the food, the ambience, and the service. But we wish the person seating us didn't feel it necessary to quiz us about the "nice things" we might have done during the day. Please just do your job; don't try to make friends with us. Also, the server needs to be judicious about what she/he tells us about the menu. A detailed description of a dish we know we are not going to choose is a waste of time.

    Our dinner at The Grill Room was by far the best dining experience my husband and I have ever had. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and the night couldn’t have been more perfect. The ambiance was stunning and the quality of the food and service was like none other. Our server Paul shared his culinary passion and knowledge to the finest detail. Selections for cocktails, wine pairings, food recommendations and not to mention catering to my dietary needs (gluten and dairy free) were impeccable. From the gin tomato soup prepared at the table, the incredible seafood dishes, surf and turf, succulent desserts and let’s not forget the BEST margaritas we have ever had, finished off with some magic for entertainment. The entire evening we were made to feel like royalty creating a lasting impression that we will never forget!!

    Always extraordinary. Service, food, dining room. My daughter who is now in college says that this is her favorite and has been since she was five years old. The gin tomato soup flambé was not only spectacular to watch, but it was spectacular to consume. The steaks always are a treat, but I must say that my ribeye did have a bit too much fat and gristle this time.

    Service started out good, but got progressively worse as the night wore on. Very slow to refresh drinks, remove plates etc. Food was mediocre (at best). My fish was luke warm. So disappointing. Did not send it back as didn’t want to delay the meal. Very disappointing for a high end establishment.

    Absolutely first class dining experience! Adam our server was terrific and made our dinner that much more enjoyable from start to finish - with a surprise dessert for my birthday. Food was fantastic -my husband had the ribeye and I had the 6 oz. Filet. Both perfectly done. Side dishes were really generous shareable portions. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!!

    Excellent experience and dinner. We booked the grill room on a Saturday of a long weekend but the atmosphere was still intimate and quiet. The food was excellent as expected but the staff really made our experience above and beyond. Can’t say enough good things about them. Thank you for a lovely evening

    We enjoyed two dinners and six breakfasts at the Grill. The breakfast selections and overall quality were very good. We especially enjoyed our dinners. We received outstanding service from all wait persons. We would like to acknowledge one waiter especially; his name is Adam.
