   Recently dined here on relatively busy Saturday night with a table of four celebrating a birthday. I had flowers delivered the day of and the restaurant was accommodating when I called to ask that they place them at our table. We checked in and were sat within 5 minutes of our reservation as they got our table ready in a comfortable section of the restaurant. The décor is mid-century rustic and has a warm feel to it that is easy on the senses. Our server, Tiana, was hands-down the best restaurant server we have had in Columbus since the pandemic. Her wonderful demeanor was refreshing, guided us through the menu at every course, shared some personal favorites and always asked about food preferences or dietary restrictions. Tiana helped us navigate some changes on our orders from what was on the menu and the kitchen got everything right. The pork blade dish was perfectly executed, the two fish dishes (Sea Bass and Halibut) came out with a crisp outer and silky soft interior that showed good preparation. Nothing arrived cold or lukewarm and the plates left the table bare. We were super grateful to a kitchen team willing to bend the menu rules to fit and they deserve high praise for this. Tiana also hit a home run with the desert recommendations so needless to say we left glad to have chosen The Guild House for this dinner celebration. Their staff (and management) deserves high praise.

   The fish (salmon and halibut) was old, smelly and dry. The dishes all tasted the same—apparently the chef thinks drenching something in vinegar Is seasoning. The mushrooms were giant slabs of very tough mushroom stems — literally impossible to chew. The vegetables and salads were all drenched in vinegar. My mouth is still numb from the sea of vinegar. The only thing good was the bartender—she was fantastic and never stopped working. Overpriced too — tiny dry smelly fish portions were $40 each. All sides extra. We will never go back there. Sign us, Burned (by vinegar)

   The Guild House is conveniently located right downtown Columbus. The food, service and ambiance were all excellent. The restaurant is airy, lovely decorated and the tables are a good private distance apart. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was exceptional. We came for breakfast and had the truffled eggs and eggs Benedict. They were both exceptional. We will definitely be coming back but this time we will try dinner. I highly recommend.

   Came in for a anniversary dinner at 5:30 and had the best experience! It was pretty much empty when we arrived(pretty understandable For a Monday) and we got a table by the windows in the front. We got the rolls and wagyu beef as apps. Both were amazing, we were quite literally drooling over them. The restaurant picked up quite a bit after that as we ate dinner but never got too loud. We got the scallops and the gnocchi! Also both amazing. I work in food service and I was pleasantly impressed with the beautiful plate ups. I didn’t want to touch anything! Server was so kind and sweet. Overall a very good experience!! 10/10 would recommend.

   Came to downtown fir one of the best ranked breakfast offerings per Google search. Located downtown the first challenge was parking. Once inside though, the facility us stringing and Jody staff was very friendly. Once seated two of the four of us ordered coffee, it was shy of being hot. Once breakfast was ordered, we found it necessary to prompt for coffee to be refilled, and it was necessary to ask fir the carafe to be replaced as the coffee as now only luke-warm. I ordered the truffle eggs with a side of sourdough toast, it was toasted as I prefer, crunchy but it wasn’t the least bit hot. The egg dish was extraordinarily good combo of ingredients, if only it was hot. I think the chef needs to jump on servers to jump on dishes once out. Others at the table had similar frustration, but the taste would have us return. As yo the server, she was lively as a person, great personality, probably typically a dinner server would be my guess.

    The best Salmon I have ever had. Beet salad was good and I love the bourbon drink. Our server was awesome. We'll be back for our anniversary, maybe sooner if we get the chance.

    This is the 2nd time that I have been to this restaurant - once for dinner, once for brunch. Both times I was impressed by the beauty of the space, but unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. I had the lobster and eggs for brunch recently, and it was tasteless as was the food in my first visit. Not a good value for this reason. I was a bit embarrassed as I brought an out of town foodie friend who’s food was also much less sophisticated than the description on the menu. Walk in and see the space or have a drink at the bar - forget the food.

    We love the Guild house so much. We drive up from Cincinnati just to go for many occasions and bring friends to try and sure to fall in love with it as well. Everyone is always so nice, so very nice!! The food, wine and cocktails are incredible.

    I’ve been there twice now and have been impressed both times. This time I took out of town guests and two toddlers and the staff were knowledgeable, generous and accommodating. I will definitely go back.

    Amazing service! Classy establishment. We celebrated our anniversary at The Guild House. It has a special place in our hearts since I proposed to my wife here. They are wonderful and helped us celebrate in style!

    The food and service were wonderful. Only minor comment was it was a cold day and the outer door was left open, so every time the inner one opened there was a bad draft. As has been my experience with all C.M. restaurants, an excellent overall experience-I’ll be back!

    Our entire experience was wonderful! The food was beyond what we expected. The portion sizes were perfect and allowed us to have 2 apps, dinner, 2 a la carte sides and desert without being overstuffed. The current drink special was amazing as well. We definitely will return the next time we're in town.

    This is our 2nd visit. We loved the 1st time so much we brought our boys for their birthday while they were on school break. Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service was as outstanding as our 1st experience. The food was good, but not great, and the service was definitely not as good. The hostess was excellent. She even asked about the birthdays, but the waitress never even mentioned it so we didn't either. The waitress brought our check so quickly and didn't say no rush, so it was definitely a signal it was time to leave. We won't return.

    OUTSTANDING!!!! One of the best dinners I’ve had in a while. The sweet potato rolls were out of this world and the sea bass was amazing!!!! The inside was beautiful and service was top notch! Wish they had this place in Florida!

    Living in Dayton, we make a special effort to get over to The Guild House as often as possible. It's one of our absolute favorites. Everything from the bar and drinks to the overall atmosphere, service, and food are second to none. This trip we had a party of six and celebrated two birthdays at once. As always, Laurie, the GM, took extra special care of us and went overboard, helping to make our special night incredible. I just can't say enough good things about her, the entire staff, and the restaurant itself. We're a huge fan of all the Cameron Mitchell restaurants and frequent The Ocean Club, The Pearl, and Hudson 29 as well. However, as I said, The Guild House tops the list for us and can't wait to visit again soon. --Jim

    Great first experience at the Guild House. Went for anniversary and had a great time loved the atmosphere. It is on the pricier end but that’s too he expected. Only small issue I had was the cheese platter kind of lacked compared to their other dishes. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts, salmon and halibut. Overall great experience and totally plan to go back at some point.

    Best happy hour in town! Half off drinks and starters. Great deal! Service was awesome thanks to Travis. His food recommendations were spot on and each recommendation was delightful. We started with brussel sprouts and beet salad! Soooo good! Then on to entrees suggested by Travis, the Filet (add 2 scallops) and Sea Bass were melt in your mouth delectable! And then my husband had dessert! The chocolate cherry sundae! OMG, it looked amazing I was told it was extremely tasty! Go, eat, enjoy!!!

    We got a babysitter for our date night out. Unfortunately, we had to wait 45 min for our reservation, which made me feel like we were wasting time from our night. Our reservation was at 7:45 and we waited until 8:30. The staff and waitress were nice. We were getting free drinks and appetizers for our wait. Then, we both found plastic in our potatoes. We ended up getting the meals for free. But overall, this first-time experience is not something I would want to duplicate or recommend.
