I had a lamb dish that said it would be hot so, I told the waitress to have it made half as hot....well, it came out on fire! I asked for tiziki sauce to cool it off to the tune of $5 but it was still too hot.

Maybe its the first Open Table suggestion that i findmyself in a wrong place, the service was real bad i mentioned my reservation they told me that the restaurant was full and i need to get on the line then after waiting they gave us a table and 5 minutes after ask us to move, the waiter was very rude and put pressure to order the food, the quality of the food and the presentation of the plate was REALLY bad, so we paid and leave

We had an amazing experience at this place. We went to celebrate the Birthday of my sister and they acknowledged the occasion at the time we arrived but after that there was no mention of it. The food was good. They didn’t have all the beers in menu.

We had a wonderful experience at the indian garden. Our servers Ansha and Rila were both attentive and give great advice on the menu. The food was spectacular and is very authentic and amazingly tasty. The chefs obviously use top quality ingredients. The service and overall ambiance was excellent. Highly recommend The Indian Garden

They took a good 1 hour and 45 minutes to bring our food. Today is Christmas and they were overwhelmed. It was our first time there so we went out with mixed feelings. The food was delicious.

We think Indian Garden is the best Indian food in Chicago. A favorite of ours. We try something new every time we visit, and have never been disappointed. Situated on the second floor, the restaurant is charming.

We were there on Thanksgiving day and had an enjoyable meal. We are vegan and we’re expecting to order off the menu, but the holiday lunch buffet was the only option. While the choices for plant-based eating were limited, we liked what we had and were grateful for the attentive staff. We will go back another time to order off the full menu.

Most of the food was authentic and very good, although we were surprised that the rice served with curry was akin to Uncle Ben's - nothing like the true basmati Indian rice we've enjoyed in so many other authentic Indian restaurants. That was disappointing.

If it wasn't for their mediocre service, this restaurant would be a 10/10. The food is amazing. The decor is elegant. But when we walked in, we were standing behind a long line of Door Dash/Uber Eats drivers for about 10 minutes. There was no one there to welcome us. We finally found the manager and he sat us at our table. We knew we were in for a long wait when someone at the table next to us said "hope you're not starving". LOL. About 15 minutes later we got our first visit from a waitress. We ordered everything at once. The food took a while, but it was worth the wait. Savory and intricate. Don't book if you're in a hurry.

Nice ambiance but the food was very bland. Our vegetable dish looked like it came from a bag of frozen vegetables commonly found at the grocery story.

Restaurant looks great, food was good. But Hours of operation and Actual hours need to be corrected. Opened at 11am; we booked lunch at 11:15am (could have booked at 10:45am via Opentable, which is a problem). Got there early at 11, but doors were closed and a group was calling to hear that they don't open until 11:30 and left. Our small party had loose plans so we could wait, but had I not stopped a worker as he was entering to ask about reservations, we would have walked away too, very disappointed. Restaurant needs to update their hours of operation on Google and these apps...
