   We went with 5 kids and 2 adults and were pleasantly surprised with the value of the kids' menu and the whole experience. Our server was amazing and we would definitely go back.

   We went to the keg for my boyfriends birthday and it was great! Bryce was our server and he was very attentive. Excellent service. Got a free billy meiners pie for his bday ! Would def go back for my birthday!

    We have loved The Keg in the past. Although we've never been to this location, we found the food not consistent with the quality that we had previously received. Unfortunately, the vegetables were cold and my husband's peppercorn steak was extremely tough with a thick band of fat through the centre of the cut. The negroni and mai tai we had were good, however, and I loved that my mai tai was hand blended. It is a disappointment to spend a premium on food in a restaurant to get a subpar product.

    Our server was amazing! I forget her name, but she was so on the ball. We were all a little scrambly after travelling the day before, and our server made us feel at home back in Canada. Great stuff, wish I could remember her name! Dark hair pulled back, wearing a black mask. We were seated in the round booth right near the entrance. If someone at The Keg can send her our thanks for a job well done. My little blond surfer haired boy really liked her as well!

    Clayton (sorry I think that is what it) was fantastic! Best waiter I’ve had at the Keg. I didn’t complain because I brought an out of town guest and didn’t want to cause a fuss BUT my 6pm sirloin was VERY TOUGH and Al ost grisely. I had never had a bad steak at the keg but now I have. I may call tomorrow to jet them know. Sooooooo disappointed but our waiter made up for it. I did not complain to him. You need a bit of quality control. My friend said her steak was great! 😭

    Server Andrew was awesome, food portions and taste was very good, definitelly visit again. The only thing i disliked was lack of light , couldnt see my food its hard to cut steak in these lighting conditions (atleast the back part we was seated in, for couples }

    Had the 10 ounce med rare prime rib with the garlic mash. Absolutely delicious. I would prefer the 14 ounce but I’m old and won’t be able to finish it . Had the crème brûlée for dessert. Great size portion. And the reasonable price Jackson Triggs is a nice touch . Cameron was very funny and attentive .

    Always a great time celebrating at the Keg. We had a nice round booth/table that was tucked away. Lovely time had by all. Our server was also great!

    Great! Amazing food as always. Beautiful space. Prime rib sliders were crazy good, best ever. We found the music strangely loud and it didn't fit the environment....but they were happy to turn it down a bit.

    Everything was great, however my steak (Sirloin Oscar, ordered rare) was extremely rubbery and chewy. Not tender at all. We ended up in a rush and without time to complain for a replacement.

    It was first time dining at KEG. The server who took care of our table was very nice and address the problem promptly due to extremely overcooked inside of beef. Also tuna tartare was very delicious so much I ordered another one to take home. I will definitely visit again and recommend my friends.

    Stunning entrance through bamboo garden up the stairs. We booked a table here for belayted Valentine’s dinner and we haven’t regret it. Service was very polite, and friendly. Meals were delicious. The only minus was a bit higher price than standard and sitting behind a table with bar stools. Overall, nice place to eat with a great choice of steaks. Would definitely recomemend it to friends &. family.

    This was my first visit ever to this location and when we arrived I asked if we were on the correct side. The hostess said that we were(I had booked the dining room but we ended up seated in the lounge), and seated us at a small high top table in a corner by the bathrooms. After ordering, the pace with which our food arrived at the table was fast- much too fast. When we had our salads and the appetizer came I commented to our server that they needs to slow down the pace significantly. Even with this said, our entrees arrived before we were even a third through the appetizer. As she cleared our dinner plates she asked us if we wanted dessert right away but I told her that we would wait a while. Eventually I asked her for dessert and it came immediately but afterwards we had to wait a long time for our bill. Overall I felt very rushed and would not have stayed in the lounge had I known any better. It seemed as though they just wanted our table in and out as quickly as possible.

    Wow! This Keg is a showstopper! From the bamboo forested staircase to the sculptures in the restaurant, this is the nicest Keg I’ve ever frequented. The server, Carol, was delightful; sweet, informative and efficient. My meal, pistachio encrusted salmon was nicely presented and cooked to perfection. Delicious! This was our first meal here but it won’t be our last. Thank you!

    50th birthday celebration and we were given a “first day” waitress. It was embarrassing. I was expecting a special evening with my family member but in the end I was very disappointed. When scheduling I communicated the 50th birthday celebration. The manager completely failed to provide a good service member given my request

    First of all you can never go wrong with a Keg steak. Quality of beef and the way it is cooked is so consistent. They also have tons of options for those who have dietary restrictions. Our server was friendly and professional. The obeisance is classy and welcoming. Just can’t go wrong

    The main restaurant is closed, something that should have been mentioned on the website when we made the reservation. We were relegated to a somewhat noisy bar with a huge, cold draft every time the entrance door was opened. Certainly no dining ambience to speak of! The food met the expectations as usual at the Kegs, although the three-cheese butter did not complement the bread as much as the ordinary butter (which we promptly were served as soon as we asked for it). Sorry, but at this time under the present circumstances, we can not recommend The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Alberni to a friend.
