Our server Austin was wonderful. He is friendly and prompt. He anticipated our needs and was very polite. He smiles always and asks many times how each item is.
He’s the best waiter. This is the third time he has waited on me and I couldn’t be happier. I’d like to request him every time I come for dinner at The Keg. !!!
I love the food and place, rib steak and chicken are awesome cooked! is really good place to eat with you partner.
It was just OFF. My dinner salad was served before we got our drinks or the appetizer we ordered…….just to give you an idea of the bad timing here. After a long wait, we FINALLY received the mussel appetizer and, well, it was not worth the wait. Have to admit, I was expecting more…. but hey, this is a steakhouse after all, so to be expected.
Before we had time to finish the appetizer, my salad AND our main dishes arrived - all at once! We struggled to make room for all the various plates etc. I decided it’d be best to package some food away so that we had space on our dining table.
Our food was as expected but I was very disappointed in both the timing as well as the professionalism of the staff. I simply expected more from the Keg.
Sorry to say, but it may be a while before I come back for a visit.
Food was up to Keg standard. Staff very helpful in accommodating our large party.
Prices getting too high. Top sirloin I had wasn’t very tender. Bully Miner pie always a hit!
Asked for a rare prime rib. Both prime rib and twice baked potato were overcooked.
Our server was top notch
The birthday cake was delicious and huge
Both our steaks were a little over done.
There was a busboy with BO
Wide open upstairs room with no need for plexiglass! Has a 60s Palm Springs vibe and I forgot about covid. Steak was perfect. A few minor things with dinner, but too picky to mention. Had a good time and it’s my fav Keg cause it feels like a secret.
Great service and food!
We had a fabulous time last night at the keg. Our server was fantastic and we couldn't have enjoyed a lovelier meal. I really appreciated that they were able to split a meal for my mother and I, and they were also so kind to spoil us with free dessert. Everything was delicious! We all left feeling stuffed and very grateful.
A nice enough birthday dinner with my partner. The server was a little green, a bit obsequious, but a nice enough lad. It’s The Keg, so it’s a bit overpriced for the stingy amount of sides that come with your $45 steak (an ungenerous spoon of veggies and mashed potatoes), but the taste and quality were there.
Another great meal at The Keg on Granville Island…food was great, hostess was great, our server “Bill” was outstanding
Staff were all excellent. Friendly, prompt, courteous. Food was good, though it would be nice for a broader choice menu. Lack of menu variation limit wishes to come more regularly. Dinner for 2 with a very nice bottle of wine with tip $325. Fair but not "wowed" by lack of ingenuity with menu choices. Steak was cooked perfectly....but would be nice to go to the Keg and see something new and exciting to try one day.
It was great to be back at the Keg with full capacity. A true Keg experience. Omar our server was awesome. A real asset to the Keg. Thank you.
Too noisy with boom boom base thumping! N
From the host to management and our server Michael, my guest and I had the most wonderful experience! We will visit again!
Our server always gets the food right or ensures it’s corrected. We love Granville island Keg and it’s proximity to our home. Thanks.
Normally the steaks there are excellent, this time mine was grisely. I know if I sent it back they would have made it right, but we were on a time crunch so I just ate it. Always wonderful service.
Rib steak was great, service wasn't so good but food made up for it.
Food was fresh. Got the ribs which were pretty good. Our waiter I believe his name was Oliver was excellent. Very attentive, pleasant, professional. I have a 18% tip. I wish I did more.
The Keg delivers the complete package - engaging wait staff, delicious food and cozy surroundings. I leave feeling that I've received value for money and enjoyed my evening out. Kudos to the Keg!
The mussels were frozen and very rubbery texture the steak was over salted and not very hot
The keg at Granville island was spectacular. The service was amazing and friendly. The food was quality and delicious.
Great ambiance, food and service compared to some other locations. Had a great dinner :)
This is the place for birthday cake and steak type food.
Robert was awesome! Food was amazing came out quick! Rarely go to this location but we will be back :)
Food and service is always great. Portions are always big, and the Keg Classics are good deals.
Great night, from service to food. Chris our server is the Best!
Really nice three-course meal at a good price. I had the baked shrimp for starter, it was nice and scrumptious with the cute little loaf they gave it with. My main was a full rack of ribs with fries, it had a nice crisp exterior with the sauce really meshing well. Great flavors all around. I ended the meal with a brownie sundae. This is my favorite ever dessert now. It's so fudgy, and with the ice cream and whipped cream, that is brownie ala mode at its absolute best. Great experience overall, would come back again for sure.
It was a special Birthday celebration & our experience at The Keg on Granville totally lived up to expectations. Lovely, cozy, quiet ambience near the fireplace. The baked Brie appetizer was delicious (liked the warm pesto & pepper jelly accompaniment) and the prime rib was perfectly prepared & served on hot plates (important). Our server Breanna was a treat - friendly, efficient and perfectly delightful. Our only complaint is that we were way too full (the Billy Miner pie didn’t help in this regard) but we know this was our fault. Thank you for a truly memorable evening!
We dine at this location pretty regularly. We know it's usually consistent and we are always happy when we leave.
I cant say the same this time, I made a reservation for 4 ppl stating it was also my husband's birthday. We arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by a young hostess that sat us in the bar area, mind you I'm with a 4 year old and a 80 year old also. She originally sat us at a high table with high chairs. It was like she gave it no thought. We mentioned we wanted to be sat in the dining room. She then said " it was closed." We all looked at eachother and knew that didn't seem right. Thankfully our waiter made it happen and moved us into the dining room. We had a table adjacent to pretty loud/ vocal group. We could barely hear eachother.. nevertheless we appreciated being moved. We enjoyed our dinner but overall I was surprised and underwhelmed at the service .. we hope training gets better front of house as the food is still great.
The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance wonderful. Our server Maryam was fantastic as was the food. It was a great night out celebrating our son’s 15th birthday.
We sat at Table 13 which we loved. Sheltered from the noise.
We had an absolutely WONDERFUL server. He was helpful, attentive and charming.
He's a real asset to the company.
My steak Oscar was amazingly gristly. I did not expect that at the Keg.
The service could be improved by being more professional. Exposed bosom is not particularly attractive in this context and I'll trade it for more attentive service any time.
We had troubles hearing each other over the din of the TV.
We had not been to the Keg in years and with this experience it might well be years till we'll go again.
The dessert was great
Service from Valerie excellent.
Love the staff here, so on top of our needs and any modifications we needed.
Lovely Ambiance and comfortable seating. Food was outstanding as always.
It was pretty noisy but the food and service were great!
Food was good as always although the portions seemed noticeably smaller. Also it was quite chilly in the restaurant…wished they turned up the heat a little bit.
Despite having reservations, we were seated in the bar area with televisions showing hockey. Honestly, If I wanted to watch tv, I'd stay at home. Our table was situated directly across from an exit door and anytime other patrons departed, we were blasted with freezing air. The food was sub-par, not exactly how I remember The Keg as the steakhouse to be. My steak was oversalted, and though rare, quite dry, as was the teeny lobster tail that accompanied it. The potato was overcooked and burnt on the bottom and the escargot was overdone and absolutely swimming in butter and tarragon.
