Amazing meal, only one person in our group didn’t get her steak properly cooked. However the table all received a free desert. Well done Keg staff.
Waitress forgot to order our appetizer and my baseball steak the I ordered med rare came blue. I don't mind blue but it is alittle much when it is a baseball steak.
Good overall experience. Excellent staff. Had an end piece of prime rib...so I've had better but it was still good.
The prime rib was really wonderful as usual. But the service was poor . We go to the Keg for several birthday celebrations per year. Usually the service is fine, but this time the waiter was overly friendly and kept calling us honey, dearie etc. and touching our shoulder. There was a long wait for the bill. In the end we had to leave cash with our party for our share because we had to leave. The bills were wrong when they arrived. It was quite annoying.
Amazing food and nice environment.. the mood and ambiance was perfect for a more romantic date!
Have been at a number of Kegs, Ottawa(2), Toronto (Dixon Rd.) & Kingston. Enjoyed the ambiance, service was excellent but found the noise level too loud, carrying on a conversation was often difficult. Background music is always nice during dinner not sure if there was any due to the noise. Will probably try to go at a different hour, which may reduce the frequency unfortunately. Otherwise a great place to eat. Thank you.
p.s. we were at the Kingston location Sat. Dec.1 @ 7:15pm. and we received exceptional service from our server Laura S. at the bar and waiter Mike.
My server Mike was excellent. He would come update us on the status of our food and drinks, he was quick to take our order before a large party. He came to check on us often. The kitchen manager was going around to ensure guests were satisfied. The building has a lot of character and was nicely decorated for the holidays.
Food was great, service was outstanding. A great choice for our anniversary! We'll be back!
We were at the Keg in Kingston for our Anniversary Sunday November 25th. Our meal was delicious! Our apps were hot and very tasteful. Our steaks were tender and delicious. Our waitress "Carly" was amazing, very prompt with anything we asked for. She was friendly and very professional attending to every detail required. She made us feel very relaxed and special at the same time, bringing us a complimentary desert for our special occasion. We will definitely be a return customer!
Reservations for 8 pm but didn’t get sat until 8:20ish, restaurant was extremely loud, and difficult to have conversations. Also disappointed with the steak....was cooked slightly over (as per usual) and the steak (top sirloin) had a surprising amount of gristle on it. Our server was excellent
I made a reservation for my husband’s 40th birthday dinner , and specifically said so in my reservation, and asked for a nice table. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time and waited at least 20 minutes for our table. Neither the hostess or our waiter knew anything about the birthday celebration, but I still mentioned it. Absolutely no special service, and in fact, we were forgotten about for quite a while. We have visited many steak houses in Canada and the US and the service we received was subpar, given our special occasion. Food was good, but price point is high for what you actually get. We won’t go back since our special occasion was not so special to the Keg staff.
The night was excellent. Except for a table which had a child who was very angry and loud. This thou to me is not fault to The Keg. Best service staff in town.
This keg location is much more unique and fancy and great for any occasion. It makes you feel special and to celebrate for special occasions. The birthday person gets a complimentary dessert which is awesome and all the servers are very welcoming.
We love going to the Keg. We celebrated our daughters birthday again this year at the Keg. We were seated close to a very noisy group and although we have no problem with people having fun, they needed a more private spot to party. The food is delicious and our waitress was lovely. She was so busy with the large group she was just barely managing to keep up with us.
Keep serving great food in a great atmosphere. We wish our reservation for a booth would have been held. The noise might have been better.
We will be back!
The Keg is such a reliable restaurant. It never disappoints. The food is always spectacular and the service second to none.
The was good as always. We both had the Keg Classic Prime Rib. But what made this a GREAT experience was our server, Richard!! Very friendly, personable, knowledgeable. Great service, water always filled, just enough checking in... Would've gladly had him sit with us!
Table we requested was perfect! Dinner, service, great! Thank you!
It's a stellar experience everytime I'm there! The mgmt and staff sre so acommodsting !!
There were 5 for dinner. They had salmon, roast beef and apples. The one steak dinner was not. Veggies were soft and overcooked, the twice baked potatoe too blackened on top and steak was dry. It’s the first time I’ve not been happy with a steak dinner there. Others seemed to enjoy their meals and we were there to celebrate so I didn’t say anything to bring the party down.
So we booked ahead, request a specific table. Let them know my parents were travelling 6 hours & I myself am only home for two weeks from an overseas deployment... Food was great, Nothing above was achieved but I think the best thing was when I asked why it couldn’t be done towards the end of the meal. Server said “Oh man I’m not sure, I mean there’s no special events on today, not like Stars on Ice last week”....
I guess Nov. 11th isn’t a special event for some people.
Food was great. Kitchen Manager was great. Most staff were dumb dumbs.
We had a lovely evening celebrating birthdays with our niece and nephew.
Enjoyed a wonderful date night out with my husband. Excellent server (Richard) who was informative, energetic and enthusiastic with a nice sense of humor!
Amazing experience :) I have never been to The Keg before , our server was absolutely wonderful , very helpful in explaining the menu and choices as it was my first time. The food was incredible ! Teriyaki sirloin cooked to perfection and Asiago rice was so incredible. Husband had Prime rib , cooked to perfection as well. Must try the dessert, Billy miner pie , delicious. Atmosphere was cozy, comfortable , lit perfectly for the setting .. private areas of restaurant makes it nice as well ... separate smaller rooms really added to the cozyness of this restaurant instead of one giant space ... Thanks so much for a great evening !
Two of us visited The Keg prior to a show at The Leons Centre. Reservations are a must on a busy night! The food was delicious, the Prime Rib so tender. The Keg sied drinkks were good too. It was a treat night for us!
To my husband here for his birthday dinner. It was an amazing evening, great food and staff. We will definitely be back!
Salad and dessert were good. We were bombarded with inane small talk on the way to our table. Meal did not arrive as ordered, came back slightly less red but was not hot at all. Even the tea we ordered was not hot, just lukewarm. Also found it to be expensive for what we got. This is the second time we have left disappointed and definitely our last dinner there.
I recently went to the Keg in Kingston for a date night. We had a reservation and was seated fairly quickly after we arrived. The food was not up to the old Keg standards. My girlfriends steak came blue when ordered medium and my prime rib was extremely fatty and almost cool to the touch. I understand that cut tends to be fattier but this was too much.
We are always satisfied when we come for supper. Always delicious and everything is served as ordered. Servers are always polite and top 1.
Meal was awesome. Server Michelle was outstanding!!
It was our anniversary and our first time going to the keg
Our server was amazing
And the food wow so yummy lots of very good dishes to choose from as well as the drink menu. Our server also surprised us with a free ice cream cake after our meal
We will definitely be back
The Keg never disappoints!! Steak is always tender and delicious. Service was excellent.
Everything was excellent but I was freezing and other patrons commented as well. They couldn’t regulate the cold air that was blowing on us.
Overall it was a good experience. I ordered the Arctic char and it was very over cooked. My husband had the filet mignon and it was perfect.
Delicious steak. Attentive, friendly service. Busy, but not overwhelmingly so.
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our best man and bridesmaid @ The Keg in downtown Kingston. The staff from arrival to departure were courteous and provided excellent service. The prime rib and filet mignon were cooked to perfection! Our Caesar salad was still chilled upon serving.
Cole was our server. His table side manner was friendly and he was a competent server. Cole surprised us with a complimentary dessert, candle lit. Thank you once again Cole.
Adam runs a very good business and have supported the Keg since it was established in Kingston. Adam has made the necessary changes to make it one of the best Kegs we have dined at.
Went for a 2 year anniversary
Joel was our waiter he was amazing highly suggest asking for him
My wife and I were celebrating our 45th. Wedding anniversary.
The waitress (Laura) went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable.
We received a complimentary (small) bottle of champagne and dessert with our meal.
The overall dining experience was excellent.
We had a reservation for 6:30 and when entering at 6:27..were told were early as table would only be ready closer to 6:30. Eventhough onky 3 mimutes off we went to the bar to wait..and then half hour later went to check with the hostess and told we were basically forgotten about. With all the great restaurants in Kingstom wouldnt bother with the Keg agaim. Food was good but other than that...mediocre...especially for the high prices.
I made the reservation for 6:45 and we arrived at 6:40. We told that they were getting our table ready which was fine. We were finally taken to our table at 6:50. The section we were in had only one other couple and there were at least 15 tables empty. Our server wss really busy with the other section and finally came to our table and asked for our drink order. We ordered a bottle of wine which took another 10 mins. We could see our server running around with this other section of tables. The food is wonderful! My husband's twice baked potato was at least 3 times baked almost to being burnt. But being a gentleman he is ate it anyway. I do recommend The Keg as their steaks are wonderful.
This is the place in Kingston to enjoy a steak dinner with an incredibly warm atmosphere. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. The food is always incredible and management will always make it right if you're unsatisfied.
