Our favourite special occasion restaurant! I can honestly say, after many visits over the years, we have never had a single complaint about their food or service. My husband and I were at The Keg last evening for our Anniversary. We had a wonderful meal as per usual.

We started with homemade warm bread and herb butter then ordered a delicious Brie with pesto and pepper jelly appetizer, followed by an iceberg wedge salad and a Caesar salad, our mains were the teriyaki sirloin steak and the prime rib with double baked potato and mushrooms red peppers and zucchini. To end our feast we split the Billy Miner ice cream pie with mocha ice cream and chocolate crumb crust. Each part of our meal was delicious and the service was excellent. Our waiter Harry was efficient, well informed and very personable. We enjoyed our evening!

Portions have shrunk. Lighting has not been improved. No lights working above our table. Packed in too many tables in dining area. Difficulty for servers to bring orders and patrons to be seated comfortably …without touching other chairs and people. This has been brought to their attention before but never addressed.

We had a “discussion” about our seating after requesting a certain type table. I can understand but his manner was very pushy and condescending. He spoke “at “us and was mysogenistic, talking over us and getting louder. We did ask him to leave our table.. We did opt to stay. Our server however, was the most wonderful and cheery, helpful server we could have asked for. She saved our night out and indeed, she!!! made a difference in our experience. Gill was the best!

Friendly and attentive staff made us feel so welcomed. Food was so good. Food choice recommended by server was excellent! Best steak I’ve EVER had. Complimentary dessert for our wedding anniversary was the perfect touch and so delicious. Out first time there recommended by family members. Definitely worth the trip. -Food was very good but the "au jus" did not taste from scratch - the saltiness made it taste like it was from a jar/bottle -Gin Basil Lemonade was not served with a straw and difficult to drink because of the inward curve of the glass and the ice -Ordered the Classic Prime Rib but they forgot the mushrooms - was corrected very quickly with apologies -Service was impeccable although I hate how young people refer to a male/female couple as "guys"

The Keg is the best place in Kingston for prime rib and steak, and we love Billy Miner pie. The staff is always polite and helpful, and the atmosphere in the dining room is great for a quite meal for two. We have eaten with you many times, and will certainly continue top do so.

As always, the Keg’s food and service is outstanding. However, as we don’t dine out as much as we have, I was in awe how prices have increased. With that in mind, we we will be dining out much less often and/or less expensive venues. It will be some time before we return to the Keg, I’m sorry to say.

It was a great time out, took my wife and children and my mother out for an early Mother’s Day dinner. And everyone left full and very happy with the service which was top notch, and friendly from all the staff. Our waitress was just incredible and always there when we needed anything.
