The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Morgan Creek
When you make a reservation, according to the hostess, you should know this is a family restaurant and you could be seated next to noisy children. When we asked to be moved the hostess was rude informing us we would have to wait 30 to 40 minutes as no tables were available then she proceeded to seat someone else in an empty table.
Manager was kind enough to offer a free drink but the attitude of the hostess was not acceptable when you are going out to enjoy a quiet evening. We have all had kids and I understand but when a customer requests to be moved so they can enjoy their meal and their evening, there is no need for a service place to stress them out. We spent good money there, but now may have to rethink where I go first quiet and good meal
We received excellent service from our server Tyler. We both chose meals from the Keg Classic menu, honestly it was probably the best steak we've had at the Keg!! Looking forward to our next visit.
We love the keg!!! Our food was great! The appetizers were so delicious and our waiter rocked!!! We laughed, shared stories and drank while catching up with our cousins. It was such a great relaxing evening!!!
Anniversary and Valentines Day. No complaints, everything was great.
The server was fantastic! She went above and beyond.
Overall great experience
40th wedding anniversary the waiter’s were great the food not so much appetizers were great flavour was good and hot rest of food was just warm I understand that 10 people can be hard to serve food hot but my baked potato was so cold the butter wasn’t even melting. For 6 adults and4 kids under 10 years old with 6 drinks $430..00 is crazy won’t be back
It has been consistently great since it opened years ago. Friday nights can be noisy. Mid week is best.
Steak was overcooked. Burnt on one side. Service was great.
Have had a better experience before. The waiter seemed overwhelmed maybe because it was dine out. Never acknowledged the occasion even though it was on the reservation.
Food was over all good and we had dine out which made the mess ups easier to deal with... But the steak had a really tough piece through the middle which made it harder to eat and they over cooked it as well. The waitress messed our bill up and charged us extra which the mended
We had a reservation for 5pm and it was perfect as the restaurant filled up quickly after that. The server/food was excellent and we were finished by 6;30.
Very nice evening
The escargot that I ordered was excellent, probably the best that I have ever had at the Keg (I order it all the time). The bread that came with the escargot tasted stale, it wasn’t so good. Ordered off the dine out Vancouver menu, the Caesar salad was excellent, the prime rib was cold, along with the fried onions and the mashed potatoes. The billy miner pie was great. The two bottles of wine that we polished were excellent.
I would absolutely recommend the Keg at Morgan Crossing. The service was excellent. Our server Montana was very pleasant and very helpful. The food was absolutely delicious but we thought it quire pricey. They very kindly gave us a delicious dessert free to acknowledge our wedding anniversary. We found the restaurant fairly noisy but I think was because evryone was enjoying themselves!!!!
Great Food, must try menu for Vancouver Restaurant Week!!
Long wait for service, steak was not cooked properly.... and waitress was not present enough to ask
Was not a Keg Experience :(
The foods quality is not steady, sometimes ok and sometimes is not good.
server Brandon was very polite and helpful. Went above and beyond to serve us.
The food was very good as was the wine, unfortunately the service was not. After we were seated we told our server that this was a reunion of sorts and wanted to enjoy the moment and the food, unfortunately we were constantly interrupted and felt like the sooner we finished the better so the table could be turned .The tip was based totally on the quality of the food. It seemed at times as if we were in Mc Donalds.
The whole evening experience was fine. The only criticism is that the meat we had, we both ordered he classic dinner, I had the Baseball steak and my wife had the sirloin, both steaks were tough. The flavour was outstanding and they were both cooked the way we ordered them just very chewy.
My wife’s birthday and she was so excited to dine at the Keg and she really anticipated her face, French Onion Soup. When the soup arrived, I could see it was not a melted biscuit on top. Just cheese on a pale coloured liquid. She took one bite and passed it away. She said it was watery had no flavour and reminded her of dishwater. My escargot was alright but not great. Garlic baked shrimp was pretty good. Scallops in bacon were fine. I ordered seafood trio the lobster was tiny and tough, the crab legs were ok but didn’t get much and my jumbo shrimp were cold and tough and they forgot to bring my asparagus. Her filet minot was way under cooked (still mooing). They refired it. All and all, $200 wasted. 2nd bad Keg experience in a row. Used to be amazing. Way too much staff, not good enough training in the kitchen and it seems nothing was checked for quality coming off the line.
We had a great time. The food was amazing as usual
It was wonderful and the food was delicious.
Our waitress was wonderful very cheery and pleasant !
Thank you for such a wonderful night out !
The prime rib was tough (not marbled as that is what makes prime rib tender), and warm. It didn't taste like prime rib which makes me wonder if it was prime rib. The two 7oz glasses of wine ordered was over priced ($42.00). The appetizers and fish were excellent. Our server and host were great. They explained everything clearly.
Great location, great food.
We enjoyed our meals and it was a nice celebration of my birthday.
the service was awesome and the food was good. Don't know why you discontinued the delicious garlic cheesy butter that came with the bread. It was missed, just had regular butter. The music was Queen and the sound system rattled. Maybe new speakers are needed. All in all the evening was good, just the music was annoying.
Server was very accommodating, as we split a plate and had another person show up
Prime rib was a little on the rare side. The tenderloin was fatty but was replaced with a much better piece.
Met our expectations of The Keg Chain
We had a great evening. Went for a Christmas celebration before part of the family went away. Waitress was awesome even on such a busy night. Keg food always good
Our server Jamie was great!
The food was amazing as one would expect from the keg. Our reservation was on time and we walked right in and into a nice comfy booth. Our server was great and there the perfect amount. Even their prices for a bottle of wine was better then I had expected. There prices seem to have gone up but it's BC so what hasn't right. Highly recommend going if you want a killer steak and twice baked potato.
The Keg at Morgan Crossing has always been very consistent- both with the quality of food and quality of service. It’s always a pleasant experience and good value.
Steaks overdone - no offer of money off and we ate our dinners separately while waiting for new steak. Not great
Nice booth. Great food. Renovated area. Awesome steak. Prepared as ordered.
Burger was extremely dry, ribs were average, charred corn was an cold apple and corn salad and not very nice...
Excellent food, good service, accomodating, but quite noisy. Wide chairs make it difficult for patrons to gather around tables.
Birthday and get together with another couple. Was good food and service and happy we could make the reservation for 8 people
