   Chris was our server for my dad's 65th birthday. Shout out to him for being such an amazing server. Good character, attention to detail and quick to all requests. Meal was great. 10/10

   An excellent meal on a quiet night for the restaurant with excellent service. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars this time is that they ran out of iced tea, of all things. Oh, well, things happen so I struggled through and enjoyed a beer instead.

   We love going to the Keg, but this last time, we are questioning if maybe we start going back to the south common location. We have always had great service and food at south common. We found it too cramped at the Westend location. When the people were seated beside us, when I got up to go to the bathroom, I rubbed up against the chair of the next table. It seemed very loud and even darker than normal. The waitress we had, asked my husband if he wanted another drink when his was empty, he said no and instead of taking the glass, she left it. She was constantly checking and walking by us, but not until the 3rd or 4th time by (walking by not and not interacting with us) she would finally take some dirty plates, or we would have to call her over to ask for something. We were at a small square table with the four of us there and I always felt cramped with dishes and the next table being so close. I did appreciate the chef coming out and talking to us, after I mentioned the peanut allergy my eldest daughter has. That was great and so was the food! It is unfortunate that customer service doesn’t seem to be as important to the waitress, as it was to the other departments. I don’t like sitting with my dirty dishes, while the waitress is constantly looking over and not doing anything about them. But our dissatisfaction was reflected in the tip we gave her.

   The food was well prepared and tasty. I question whether the 8oz steak that I ordered was truly 8oz based on 4oz portion generally being the size of a deck of playing cards. The steak served was marginally bigger taken the thickness of the steak into account and once the fat was trimmed it was perhaps 5oz.

    Our experience started out promisingly. The waiter was friendly and helpful, advising against a cocktail choice that he said was overly sweet. The drinks arrived promptly, and then the salads .... and then ... nothing. Our mains were brought out before anyone had removed the salad plates, so the waiter/bus boy? ended up doing a juggling act. As a paying customer, I don't feel it's my job to handle dirty dishes. When we were done the mains, again the dirty dishes sat for an extended period of time. Our original waiter had spent most of the time since delivering our salads talking with another couple across from us. He finally returned to us to ask if we wanted dessert. We declined. No one asked us how the food was; no one asked if we wanted another drink. Re: food: the steaks were done to perfection, the baked potato was as it should be, but the vegetable accompaniment was pepper heavy, particularly since our steak entrees came decorated with an entire cut-up red pepper, apparently to fill out the plate and add colour. Admittedly some people might enjoy a red, green or yellow pepper, but this seemed like a waste for food. All peppers were left untouched and so garbage bound.

    The staff are always the absolute best at this location. We actively choose to come to the west end specifically for this location because our servers have always been phenomenal. Our server, Holly, was a gem. She was funny, super kind and came to check on us just the right amount of times. Really great experience (as per usual).

    The TV on the wall directly behind us was so loud we had to move tables in order to have a conversation. Starters were good, but by the time we were finished them and got our mains, our used dishes/cutlery were still on the table. We tried asking for steak knives, but were directed to the knives we had used to butter our bread. These would not cut the steak, either because the knife was dull or the steak was tough. We asked for sharper knives, which the waitress dropped off with a sarcastic comment about the dullness of the knives that suggested they weren’t actually dull, we were just picky. These knives were not noticeably sharper, so the steak was likely just tough. Also ordered blackened chicken, which was not charred; a more fitting name would be “brown-ened” chicken. Rest of the evening was alright.

    The best thing about the Keg is its’ consistent quality of food. You always know what you are going to get, and service is fantastic. I went with my elderly parents and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The only complaint we had was that my dad (who is 92) had worn a short sleeved shirt as it was very warm outside. He was quite cold in the restaurant but the hostess was kind and brought him extra cloth napkins to cover his arms and hot tea.

    We had a great server named Emily, she was so respectful, considerate, super friendly and efficient. The rest of the service team were kind and helpful. The food was excellent. This was an amazing Mother's Day dining experience for my family!

    Probably won't be back unless we have gift cards... the food was not good this time around... starter bread was overcooked and hard to eat. Butter that came with it was not the usual butter we have had in the past and the seasoning was overpowering. Baked brie appetizer was great! Escargot was very salty and bread loaf was overcooked at well. Starter salads were good - love that dill dressing. My steak was a little under from what I asked for... veggies were bland apart from one red pepper that was so salty, I had to spit it out. Double stuffed potato was decent. Sauce was a little cold than what we are used to. Wife said her meal was about the same as mine. She ordered a Bellini as well and said it was not worth the money. Billy Minor Pie was incredible as always. I may be back just to buy that. All in all, it was supposed to be a special, "treat ourselves" kind of dinner but we felt that we could have gotten the same (if not better) result from going to Boston Pizza near our house.

    Not at all the restaurants fault but it was quite loud, so if you're looking for a quiet place to bring a date maybe don't come here on a Friday night/weekend :) Really good food though and the service was very lovely. My family goes once every couple years and we've always liked it for the most part.

    630 on a Sunday evening and they ran out of Prime Rib ? Seriously ? Escargot was cold in the center. Side vegetables were barely warm. Steak Oscar was not the usual. Steak was done as asked but the Oscar sauce was simply bernaise sauce and they threw shrimp and scallops on top afterwards. Not what I've come to expect from the Keg and for the inflated pricing. Would try somewhere else.
