    My wife and went to celebrate my birthday at the Keg Whistler in the lounge and are glad we did. We ordered the Teriyaki Classic which came with a Caesar salad and it was fantastic! The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare with a nice crust on the outside. Finished it off with a Billy Miner pie which was graciously comped. The bartender (sorry forgot his name) gave us great service.

    The Keg is generally noisy and no place for a quiet conversation. The Whistler Keg on this visit was actually relatively quiet and my partner and me could actually carry on a conversation. The food and service was good.

    First visited a Keg about 25 years ago in Banff and was happy to find they still serve a fantastic steak. Not the cheapest, but a worthwhile treat on our Canadian adventure.

    Our dinner last night for my husband's birthday was incredible. The staff were more than helpful assisting us into the restaurant as he has a Walker and can not do stairs. Their assistance was well appreciated. The food was outstanding, every thing was cooked perfectly.

    Recommend the New York strip with the pepper crust it was very nicely done and the twice baked potatoe is to die for. The restaurant is very nice , great location and atmosphere. Our server was amazing. I believe was Michelle

    As usual good food and steaks according to order. Service was mediocre this time. Ordered 2 cocktails, one not available ( which we only learned when the other came). We ordered a bottle of wine, which we had to remind the server. After a while he came back, informing us that the wine is not available, so we had to order another one. Not a single time a word like "Sorry".

    The service was great. The food sub par at best. The prawn cocktail was very bad. So rubbery, left over from night before or overly cooked. The crispy cauliflower wasn't so crispy. Couldn't sub a beep patty for chicken after offering to pay more on the burger. Had to go to another place for dinner. The people were great and the baked shrimp was delicious. The lobster bisque was nothing special.

    Great place to have a casual dinner. Prices have increased but so has everything. Service was great, a text message let us know that our table was ready a bit ahead of booking time which was awesome.

    Extremely cold Had reservations, had to wait in line 20 mins past reservation time. Check in staff extremely indifferent, rude and like we were doing them a favour to the restaurant. Very overpriced! Having to pay for an accompiant to a meal is ridiculous Unhappy experience

    This dinner (and first visit to Whistler) was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, even with a dinner reservation, we were placed in a loud area of the restaurant (upstairs with a few large tables and one 4-top extremely close to us). I ordered the filet mignon and twice baked potato - my steak was more on the rare side rather than medium-rare as ordered, and the vegetables (which apparently is only peppers/zucchini which is now the standard, no seasonal veggies to offer) and were completely cold (the baked potato was hot and good). My husband ordered the prime rib and mashed potato. The prim rib was RARE and cold! I tried some of the potato and peppers on his plate and it was all COLD. He had to send it back - but it took awhile as our waitress was very busy (due to it being busy, it wasn't the best of service and it took awhile to get her attention). The dinner was picked up and re-heated and came back out within a couple of minutes (microwaved). A man came out to advise the meal would be re-heated, but he didn't introduce himself so not sure if he was a supervisor or manager. I thought it would be nice to share a dessert (try and end the evening on a good note) so we ordered the Lemon Tart to share - for $11 it was a small tart - two bites each and it was doughy. The next night we went to dinner in our hotel (within the Whistler Village) and we both ordered steaks - that meal was perfect! (and it wasn't a steak house)

    They ran out of live lobster during lobster fest! Hmmm!! When we returned our bottle of wine, 2 lobsters were found. They were good but I am sure they had been frozen! ☹️

    The best Keg meal I’ve had yet. I had the blackened chicken with garlic mash and veg. It was all very delicious. My husband enjoyed his meal as well. Server was friendly.

    Salmon was not cooked enough, out of mushrooms and service at our table was poor. Our waitress walked by us a number of times without looking at us. The waiter next to us saw his table at minimum double of what we had. We waited over 10 mins to have our plates picked up. It was not that busy at 8pm.

    A stove was broken, so any hot starters that required this were not available. We were able to have the calamari, but not sure there was any actually present - tasted like we were eating just deep fried batter. Meals were delayed as the kitchen "messed something up on one of the meals".

    Went there for my 50th birthday with my family. The appetizers were great. The sides for our main were terrible. The mushroom rice had hard bits in it, the veggies were overdone, we like ours crispy, my daughters fries were dry—like they have been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. Also the bread with cheese in the beginning was way to crunchy were it had hard bits. A lot of money spent for an OK food experience

    The wedge salad was cold, crisp, and very generous. One Filet was a tiny bit overcooked, but medium-on-the-rare side was still very good. I couldn't have the pistachio crusted salmon my preferred medium-rare, as the kitchen will only prepare to medium rareness. The filet Oscar was outstanding, and all side dishes (Brussels, mushrooms, asparagus, garlic mashed, baked/liaded potato) were prepared perfectly. Attentive service and a good wine selection, too.

    Sirloin steak was chewy. I had to ask the server to bring bread half way through the meal instead of being offered it at the start. Shrimp cocktail smelled fishy and shouldn’t have a smell if it’s fresh.

    We have visited this Keg location a handful of times and have had a few good experiences, but this was a time it fell quite short. The highlight of our experience was the server as his service was great for the most part and he was very welcoming and kind. In terms of the bad; we had a 6:30 reservation, 6:25 arrival and did not get sat until 6:45 and were shocked as the restaurant was VERY slow when we went in… we were sat at a table upstairs right beside a patio door which also shared space with a hotel pool that was filled with children yelling and playing in the pool, why was the door open at dinner time for us to be stuck with the noise..? As we ordered, we both wanted an 8oz sirloin steak and ordered one each, but a few moments later our server returned and advised that there was only ONE 8oz sirloin left… AT 6:30pm? And so I was offered a smaller steak in the 6oz or I was forced to get the larger steak which I did not need. At this point the expectation would be that I would pay the price of the 8oz as that’s what I wanted and I would receive the best option which would be the larger steak. Why am I forced to pay for the larger steak when I wanted the smaller size but was not able to have that option…? As a former restaurant manager this just shows a lack of management customer service- very disappointing. The steak ended up coming out medium rare in 1/3 when I ordered it medium, but I did not want the full steak and so I avoided the very undercooked portion. Dessert was great as it’s a pre made cake. Overall thankful for our server as he was kind and apologetic but clearly a lack of management, a lack of engagement and seemed sloppy all around. Also ended up having 5 large ants crawl onto the table during our dinner. We showed them to the fellas in the black uniforms on our way out so hopefully this was addressed- gross. Not sure if it is due to it being a slower Monday but just a shame that our anniversary was not given the same care as it has in the past.

    I am very disappointed in your system for bookings. I made a booking for my birthday dinner on June 15, which was accepted and I received a confirmation and a reminder. I was very disappointed to arrive at the restaurant to see a sign indicating it was closed for renovations! Your system should reflect closures and not allow bookings.

    A super disappointing experience. The service was so slow. We waited 45 minutes for our food and the restaurant was almost empty. The restaurant is in desperate need of an update. It was old and dark and dingy. Not the experience I expect from a Keg. The food was just ok. Veggies had no flavour and the kids sirloin was over peppered. We will not return to this Keg.

    I went for my birthday on May 6 2023 and it was over just not worth the price. The server was rude loudly said that we did not give a tip when we were about to get to it. The food was way underdone from what we were supposed to get. They ran out of 4 of the things we wanted. The baked Brie crackers were hard. Over hated the experience would not go again.
