My friends and I arranged a surprise dinner party for a friend on her birthday! The staff was very helpful, accommodating, set us up with a nice table, was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!
good small place for an Irish bite, great atmosphere and ambiance. Loud but fun!
Great experience! Gabriel, Kevin and Maria were all wonderful and the food was delicious!
Always a great spot to eat and have a pint! Food and service are excellent!
The restaurant located in very touristic place but when I visited the restaurant (Saturday, 1 pm) is was very a few people there. I saw a few families with small kids. There is kids menu, variety of food, good drinks. The restaurant has two levels, different types of tables to situate different number of people. The first level is a little dark - the pub section, the second level has much more light . It fits better for dining.
It is good place to dine out. On both levels there are a few screens to watch sport shows.
We were visiting Chicago and basically found this place using google maps restaurant lookup for something in walking distance to us. This was a great Irish establishment! The decor was on point, the drinks were good, service was great and food was amazing! We had everything from the pretzel appetizer to the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese to the corned beef sandwich to the fish and chips to the Shepard’s pie. It was all very good. I will definitely go back next time I’m in Chicago!
Not overly impressed. So-so food. So-so service. Super loud. 2 obnoxious drunk guys behind us ... and they, and us, were the only ones on the 2nd floor. Was expecting something with a bit more historical ambiance ... perhaps some Irish music, given its name. Just an average bar. Didn’t meet our expectations.
Amazing Irish Comfort food. So impressed with level of service and quality of food. Was worried this may be a tourist style place but it is far from that. Kudos to the owner for a fantastic selection of food and amazing quality. Will definitely be back!!
We had a large group reservation for brunch and were super accommodating when we added to the reservation. Service was also top notch. We live in the area and will be back!
Good food, very accommodating. A bit too dark but a nice atmosphere
We were seated right away and waited on quickly. Server was kind and attentive to our needs. Food was very good.
Fish and chips were great. Steak was decent. Ambiance was very good. Cool little spot. The outside of the restaurant is beautiful. Solid whiskey selection.
The fish and chips are out of this world!
Loved the atmosphere and the food was great. Also had outstanding service. Would go back for sure.
Chopped salad and pretzel were amazing!
Everything was very good. I even got the Irish bartender laughing over several of my Irish jokes. I am Irish. The shepherds pie was excellent.
Everything was great, however we chose tea time on labour day so it was a little noisey
Everything was great. Sat outside and had our dog with us.
Shepherds pie was fantastic. Turkey club and bread pudding was just ok. Server brought the check and put it on the table without saying a word, without asking if we were finished. We planned to get dessert. Great beer list. Ate outside, which was nice.
Great place. Good view from corner 2nd floor table
We had an excellent outdoor dining experience. Their outdoor area was filled with flowers and was quiet! I had the appetizer quesadillas with bacon and gouda cheese as my meal: delicious and PLENTY!
One of the nicest sidewalk dining experiences in the city.
Great friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere. This is our go-to Irish Restaurant!
Ate here as a party of 10. Pretzel starter was small but the bacon jam was fantastic. Shepherd's pie was good. Soda bread was so-so. Daughter had steak and fries - really liked them. Hubby had good fish and chips. Service was good.
Great customer service! Provided with a private space for company dinner......perfect!
Noisy and smoky - this is a difficult place to have dinner. The food was very mediocre. Too greasy on multiple dishes. I expected more from an Irish pub.
We had the shepherds pie and the southwest salad with blackened shrimp. Both were delicious and portions were generous. Service was great! Will definitely be back!!
I love the ambiance of The Kerryman -- has a cozy tavern feel, with good food and good service. Only hiccup in our visit, this time, was that we were seated upstairs right away, however the wait staff wasn't aware that we were there so it took a while to get drinks. No biggie -- it worked out.
Consistently good food and bountiful portions. Service is attentive and delicious Bloody Marys!
The food was amazing! I had the pot roast and it melted in my mouth. The Gouda mac was out of this world. Will definitely be back.
We loved our dinner at the Kerryman. Sat up on the top floor so my dad who is on oxygen and uses a walker had to take a few stairs (no option) but he managed okay. The food was delicious. $10 for a glass of wine seemed high but maybe that's normal for Chicago. All in all we had a good time. Noise level was excellent - easy to visit. Servers were outstanding.
Not a lot of corned beef in the corned beef hash but the Irish breakfast was great. $5 bloody marys on Sundays, no complaint with me. And the Irish coffee's are made just right
Always dependably delicious salads (our go to choice) and a good selection of fairly priced drink specials.
Easter brunch! Food delish, almost private upstairs dining with friends and family, really excellent service.
Maria is awesome!
Live the table in the back!
Great place for brunch!! Loved everything about it! Food, service and such a cool placed
The food was superb and the service was excellent. We’ll definitely go back!
The had our reservations held as a Reserved table on St. Patrick's Day morning. Food was good. Enjoyed the Irish Breakfast: Irish sausage, Irish bacon, black (not a fan of blood sausage 😩) and white pudding. As well as corned beef and hash.
Love this place on every level!
Best place to have St. Patricks Day Celebration!
The experience was fine. I feel like it’s more of a bar to grab a drink and maybe have an appetizer than a restaurant to eat dinner at. The service was good, everyone was friendly but they didn’t do anything special for my boyfriend’s birthday and I ordered a steak medium well and it was definitely medium. I’d go back but just for a beer because I liked the environment.
