   I was in town for a trade show and booked The Lawrence through Open Table. I received a text the day before asking me to confirm my reservation, which I did. When I showed up to dinner Monday night with coworkers and customers I was pretty embarrassed to find the restaurant closed. We ended up walking to the Vortex as they were one of the few places that could accommodate a larger party on late notice. Very, very frustrating.

   Don’t get scrambled eggs because they use powdered eggs… gotta order real eggs … Food was meh all around - the grits were cold and hard, shrimp undercooked and cold. General - all food lacked proper seasoning. Drinks are good.

   Unfortunately, a very limited menu for evening due to unexpected increase in business from activities in Atlanta. At least that’s what our server told us. will have to come back another time and try a special cocktail and some entrees apps. We were seated just past 8pm.

    Haven’t been here in a while. Arrived on time and seated promptly. Table by the window was a little chilly, but comfortable. Ty was a great waiter. Cocktail service was slow but he kept us apprised and even bought our appetizer. Very classy. Muscles and chicken were good. We ordered a Manhattan and a martini which were well crafted although the house special drinks were not appealing to us. A bit odd that the martini olive was not pitted. I’d change that. Very noisy and boisterous, but we expected that on a Saturday night. Street parking was plentiful. Price was reasonable for today’s inflated economy.

    Had another great night out at The Lawrence. Their menu changes often - but they still keep their go to favorites. This night I tried the fried chicken entree and the jerk chicken tagliatelle. Both delicious!! Our waitress was lovely. Will be back.

    I ordered an impossible burger without bacon. The food runner brought it out and said “here’s your impossible burger without bacon.” It turns out there actually was bacon on the burger. The restaurant didn’t seem to care. It was my third time eating here and I’m reminded why I didn’t like it the first time. The server was attentive and the environment was chill. Definitely give the place a try but check your food beforehand if you’re vegetarian or have food sensitivities.

    Overall, great drinks, good food, and great vibes. Noise level was pretty loud so it was difficult to have conversations. Other than that, it was a good place for dinner!

    The service & servers are AWESOME! Costeel was wonderful & very attentive. The deviled eggs were very tasty, the sangria was delicious. The burger was way too salty & because they add pork to the mix they cook it med well which I do not like. Barely ate it due to the salt & chewy texture.

    The food was amazing! I got the snaked salmon blt. I also got a sangria too. It was delicious too. My husband got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was seasoned well. We will definitely be back!

    Awesome food. The salmon with sweet potatoes was perfectly done with a hint of hotness that made it perfect. Excellent sangria too. And the deviled eggs were better than any other I have ever had.

    Absolutely perfect. Cocktails were beautifully crafted and delicious. The food was presented well and our tastebuds danced with delight. Our server was courteous and attentive, and the bartenders were talkative and bubbly. This is a must go to restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
