Absolutely lovely as always
Waiter a bit arrogant. Some of the food outstanding, some just ok.
Amazing service, incredible food in a beautiful setting!
Special place. A little tight in
Dined many times but found chicken dish prep diminished . A little purée or something to unite it might help but some Brussels thrown in fries seemed cafeteria style. Chicken was juicy and tender though !
Didn’t get waited on for a long time. Had to ask the person clearing tables to find someone for us. Received a side dish we didn’t order so the waiter said it was “on him.” Didn’t really go with what either of us ordered. Sadly, not a return trip for us next time we’re in the city.
Delicious good with great presentation. Nice ambience, romantic. Only suggestion is to increase portion sizes
Lotsa tourists and school children. Even a loud fire truck came by for an outdoor assembly at the neighboring school.
Noise level high because of school recess across the street.
Waiter (Peter) outstanding, paying attention to every detail. However, it took forever for food to come out of the kitchen. After we politely expressed our annoyance with this, we wound getting comped for the entire meal. A remarkable gesture, one I have never experienced in a lifetime of NYC dining.
Service, Food, Location and Ambiance were all superb and more than we could have wished for. Chef Campanaro even came out and greeted everyone!
Wonderful. Music too loud. Food great and creative.
Would come back every week if we could! Don’t hesitate!
Birthday. We got to dance in the street with a strolling brass band!
The Little Owl has the loveliest waitstaff who were so so kind and treated me like a queen when my boyfriend was running 15 minutes late. A wonderful wine recommendation was made, the food was all stellar, and we had such a lovely evening.
Food excellent. Service so nice and affable. Relaxing lunch. Bellini, fish of the day, and brownies--what could be better?
Fabulous food. Friendly service. Lovely outdoor seating.
Fantastic food and wait staff. New favorite.
Always enjoy eating at the little owl. The food is incredible and waitstaff are always kind and attentive. Would highly recommend a visit.
We’ve loved the Little Owl for years, but this time it was very disappointing. We sat inside. They’ve removed half of the tables to make a station for the waiters to close tickets but it felt very industrial. Big long metal tables. It took away from the original ambience that’s always been so special there. Each table had these new tiny lamps that were extremely bright. Lit up the room way too much in my opinion. We ended up turning ours off. Our waiter was very aloof. Almost like he was just waiting for the evening to be over and was having to put up with waiting on us. Then he started walking around the restaurant eating an apple. Very odd. Like he was too good to be there or something. We got a salad, the tuna crudo and the fish special served over lobster paella. The salad and crudo were good but the fish was not. It was very fishy and the paella had no flavor. Overall we were very disappointed as The Little Owl has been one of our favorite restaurants for years.
Best in the city
Phenomenal food, great atmosphere, playlist was amazing, definitely recommend
Beautiful restaurant with wonderful food and service. The pear salad, meatball sliders, and ziti Patricia were delicious. The atmosphere was charming. We enjoyed our evening in the quaint area of West Village.
Another wonderful dinner at the Little Owl. The food was fabulous as usual and the service was amazing. We will be back soon.
Little Owl is such a cute spot and the food is wonderful! They have a large patio to accommodate many people! We had a wonderful fall dinner with roast chicken, Brussels sprouts and sides of corn and cauliflower. The flavors were delicious!! It was such a pleasure to spend an evening there!
Little Owl is wonderful food atmosphere location staff one of my faves when I can get a res. I especially love eating inside as it is so charming!
A larger selection of vegetarian dishes would be greatly appreciated both by the diners and animals who wouldn’t have to be slaughtered
Great food and wonderful staff...I love this restaurant and highly recommend it
We had a wonderful server and really delicious food. I don't eat meat so I love to go to places where they get creative with their vegetables without making them heavy. Bravo. Always a wonderful experience!
Do something about bees, flies and bugs. a bit crowded but tolerable considering we are outside Bathroom - sad!!
Marvelous!! As small as the interior of the restaurant is, that's how much bigger their outside dining is and so it felt spacious and comfortably distanced. The food, as always, is marvelous and diverse. Service was excellent and pleasant.
Noise inside may be an issue but we dined on the sidewalk, entertained by the sashaying women and men stiking poses for their cameras. Madly bizarre. So the food has to compete with this. It did. My snapper special was outstanding. My husband liked the eggplant parm sauce but would have preferred less cheese.
The food was outstanding! The staff members were happy and did everything they could to make our dining experience perfect!
our main server, he was great. took care of for order and for dessert (celebrated anniversary).
kind and knowledgeable
Lunch with family. The weather was stellar and I was glad I reserved outdoor dining. The pear salad was superb and the service was flawless!
We had five people dining and we sat outside. There was some stuff going on around us but it's NYC. Our service from Gilbert was great. The food was amazing! We actually ordered like 7 apps for the able and it hit the spot. Will definitely return when in the city.
Fabulous food. Great service. Sat outside in pouring rain, stayed warm and dry. Our waiter Peter was great. Loved the place
Perfect dinner at a perfect restaurant - highly recommended!
This place NEVER disappoints. The service is impeccable and the food and drinks outstanding. We had the calamari and the burger and the lil ‘Ritas! So delish! We’ll be back again and again!
