Great dinner and service. I will say that the cynicism of ramping the tip defaults up to 16%, 21% etc. has invited me to reduce tipping in the future. That was irritating.

No one was there to greet you to give your table. Waited for five minutes before I had to walk inside to find someone. That was still okay as they were busy. Server was not at all nice, was rushing, rude. This poor standard of service was never seen in Calgary before.

Great service. The gnocchi could use more seasoning, the beef cheeks pasta (which was very al dente) also lacked some flavouring. Other than that, we were very pleased with our evening.

Excellent dining experience. Loved the warm, cozy feel of the heated atrium by the fire. Service was excellent with every server working together as a team to make sure we had what we needed. Foot was spectacular. Highly recommend the Living Room.

What a great restaurant! We’ll definitely come again, the cheese fondu was fun to share as an appetizer, our server was very attentive to our needs, kept us on time so we weren’t late to our show. Manager came and greeted us and checked in during our supper…. Easy going yet professional vibe at the Living Room! We had the Steak and Lasagna and they were incredible! See you again soon to try something different from the menu to experience all the great offerings!

I was there for a brunch date with my 5year old daughter. They almost ruined it for me. I ordered the Crushed Fingerling Potatoes. What I got served should not be served to a dog; the appearance was terrible, the bowl was filled with an excess of oil. It was as though they were passing me a clear message they did not want me there. I challenged the server on the oil to which she immediately admitted it was indeed excessive and took the meal away. It was replaced with another bowl. OMG! the difference this time was night and day!!! The meal was served the proper way this time. For the sake of my daughter, I kept my cool. My biggest confusion was the server; she was the most pleasant and graceful. It was either of two things; she did as she was ordered or she deserves a spot in Hollywood. I will like to think it is the former.

Tasty food. Much better prices at happy hour. Had some delay using an OpenTable cheque but once manager became involved, was accepted without delay. Atrium was very comfortable, warm and brighter than inside dining. Was nice for our birthday guests to get a complimentary bubbly.

Dinner was delicious. Cocktails were very nice as well. Server looked a little bit busy, seemed like he was the only one at the restaurant at that time, but the service was still good. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

The food was lovely and innovative. I had the grilled sourdough focaccia, the cucumber salad, and wild mushroom pierogi-all presented well and quite delicious. The service great, attentive but not intruding. It’s in a great location on 17th. It was quiet, but we went on a Monday night.

**Watered Down Fondue**: We have been coming to the living room for the past 3 years and unfortunately, today will be our last visit. We noticed a steep decline in food quality since our last visit in June 2023, to the point it was almost un-eatable. The fondue (a dish we always order) was watered down and the cheese would not stick the food. It felt like it was a combination of milk, water and oil and less cheese. My kids love cheese fondue and even they did not want to eat it. The protein was very tasty (chicken and tenderloin) but the side brócoli was burnt and dry, the potatoes were fine. Unfortunately I will not recommend this restaurant any longer to any of my friends.

Our server was fantastic, we've been out to a few restaurants on 17th Ave recently and the lack of attentiveness was a common theme. However the Living Room was the opposite provide great service, along with great food. It was quieter but we did have a late reservation on a Tuesday night. Overall 5/5 will return.

I was here recently and had the spinach ravioli, it was excellent! The drinks were great, and our server Will was amazing. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out. I’ll be coming back!

What a fantastic evening at Living Room. Brett, our server was outstanding. First glance at the "Stampede" menu was admittedly underwhelming. Guided along to give it a try by Brett, my girlfriend and I settled on the Compressed cucumber salad and crab cakes. Wow, the love came quickly after that for the menu. The pairings of these small plates with the Conundrum White Wine blend... spectacular. We then were staying! Handmade pasta means I will try the gnocchi (even though not officially an Italian Restaurant) and opting for the vegetarian option, my dining partner ordered... the roasted cauliflower. Our mains were going to be the final test for our evening. Absolutely zero disappointment; fantastic flavours creativity, freshness and thoughtful care to cooking rounded out our excellent choices. Kept with the Conundrum White blend... great decision. I will say the cauliflower "steak" which I have roasted on numerous occasions was a bit of a baseball tenderloin ;o). Cut the cauliflower horizontal to give a substantive portion for the price, this would have been 5***** for sure. As it was 4.75-4.8 for sure!! All in all, we are glad we stayed. Wonderful dinner. Wonderful wine. Wonderful company (of course that goes without saying ;o) ). We were taken care of so well. Told we had the best "people watching table" there and that was so true. Close our eyes and despite the emphasis on Western wear... we could've been in any "world class" city as we like to say in YYC, that we are. Well, I love this City, but we need far more experiences like last night to be that 365 days a year, Congratulations to Living Room and others along 17th for forcing the issue of outdoor patios on Council. About time. We will absolutely NEVER reach world class status if we continue to value cars over cuisine and COMMUNITY! Lots of ways to get to 17th... absolutely do not miss out on The Living Room!
