It was a very pleasant afternoon whi8 we enjoyed.
one of our favorites great location and excellent staff
Enjoyed the food and ambiance. Found the server was not very attentive. Had to ask for refills of water and hot water for tea.
Great location developing area and still full. Credit to the menu and staff.
Used a Groupon for dinner and really enjoyed the 3 course meal. The seafood bouillabaisse was great with lots of seafood although a tad tomato-y, the short ribs and cod were delicious, and the pot de crème was yummy, while the vegan cheesecake was different but still quite good if you have dietary restrictions. Portion sizes were good, service was friendly and attentive, and the included parking was a bonus. The restaurant is a little loud, but we had a nice window table and a good evening all around. Too bad the highball specials were recently discontinued on Fridays and Saturdays. Coffee is pricey.
Mushroom soup was delicious, pizza specials excellent value. Friendly efficient service.
Coffee/tea expensive !
Extremely good service. Food was average, location good.
Lots of coffee refills offered
I would highly recommend this restaurant for food, service, and ambiance. They did a great job given the large number of diners over many hours for Valentines !
The restaurant seemed to be swamped for the valentines day dinner, the service was really too slow... must be better organized, and have to improve guys!
Overall nice place and I recommend it to my friends and families
Nice atmosphere and the food was good
the choice of music playing was loud and irritating Hip Hop the general crowd for middle aged
Parking is a chore--How many people memorize their license plates ? Sugg: Move the pay parking machine to the garage or don't charge for parking at all !
It was my friend's birthday and this was the right place to celebrate. The food was delicious and the waitress was very good and saw to our every need. It's a lovely place to dine, we'll be back. Thank you.
Food, ambience and value was great. What we didn't like was that we were “Rushed” to finish up because somebody else booked our table in spite of vacant tables.
Perfect place to catch up with friends. We were never rushed and service was great.
Food was ok! (I have to say I’m very peaky when it comes to food). I ordered the beef brisket. The meat itself smelled like meat(lamb) if you know what I mean. So I didn’t enjoy it much. My husband ordered lamb shank and it was good. Service was good, a bit slow but not that it bothered us.
Super efficient service, very attentive. Really appreciated (Friday night 6pm).
Food was excellent. The lingcod and Spaetzle excellent. Lost a star due to the too simple bland chocolate pudding. Will be back again for sure.
Met up with a couple friends for Dine out Vancouver to try out the food. So glad we came. Absolutely brilliant. We will be back.
It was a Dine out Vancouver night. We started with the Roasted fall greens and I had the WEST COAST BOUILLABAISSE both were great. Then for the mains we had the angus short ribs and the braised lamb shank both of our meals were delicious. We finished with the POT DE CRÈME which as rich and creamy.
The Dine out menu is good value.
The dinner we had was superb - the Alaska Black Cod beautifully cooked and presented. It was a definite repeat! Our server was delightful - friendly, attentive but not hovering. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I thank you.
Love the warm staff here...always get reliable, quality food here and the servers are efficient & friendly!
I enjoy the room even though it is very loud. We were here last year around the same time , i ordered the short rib from the Dineout menu (same thing I ordered last year). I must say the whole plate was much better than last time . My guest enjoyed her's more as well . As for the service we both felt rushed after our meal , like our server wanted to go home but not pass the table off. All in all way better than our first meal at the lobby . See you next year .
We went for dine out Vancouver and in my opinion this is an opportunity for a restaurant to allow a great experience so you would want to come back, however that’s not how I felt after being there. The food was fair. however the service is what ruined it for me. One thing I will say about the food is they had a short and lamb shank on their menu and both had the exact same sauce, very bland tasting and no flavour. Meat was however cooked well. Our first course took 30 minutes to come out, entree took 45 minutes and dessert...well we just asked to get it wrapped up to go as we were not planning for a more than 2 hour dining experience. Even getting the dessert to go took over 20 minutes after we paid our bill. The waiter walked passed us several times without a word to see how we were doing or to even let us know the kitchen was perhaps running behind. The table we sat at was uncomfortable and tucked in behind the host stand. The table left so much room in between me and my partner, we had to basically yell at each other to speak as it was loud and all the tables are very close to one another so you can hear everything. Will not be going back.
Once again at the Pinnacle Lobby Restaurant for an intimate celebration. Food, service ambiance was terrific. A little slow service due to the ' Dine Out in Vancouver Crowd'. but still great. The obligatory walk around the pier afterwards is always a highlight as well. New Hotel and Joey's Shipyard are appealing as well. Rink is great, but should be open to 8pm not 7 pm.
The venue is in a great location and is bright and beautiful. If you buy two hours of parking for $13.00 they will give you a bill credit of $12.50 so that was nice.
The service to get your drinks and food is quite slow and I asked our server if they had any brunch specials such as mimosas or caesars and she said yes. I asked how much, but she wasn’t sure. It was a birthday celebration so I just ordered it anyway.
The food had some amazing flavours, the hollandaise was the best we’ve ever had. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The hash browns are thinly sliced and seasoned perfectly. Unfortunately all the meals were cold. The rye toast was burnt and the steak although it wasn’t burnt had a burnt taste to it.
I have had dinner here before and it was fantastic so I would likely go back and try it again.
It was a lovely dinner. I had the cod and it was quite good but a bit too Smokey tasting. Our server was ok but seemed annoyed at the end when I asked her to split the bill. We quite obviously had 3 separate couples at the table and we all had different meals. Why would we want to sit there and try to calculate our costs when technology allows them to break down the bill. She should have asked when she took our orders or even before she brought the bill. Annoying end to a nice night out with friends.
Hello CindyD, We're glad to hear that you enjoyed yourselves and appreciate your feedback on the food. We're disappointed to hear about your experience with the bill and couldn't agree more about it. We happily accommodate separate checks for parties up to 12 and are sorry that your experience didn't match our own expectations. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your visit and we hope you will join us again soon. Brett Patton Restaurant Manager
Excellent service and delicious food. For a birthday celebration they brought us an assorted dessert tray, which was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Enthusiastically recommend
It was our pleasure. Thank you for celebrating your birthday with us! Brett Patton Restaurant Manager
Yes, for sure. We used the Dine Out Vancouver menu and were pleased to see it contained more items than was listed on-line. Everything was first-rate. The only negative I can think of is that it's a very loud environment... I could see no attempt in the decor to absorb sound... high ceilings with no sound treatment, hard walls with no sound treatment. Very loud environment. Sound treatment is very easy to do and also easy to install within a design plan. Surprised you have not done this.
We booked a table during the dine out festival. The dine out menu was good value although very limited. The food was fine but it wasn’t particularly special which is a shame because we have eaten here before and the food has been much better
Brunch was excellent, service was great. I made a request for a booth in the reservation which we got. Very positive experience.
Great neighbourhood hotel ... good value dine out, with great service.
Great food, great atmosphere for a causal night out.
Odra is an amazing server! Extremely friendly, kind and helpful.
Food was delicious! Great place!
Hi GustavoT, We think so too and it means a lot when we hear it from our guests. Thank you taking the time to tell us about your visit! Brett Patton Restaurant Manager
We enjoyed an excellent roast beef dinner. Being early January there was not a lot going on at the restaurant and the noise level was easy to live with.
We were there for New Year’s Eve, they had a 3 course set dinner and everything was absolutely delicious. We’ve been there before for brunch and dinner as well and every times we were really happy with foods and ambiance.
The band was too loud and it was hard to talk with the friends. It would be better if it was not too loud.
It took too long for serving the food.
My name is Cristina and I often bring different groups of friends to The Pinnacle. The food is exquisite and very reasonable at HH in particular! Tammy and Vanessa are excellent waitresses and I always look forward to seeing them. Vanessa makes fabulous mixed drinks! Great attitude and service!
We enjoyed the New Year's eve food immensely. The appetizer was delightful and I was in heaven eating my steak with crab......My friend's lamb was quite raw and fatty in places though. We ordered the poached pears but the pear was rock hard. We had to go get knives to cut them eventually!
We preferred the set-up you had last year when we purchased the tickets in advance. It is lovely to have everything paid for in advance so we don't to have bring cash and credit cards. Last year there were also party favors which added to the party atmosphere. We brought our own so we brightened our table. Personally, we would prefer a DJ. When we left after midnight Seaside and Tap and Barrel had fabulous DJ music after hours. I spend quite a bit of time at The Pinnacle and will continue to bring new friends in the future. Happy New Year! Cristina
