The Lobby - Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier
Keep returning as the food and service is fantastic and consistent.
Loved our servers
Best, most affordable, lamb in the City and every other dish was superb as well
Good atmosphere, Lots of Fun, superb service, reasonably priced - Who could ask for more
Great menu options, good blend of dietary and taste options.
Fantastic happy hour selection with a good vibe in the room
Good service and food
The server seemed annoyed with us that we wanted to move. The table was right in the sun in the window and even with sunglasses I couldn't see. Service was not great. Food was very average for the price point.
Have dined at the Lobby a few times in the past. Couple of months. service is especially good and prompt.
We plan to return often.
Great as usual. We always go for Happy Hour as it's less expensive.
This was a great Sunday treat for us starting with Caesar salad and I had the Bacon salmon Soup - both were awesome. For the main entree we both has the Sunday dinner Special of Prime Rib and Yorkshire puddings. - Everything was delicious, cooked to perfection, served with mashed potatoes and veggies. We then polished off a piece of cheese cake and I had the gelato for dessert. We will be back to the Lobby.....
We went to the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier to take advantage of the special 3 course dinner for 2 people for $74. We were there to celebrate my birthday and we had 3 of our friends join us along with my wife and mother in law. The food was very good though we had to wait a fair bit between courses once we received our food we were not disappointed. We had a very nice server looking after us as well. Overall the food, service and ambiance of the restaurant was very good. It is very good value for your money so I would recommend it!
Really attentive servers. Lightings a little annoying with the big window. Need a bright wall opposite it. Otherwise nice room.
We booked a table for 7.30pm but arrived 30 minutes early. The hostess was kind enough to find us a table immediately, and in a quieter corner (as requested). The restaurant was very noisy - with several large screens, and lots of loud clients but our secluded table helped. The food was good, but it was our waitress, Tammy, who made our evening with prompt and friendly service.
Wonderful west coast menu and food presentation is outstanding, beautifully executed. Service is very good (thank you Tammy); however when this place is full it's more than a bit noisy which takes away from the ambiance. It boggles the mind why such a fine restaurant has to stoop the level of offering Groupon coupons. It cheapens their brand and experience.
Good food and service.
The food at The Lobby at the Pinnacle was exceptional - and I appreciate good food!! Service was slow but we did not mind as we were not in a rush. The Lobby Restaurant totally lacks ambiance - sitting in a booth eating a wonderful meal is not my style. I was disappointed that the restaurant was out of muscles as I was looking forward to having them as my appetizer - maybe next time!
We have had the 3 course dinner twice recently. The mussels appetizer is good, but not as good as I would expect - wine sauce is bland. The prawns and scallop main dish is good, but the risotto is too lemony and too wet.
We enjoy coming to the Quay and would visit the Pinnacle again but maybe not for the 3 course dinner. I like the lounge and happy hour better, and the eggs Bennie are very good!
Both times we have waited a long time for our dishes as there are events going on upstairs at the same time and the kitchen must be a bit overwhelmed.
I'd like to think our Server must have had a bad day. We waited past my usual tolerance patience level for our mains after a fabulous start to our dining experience with 2 great appys. Well over 30 min since appy plates were collected from our table. Asked the server for an update as I'm beginning to lose my appetite. Her expression wasn't great. And gave a somewhat curt remark that there're 40 patrons and only one kitchen!! Like as if that's our problem, I thought. Spoke to the manager Mr. Aga Khan, who was most gracious and helped elevated our by then deflated appetite with his wonderful disposition and service. Kudos to Aga👍
Excellent meal and service.
Food and service was great but extremely noisy.
Great location for access to the quay and the open fare
Music level was reduced upon request.
Service was prompt and accurate without being particularly engaging.
Neither upselling, nor recommendations.
Absolutely, you have a very nice Happy Hour menu and our server, Cinnamon was excellent. Our meals were very good and great value for the money.
Upon arriving and saying I had a reservation, the Hostess had a dumdfounded look on her face and was completely unaware that one had been made.
All the premium window seats were taken so we were seated at a both.
It is my expectation that when I make a reservation that it is noted and a reserve sign is placed at at a premium table . I chose this restaurant as it was a special occasion. I might as well have a drop-in in jeans and a tee-shirt .
A large hotel chain should have a plan for reservations get preferred seating.
Lunch was very good and our waiter was terrific
Best prawn & scallop dish around!!
I hate the new parking plan. I don’t know if people understand what the food actually costs. I think you could monitor the parking another way
I think that the food at the Pinnacle has gone downhill in terms of quality and quantity but prices have gone up....it is ok but for an expensive restaurant in a hotel, its not quite up to par. ...we had their prime rib on Sunday but found very skimpy amount of gravy, no horseradish, small portion of potato etc...we have had better at local pubs for less money.. Given it was Fathers Day , we thought there would be something on the tables or whatever to mark the occasion but no mention of it at all. we have gone there many, many times over the years and the service is always very good and its rarely busy.....there is really not much ambiance at all, decor is boring, chairs uncomfortable...people dine there in shorts and muscle shirts etc so very casual attire is acceptable.....they have changed their parking rules in that you have to pay for the parking first then they deduct it off your bill...seems like a waste of time to us.
Food was excellent. We had the 3 course dinner for two. Good value at $37pp. No view from the restaurant.
It was possibly one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Completely due to the poor attitude of the waitress. We were ahead of time with happy hour, with our adult children. We ordered drinks and let her know we would fill up before happy hour ended. She droned on about not allowing x number of ounces per time at the table each. We’ve been to many happy hours. This is not our first and it was not a rowdy dinner! These were not doubles and blah blah. That was followed by passive aggressive treatment with respect to a substitution on the groupon menu. I was getting my sons dish from my groupon menu and ordering a more expensive option off the regular menu. She said she thought it was ok for me to move my plate over to him.. really!!! Are you going to tell us we can’t eat off each other’s plates as well?? Or share. Lord! Never going back! Too bad we like the good, we are locals.. not recommended!!
Tammy is exceptional!!
It was my Mother's 90th birthday, I had not been here before. The food was good but our server was very slow and not attentive, the food also took as very long time to arrive after ordered. Fortunately my Mother was happy, the rest of us were not.
The fact that it was quiet and very close to my friend's hotel at the Quay, with service that was prompt and non-intrusive, made this a worthwhile spot for our wow-has-it-really-been-since-1976 reunion breakfast. I wish they had offered more coffee.
Wouldn’t go back. Not very good service and food was bland
Our server was good but food took 45 mins to arrive and everything seemed very dried out. My avacado toast had large pieces of avacado and tomato and was somewhat soggy would not order this again especially for the price.
Bouillabaisse was served with the mussels, but the large bowl for the shells AND a spoon weren't provided. Had to ask for a spoon and it arrived with food stains on it. Torte this time was warm, seemed fresh but the chocolate sauce was "too dark" and was very bitter, overwhelmed the original taste of the chocolate cake.
We were not a part of the ‘Groupon’ promotion that took place that evening and in fact if we had known we were going to be affected so adversely by this group we would have changed our reservation.
Also, for such a lovely hotel, a better facility with a view should be developed. The food was excellent however. Sadly none of us will be back.
Great service even though no condiments were offered neither was tea/coffee at dessert time. The Chicken Marsala was tasteless , veges were good but the chunk of breast had no flavour.
Dessert was great.
Quite Noisy and crowded for our 7pm reservation. Completel y full. Regardless, the Service was terrific our server was fantastic in light of how busy it was. Pleasant and Efficient :). The food was surprisingly " Outstanding". Every item. Carpaccio, Salad, Rack of Lamb, Bouillabaisse, Salmon, Creme Brûlée, Tart were amazingly delicious and well presented. Would love to come again under Groupon, BUT, the menu is a little too limited. Regular menu looks AWESOME and we will come again for that. Well Done Lobby Restaurant, you've completely turned around and in our books the best food on the North Shore and for that matter Vancouver. Lovely venue and had a great walk on the Pier after dinner. All in all a 5* evening for the four of us. We highly recommend and will come again PS: I love the Breakfast too. R
Bouillabaisse was served without the mussels, when inquired, they mentioned they ran out and gave extra prawns instead BUT at the plating before entree arrived, they provided a large bowl for the mussel shells. Would they not know by then? Creme Brulee was hard and felt it was a bit on the stale side. I would have done a better brulee myself. Torte was over baked, super try and cold.
Despite a booking, the table was not ready; staff seemed rushed.
Appreciate it was lunchtime, however it was noisy, to many sports flatscreens running.
Food was good, not great.
When asked on the booking webpage, we did say birthday, not sure why we were asked, as no mention was made by staff.
Despite paying, we also received a parking ticket. Reception were not reassuring that this was dealt with.
It was not as good as a previous ‘tea’ we have had
Despite all, a good brunch, not great, but good.
Some good gluten free options for people with food allergies but service was very slow. It was nearly an hour from the time we placed our order for breakfast until food arrived. We received one refill on beverages during the long wait. The food was good when it did finally arrive. We couldn't let the tip reflect the slow service because an 18% automatic gratuity was added (we were a table of 8).
Although the food and service were good it was quite expensive for the type of restaurant which is just an extension to the sports bar and drinks were very expensive
