It was my birthday, the food was great all 4 of us lovedthe dinner. The service was terrible from the waiter. The other service was great always had water, clean up after the appetizers very pleasant. It took him at least 10 minutes to come and take out drink order when we first sat down, then finally dinner was serviced. He stopped by for pepper anyone. That was the last time we saw him. We all wanted dessert and after dinner drink but decided to go elsewhere.
Our food took 90 minutes to come and it was cold.
Wonderful dinner on the patio. It can get hot in the sun as the patio faces west. We asked to be moved to the shade and our server was able to set up a different table.
Thank you the overall experience was excellent. Steak and lobster was perfectly cooked. a real treat!
We were disappointed with our experience at The Loft, and here is why: 1) the menu is very limited; we were looking to share some appetizers, but there were only a couple of options, 2) happy hour only runs for 1 hour, and once again, the menu is very limited, 3) the picked asparagus that came in my Caesar was so thin, I literally thought there was a tiny plant stem in my drink (it was the size of a toothpick), and 4) the most disappointing aspect was that we were sat on the right hand side of the patio, which had what appeared to be make-shift tables and chairs with no umbrellas to provide sun coverage. The chairs were the plastic collapsible type that were so uncomfortable, we considered leaving as soon as we were seated. This was a let down, especially since there were a large number of tables available on the left hand side that were quite nice with proper chairs and umbrellas.
With all of that being said, there were some positives: the few appetizers we ordered were quite tasty (especially the Parmesan fries), and the patio is large and provides a beautiful view of the golf course. Additionally, the service was decent.
Food was amazing!! Beautiful views on the patio. Service was extremely slow. We asked for pepper and it did not come, server was not around for drink refills so we finished our meal and then had to get up and go ask for our bill
We went for the crab and artichoke dip and wine for happy hour but it was so nice we then stayed for the steak and lobster with the white wine flight and dessert. Everything was delicious and the ambiance was wonderful. Service was great even though it was busy. Couldn’t have been better
The whole experience was great !!!
Food was excellent . Service was very fast. Disappointed that you dropped the Di Bartolo Reisling from the wine list
Overall good dining experience but a little overpriced (ex. 5 shrimp cocktail for $16!!!) Menu was simple. Restaurant practiced good Covid dining guidelines so we felt safe.
The only complaint was our server didn’t bring out our bread - we had to ask for it. Our water glasses weren’t refilled probably because we had drinks however it would have been nice to sip on water when needed.
Food was hot and tasty-we had the grilled salmon and the seared ahi tuna and risotto. Desserts were average-we had the red velvet cake and chocolate mousse. Celebrated a birthday but no mention about even when noted with reservation 😕
We would probably go back in the near future.
We had steak & lobster. Excellent value. The steak (medium rare) was perfect! Friendly and good service. Amazing view.
For the price and types of menu items, I found the food to be okay, but not great. The service was quite good and though the room was a little cold, the ambience was nice (and well set up with COVID protocols).
I had the rack of lamb that was cooked to my liking but the breading was not crispy as would be expected with breading. My wife's Arctic Char was a little overcooked - a touch dry. For entrees that are $35-$40 a plate, I expect better quality. It was good, but could have been much better with a little more attention to detail.
I'd be willing to try again based on the reviews on OpenTable, and thinking that perhaps we just hit on an off night or the chef delegated to someone not quite ready to lead the kitchen.
Our dinner out was perfect. Our waiter Aiden was very helpful and knowledgeable. It had been a long time since our last dinner there and it was obvious they have improved the experience for their dinner guests. We will definitely be returning for that dining experience again.
It was our first time at the Loft! The food was incredible! Drinks were awesome too! We started with the mushroom bruschetta and had the crusted lamb and the steak & lobster. All 3 dishes were amazing
Great service! Food was hot and tasty. Menu was limited perhaps because of COvid. Prices were a bit on the high side
The food was really good... we will definitely be back! Was quiet and all covid protocols were followed!
The Loft was great time for a nice dinner on Valentines Day. The spacing was great for circumstances during the pandemic. The food was great we had the prime rib and it was done perfectly and very tender. I would recommend the Loft for great food, service at a reasonable price.
Really great food, although a little pricy. There was live piano music playing which was lovely. Service was very good but did have to wait for a long time for the bill. Other than that, overall a great experience.
Went to the loft for Valentine’s Day dinner, checked open table menu at no point was there any indication that there was a set menu. Checked website menu and was brought to a 2020 3course turkey dinner.
Ordered prim rim with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies
Prime rib was almost cold, mashed potatoes were like something from a leftover from the fridge, veggies under cooked, Yorkshire pudding was hard and dry with no gravy.
Wife ordered mushrooms Neptune for appy and steak and lobster
Mushrooms Neptune was a hot mess of just cream cheese, no flavour
Her steak was cooked to her liking, however her lobster tasted of charcoal and her butter was cold.
It was our first time and was highly dissatisfied. I will not be returning
Our table was in an area beside the fireplace which was lovely. Very cozy. The service was excellent. We all enjoyed our food except for one person ordered the halibut which was overcooked. It was replaced but it took a bit of time and there was no offer of compensation for it. Maybe they could have offered a discount or a free dessert for her.
Having said that, we would go again. Overall it was great.
Nice service and decent food. The steak was a little salty but the appetizers were all really nice and portion size was good.
A little overpriced but overall a nice meal
Both our waitress/hostesses were fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the menu and had good recommendations.
Went for date night with my husband. The food and service was great!
Great time! Great food. We will be back
Slightly disappointed with the food this time around. Dined at 5:15 and two of us ordered the Friday steak and lobster. Both ordered medium rare but steaks were medium at best.
Could have sent them back but we were hungry and didn't bother. Disappointing as we were the first diners in there and the quality of the dinner just wasn't there this time.
We can always be assured of an excellent meal at a fair price.
The buffet was delicious.
Only critique was a little too much gristle in the roast beef. Otherwise my wife and I enjoyed our meal.
I booked our party of 4 for Saturday, February 15, expecting that it would be an ordinary night, but we were pleasantly surprised that the ambiance was still set to celebrate Valentines Day. The tables were all set with red napkins on white tablecloths and a red rose was the centrepiece on the tables . We were welcomed with a special Valentines menu. They even had a piano player to add to the ambiance. Our server, Daniel, was most pleasant. We all really enjoyed our meals, which was served very promptly.
Valentine’s Day 2020. Was not greeted by host staff, I had to greet them to get their attention. Taken to our table right away, nice table by the fireplace nice place settings.
Sever took my husband & mine drink order but did not ask our daughter. Wine bottle arrived did not pour a sample tasting, she poured both glasses. 20 min later someone took our order. 30 min later the bread came. Another 30 min our mains came, the server was unsure if we ordered what she was holding. They forgot our appetizer. My salmon was dry, I asked for more sauce, my husbands steak was dry. No one asked how our food was, or how we were doing. My daughters macaroni was good she liked it. Damn, very disappointed. :(
Food was not spectacular but good, we had a little issue of a steak not cooked to what was requested, Staff quickly fixed the situation, this would be a good place for after Golf but not for a fancy night out.
Very good service and food.
New Year’s Eve dinner... food was amazing as alway. Service was a little slower than usual and waitress was only Ok, have had friendlier there. Entertainment was a guitar player singer who was fantastic, but not for this occasion. I preferred the pianist they had the last two years ... a little quieter for this particular night of the year ( early dining)
New Year’s Eve
We went for an early dinner. There was a set menu but chef was flexible with coatings etc. Food was fantastic- steak was cooked exactly as ordered and very tender. Service was quick and efficient. Overall it was a great dinner.
Our experience at The Loft was outstanding. The food was incredible and our server was great.
We were pleasantly surprised, as there aren’t many nice restaurants with food quality food in our area.
Great views of the mountains and the golf course , staple canadian food , all freshly prepared, great service
Nice dinner out. Food and service were very good. Space is a bit open as it sits over the atrium, so a bit cooler at this time of the year, but not bad. Only negative was that our reservation, confirmed through Open Table, was not registered with the Loft, so we ended up with no reservation. Fortunately, there was a table open, so things worked out. Be good if Open Table and the Loft can fix the communication issue.
Surprising good food and food are hot when serbed, will be back!
It was nice - food was really good and reasonable prices.
First, the place was freezing cold, which made it very uncomfortable. Then it took at least 15 minutes for someone to come by & offer to get us drinks. So, not off to a great start.
Both of our steaks were undercooked, though my husband was able to handle the cook on his. I could not, however. So he ate 95% of his meal while I waited for them to cook my steak a little better.
In fairness, my husband did say his lobster was properly cooked.
Then, to compensate, they took 50% off my entree, when most places would have comped the whole thing.
For a place that looks fairly upscale, the service, food & ambiance were sadly lacking.
Seated right away which was nice and as it was not crowded we were able to pick our own seat.
Specials were not explained to us until we were ready to order. Service was ok but nothing special.
It was great as alway!! Brought a new group of friends and they enjoyed themselves as well. We sat and ate and chatted for hours. Sunday brunch was good too!
