Fresh pickerel or rib eye steak as a main course and creme brulee for dessert. The Lord Nelson is proud to present the new bar lounge area where our customers can relax for a pre dinner cocktail or after dinner liqueurs. The Lady Hamilton Room is available for your private function.
I came there for a 60th birthday and the food was fabulous .Thanks Lord Nelson for my great evening. The waiter was fabulous and made the evening wonderful.😁😁
Best steak I have had in years.
It is always great! Great food, great service! The only go to in Burlington for top notch food and service!
My fiancé and I had a wonderful dinner. Absolute fabulous service from the minute we walked in. Our server (I wish I remember his name) was great. (We we’re sitting up in the round booth by the bathroom, he had a moustache) lol if that helps. Just a great experience and we will be returning for a special occasion in the future. The only minor issue was I had called about a dress code and the person on the other end of the phone had told me casual jeans and a dress shirt are fine, but we found that we were a little under dressed. But overall a 10 out of 10. Thank you for the Great Night.
Thank god we got gift certificates to come here. Service was “ok” not the best we’ve had. They sat us at a table for 5.. when there was only two of us.. and we were surrounded by two other big tables with people. Felt like everyone could hear your conversation.. food vise the Caesar salad was good.. awkward couple minutes while they make it at your table. My partner got the chicken parm that looked like a microwave meal and *no pasta*? (What’s chicken parm with pasta? Fancy restaurant or not) I got the filet mignon. Horrible choice of vegetables (in my opinion) snap peas? They were chewy and still had the ends attached, and a log of squash ? And no side included which is kind of a rip off .. so when you get a $210 bill at the end of the night for that. No we won’t be back
When you are paying $300 for a basic meal with one shared appetizer and one shared dessert, you expect a bit more ... at least I do. The two menu items I hoped for were not available, so I chose halibut ... but the piece I got was tiny, and prepared rather blandly. The waiter was polite but forgot to bring ketchup when asked, or sugar with our coffee. There was no cocktail menu provided. The olive/pickle/pate tray was okay but there was nothing to spread the pate on, and the waiter took it away before we were done. Overall the food was fine, but I won't be back. I'll be dining elsewhere where I can get more interesting food for less.
Put us at a table not in the dining room. Large noisy party right next to us. Brought the wrong meal for one of our party. Prices are very high.
Servers were very friendly. Did not return meal that was other than ordered as it takes too long to get it replaced.
Everything was great
Great staff, incredible food, perfect atmosphere!!
I came here on a date to celebrate his birthday. We had an 8pm reservation, and showed up a little early to have a drink at the bar. We were told they wouldn't be able to hold our table if we did, so we just went to our table and ordered our drinks there. The restaurant was not full at all, so that seemed strange. We started with cocktails which were good. We ordered a nice bottle of Stags Leap with our dinner. We felt very rushed. Our server kept pouring very large glasses of wine, even when we still had a significant amount in our glasses. We ordered the mussels and oysters rockefeller for our appetizers which were both delicious. For our mains, he got the Linguine Seafood pasta, and I got the 20oz rib steak. His pasta was good, but mine was overcooked, which really ruined it for me. We also got a side of mushrooms, which were good. The restaurant is open until 10pm, but at 9:15pm our server emptied our bottle of wine into our glasses and asked if we wanted the bill. We now had wine glasses that were 3/4 full, and a feeling that we were being rushed. We had planned on ordering coffees and dessert but were never offered. Servers were doing side work around us and we seemed like we were imposing. We ended up leaving without finishing our wine. It was not a great experience at all.
The best service and food from east to west, from south to north. You can not beat the food anywhere else. It's always a pleasure eating at this place. Hope to return soon.
I very much enjoyed my recent lunch at Lord Nelson. It was a wonderful treat and experience for my Sister's birthday and for my wife and I. We found the restaurant to be we laid out for a pleasant dining experience. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was absolutely perfect. I would certainly recommend Lord Nelson to anyone celebrating a special occasion, or just because they deserve to be treated right. Thank you.
My husband and I always enjoy our visit to Lord Nelson’s. Whether it’s for a meal or just sitting up at the cozy elegant bar for a cocktail and appetizer, we are never disappointed. Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that one can’t help but feel satisfied and relaxed upon leaving.
Great dinner. Caesar salad best I have ever tasted !
Wonderful staff and amazing food. Pricey, but definitely worth it.
The Service and ambiance were really great but the food was wildly disappointing especially for the price.
Restaurant was very nice, clean and well decorated. We asked for and got the only window seat in the place however there was another dining area on another level that hovered over our table. Food was very pricey (place was packed so there is an abundance of people that have too much money in the area and don't care how they spend it) and lacked any presentation, not
good value. My steak was ok, a bit on the dry side and slightly tough (The Keg serves a much better steak). The service was very good and made up some the deficiencies in the food.
Good experience from top to bottom
Favourite restaurant. We dine there 6 or more times a year. They do not provide their traditionally excellent experience on Valentine’s Day. I’ll go back but never on Valentine’s Day for the reduced menu, pre made salads and no cherries jubilee!??
Everything was great. Service was wonderful as usual. Some nice cosmetic changes since the last time we were there
Service was good but took way too long to take initial order. Not worth the price
It is expensive so I would cautiously recommend it.
This our third time to the Lord Nelson..Fantastic...the staff meet and exceed our expectations..the food..ditto..This is on the higher end of the cost scale but it is such a great place to enjoy the spectacular taste of great food and wine.
Thank you , we will return, again and again.
Once again we had a fantastic experience, our waiter was energetic and mindful of our needs, we spoke with the owner about the decor which is always a treat. But the best was the food, LN food always comes out piping hot but I have to say my Sea bass in cream sauce was probably the nicest meal I have had this year! We all said we will visit more often!
Outstanding service, amazing food. We will definitely return.
Harry providing great service throughout the evening. The table was ideal for our group.
Great servers, great ambiance and most of all delicious food!
Really good food!
Hot food was HOT and Cold food was COLD. GREAT !!!!!!
Best cappuccino, nice and hot!!!
Definately will be back
Jonto was our server and is a wonderfully experienced and professional waiter. He made a delicious Caesar salad table side and was a delight to speak with. He made the whole experience extra special.
Nick and his staff have always provided great value.
One of my very favorite restaurants!
Our entire experience was exceptional! It's no secret why they are an institution in Burlington! The food, the service was second to none! Our server, John, was friendly and knowledgeable and very competant. Monica was very attentive and so pleasant! We cannot wait to go back!
The food was very good but the price was much more than the website indicates. We did enjoy our meal but it wasn't fantastic, as it got busier, the service started to slip.
New Year’s Eve at the Lord Nelson was amazing!!! The food, staff and service were impeccable! Beautiful restaurant ambiance and the food was the best!!! Will be back!!
New Years Eve ambiance was great, food quality second to none.
Service seemed lacking at times, however the chef’s made up for the wait...
Always a pleasurable dining experience overall!
New Years Eve.
We dined on New Year's Eve. The food was very good but there were a few things that notably resulted in this rating not being as high. We were disappointed in the reduced menu for the evening as my husband had counted on having the oysters. Our meal was served and we were almost done our main when finally we were given the condiments for the baked potato and the server had not checked on us so that we could get them earlier. I was sitting in the back room but in line with the door. I was chilled throughout my meal and so my experience was not very pleasant.
Service was efficient
Appetizers came quickly and I was a bit worried I was being rushed but no pressure rest of evening
Great setting and food
First visit, not disappointed. Food and service were both excellent!!!!!!!!!
The rack of lamb and the veal Marsala were excellent. The oysters in the oysters Rockefeller were very small but the sauce was quite tasty. The garlic bread was crusty. I prefer mine softer. This is the only restaurant I've been to where you have to pay extra if you want more garlic bread.
The food and service was excellent. Wish we had of tried it years ago.
