Experience the ambiance of the Victorian Old West as we serve you an array of eclectic culinary specialties.

When preparing the Mahogany Grille menu, our award-winning staff gives special focus to farm-fresh recipes that represent new styles with old west flavors. We hand-cut our steaks in our butcher shop, carefully select our foods, and incorporate products by local growers when available creating a mosaic of tastes and textures.

We take pride in being well-versed in fine wine and spirits. Complimented with our aromatic food, our wines and spirits make quite a delicious impression.

This is one of my Durango favorites. When I am in town I try to eat there once a week. Rachel & Dalton who wait on me make this a special place for me! The food is consistently very good.

The MG never disappoints!! Been eating there for over 40 years, and I highly recommend the prime rib!

Nice meal when we decided to splurge a little. Service was very attentive and friendly. Our visit in late August so not busy at all.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal. Douglas was our server and was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the ambiance of the historic hotel in the restaurant.

Our personal experience here wasn’t good. I ordered the surf & Turf & the steak was full of gristle and not chewable. The scallops were on the rare side. The waitress was unengaged and not interested in remedying the situation. For the price we paid for this meal, the whole experience was rather disappointing. I understand that everybody can have an off night. It’s just very disappointing when it happens to you.

This was a great place to eat a delicious dinner in a lovely setting. It’s in The Strater Hotel and after dinner we were able to walk next door to The Office and listen to live music. Our server was great and we had a booth which gave a lot of privacy as well as softening the noise level (which wasn’t bad anyway!)

The Mahogany is in the historic Starter Hotel & is a beautiful restaurant. My server Dalton was excellent. He is very friendly, excellent server, & accommodating to meet your request. My dinner was delicious. Congratulations to the new Chef!

Ambiance was great, however the Steak Herbert was a tough cut and overcooked. The Greek vinaigrette dressing on the salad was like a spicy BBQ balsamic dressing.
