I love The Melting Pot, it just wasn't clear on the open table site that Sunday would still be the Valentine's Day menu option only so when we found out that was our only option, it was a bit surprising because it didn't say that on the credit card policy section of the app. Just make sure that the open table app reflects the danger information that's on your website.

This is not the Melting Pot that I visited a couple of years ago. It was dirty, the floor was greasy, the service was slow and felt ill all night. Staff was eating strawberries with fingers out of the bowl that appeared to the the bowl that they were plating from at a table near the restrooms. It was 2 days past Valentine's Day and we were told we had to pick from the Valentine menu and could not order off the regular menu. This cost an additional $20-$30 per person and the "additional" course was a plate of fruit, which we got all over again at dessert. Did not even hand out roses lol. Overall, super disappointed. Is this location under new management? Will never go back to this location. It was really disappointing because we were all looking forward to the night.

This was my first time and the food was amazing. The cheese fondue, the lobster, and the shrimp were my favorite.

This was my first time in Duluth and I will certainly be going back. Mike was my server and he was exquisite. He gave me fantastic recommendations for every course of the meal, checked in often and even preempted my needs while I dined. This was my first time eating out since discovering a food allergy and he made to communicate with the kitchen so that I stayed safe. Thank you for being a key part of my experience in Duluth. I look forward to my next visit

The reason why I graded most of the areas fair is because of slow service and not being ready for our reservation. There is nothing more frustrating than taking the time to make a reservation only to show up and still wait an hour and 10 minutes for a table. The restaurant already had my credit card, so it's not like they would lose money if we didn't show up. Also, even once sat it took over 10 minutes for a server to greet us and another 30 for the first course. The restaurant clearly could not handle the level of business. I would go back to this location on a normal day, but never for a special dinner because of this.

My wife and I went there for Valentines lunch. There was a limited menu but it was a 5 course meal and was VERY good. They are not normally open for lunch and we had reservations at 12:00 when they first opened. It was clear that hey normally are not open for lunch because the bar area at the entrance still had dirty glasses on the bar and there was some trash on the floor at the entrance so it was not as clean as i would have expected. The food and service was very good though.

From the front door to the dining room and back to the exit, we were treated like Kings and Queens.
Jasmine was our server and did an outstanding job. I would recommend for any special event.

I would recommend this place for a couple but the fondue pot is too small for use by four people. The price is high and the surrounding is not adequate.

We attended on New Years Eve. We had a 7:30PM reservation but were not seated until 8:45PM. When we arrived, the lobby was crowded and we were told by the manager there would only be a 20 minute wait which was not true. There is a bar in the waiting area but the bartender was busy seating, bussing tables, and doing other errands because they were obviously short staffed. It took 20 minutes after being seated to revive any food.

Once seated, we noticed several tables that were empty and dirty but were not cleaned for over an hour due to the short staffed situation.

We ordered a wine flight that was to accompany each course but did not get the first serving until the third course.

They had to modify their menu because they ran out of cheddar cheese and lobster tails.

While our server was nice and the food was good, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.

Part of our family arrived after Christmas and we chose the Melting Pot for a group dinner. The staff was terrific and the food and service made it a great night. Even with wildly different tastes, each of us had a

A great place for special occasions. It never disappoints. Food was great. Service was excellent. If I had to have any complaint, the booths are a little old and we were sitting lower than normal at the table. Other than than, a perfect experience.

tasty food. great dining experience, takes about three hours. have been going to melting pots throughout the east coast for a few years and this visit was enjoyable as usual. of course with melting pot you just need to be aware of the price you’ll be paying, more of a special occasion place for me due to that reason

We enjoy coming to the melting pot each time! Our waiter was not very attentive as we had a new person who this was her first time. He didn't go through what he was doing when making the cheese fondue. Only helpful time was when we couldn't order one thing and he suggested something else. Was disappointed in how the service was. Even though I have been lots, I still except them to go through steps. Especially when I am asking for white wine instead of beer for the cheese base.

But this won't stop me from coming back. Thank you Melting Pot!

My wife and I decided to go to the Melting Pot for my birthday dinner. We know the place and like the ambience. Our server was Alexander and he did a great job. We had the classic alpine cheese fondue for three because we like it so much. Then we continued with our meat and seafood fondue. We skipped the chocolate fondue as we already had had to much food. It was a fun filled evening with good food and good wine.

Our birthday celebration at the Melting Pot was a hit with the family. While the experience is special in and of itself, it would fall short without an amazing server to maximize the meal. Christiana was amazing!

I definitely got full quickly but the place is a little dated looking and should be renovated. Food was seasoned well and manager even came to speak just to make sure we were enjoying everything so I liked he was hands on and nice. Good service though!

So sad to say that this was the worst experience we ever had at The Duluth Melting Pot. We come several times a year, and yesterday we were celebrating my birthday. We made reservations for 5 and were seated promptly. Our waitress seemed young and very unexperimented. She wasn't able to answer basic questions such as what was best for the 5 of us to do a "a la carte" or "menu" when some of us wanted 3 courses and some just 2. We ordered 2 Alpine fondue for 5 and she only filled 1 pot. She had a hard time fixing the cheese. Sprayed nutmeg all over the table. My favorite with the cheese is cauliflower and she said they were not serving cauliflower anymore and that was a big disappointment. Entrees were fine but she never came to check on us, not even once to see if we needed drinks refills. We had to go to bar ourselves to order extra drinks. We ordered white chocolate for the 2 kids, she filled 2 full pots with a very liquid white chocolate. In the past, we always had a great experience, great service. I hope that she gets more training and doesn't get first timers at the Melting Pot because she will turn customers away. The positive was that she was very polite and smiled a lot. Food was great as always.
