the resteraunt was slow when we arrived but picked up quickly. The atmosphere was great, lively crowd. The food was very good. A couple of the plates were small for the price, but the food was excellent. The drink was good and being a tequila lover there was lots of choice. Overall it was a great night

Service was confuse, took a while to come to our table. I was disappointed with food, nothing special and very vey small portions. I would not recommend it or return there because the I think my money can do better in other restaurants. People were friendly, I do not mind paying but as I said food was not even tasty. I ordered carne and chicken tacos, this was 3 tiny tortillas (the grocery store one) with a hint (very little) of beef and some weird flavour chopped chicken. Zero proof drink was fine though. Menu is very limited as well.

The most delicious food-- a busy place, it would have been even better to be at a table instead of the bar. Everything was great flavour, unique. Sharing is a must. Enjoy.

I had a great evening at the Merchant Kitchen. The food was, as always, incredible. The drinks really elevated the experience for me. Sitting at the bar, I got to watch the passionate bartenders make drinks they were proud to serve all night long. All of the staff were kind and friendly, and they made me feel extremely welcome.

Went here for dinner before the Jets game. The food was just ok. Small portions and pricey for what it is. The cocktail drinks were great and the ambience was fun and lively but the value isn’t there at all. Paid over $175 for appies with 3 margs and 1 beer. Went to the game to eat more food as we were still hungry and the portions are so small. Won’t be back

I had the super fruit salad, it was great. The day I was there I had a late lunch with a friend, the place was quiet, very few diners and so our meals arrived very quickly. It is a good spot for a healthy good quality lunch downtown.

The flavours in the dishes I had were unbelievably good. The Peruvian hot wings are mind blowing (and not overly spicey). The Thai fried rice was excellent, huge portion. I'll be back for sure.

I have been a longtime fan of all of Bobby’s restaurants. Especially Merchant kitchen. I haven’t been to winnipeg in awhile and so I was excited to eat again at Merchant. Unfortunately I felt let down. The food was just ok when usually it is excellent. Corn tasted like it was from a can. No Dan Dan noodles that day. We took friends there and raved about the restaurant and I was very disappointed at the food. I hope it was just an “off night”

the food was great as always. Disappointed in no DanDan noodles being available, but understand due to the noodle shortage. Our issue is that we were sat in the Party room that was being loudly set up and rearranged repeatedly. Tough to enjoy your meal with scraping chairs and tables, followed by private party participants looking at us like we did not belong. Would not sit there again.

We started off feeling like we couldn’t sit outside not the restaurants fault but the location is brutal for drugs and usage outside the patio. I dont want to see heroin usage while eating. Inside very nice, good service, Dan Dan noodles were awesome but chicken was not worth the hype or money TBH. It was good but is about $10 over priced in 5 people’s opinion. I would still go back and try other things maybe sit away from the window

The menu had many unique options that were great for sharing! Highly recommended the Korean fried chicken. Our server, Henry, was excellent in helping us plan out our choices and provided us with great service. We’ll be back!
