Chefs prepare specialties like coconut shrimp, 36 oz sizzling prime porterhouse, lobster quesadillas and fresh Bluepoint oysters and little clams which are delivered daily. Two dining rooms are decorated in traditional nautical style. From start to finish our experience was outstanding! Our cocktails were perfect, our baked clams were full of clams and cooked perfectly. Our main course of lamb chops and pork chops were presented beautifully and tasted fantastic, we will definitely return!

Food and service were both very good. We had the shrimp & avocado salad, onion soup and short ribs. We also had the striped bass special, which was also excellent. All apps and entrees were excellent. I would definitely recommend and return to Oar.

Took my wife out for a Christmas Eve meal and we were treated like royalty. Our server was amazing and recommended a few dishes that were out of this world. The food was amazing in both taste and portion size and the coconut martinis were top botch. Great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Had to take a very early reservation as nothing else was available. However, restaurant was and remained relatively empty throughout the 2 hours we were there, with at least 10 or more open tables in just the area we were seated. Not sure why we had to take such an early time. Food and service was very good. Noise level was almost unbearable between being seated near bar and the live music. Couldn’t hear anything said from dining companion, which kind of squashed the whole point of the going out together thing.

We went for LI restaurant week because that menu is always outstanding. I prefer their lunch menu over their dinner menu because of the many available sandwich options including the lobster roll. Everything was very good.

I spent just as much money as I would have at Prime in Huntington and the food was not even close. My wife and I also ended up with some stomach issues a few hours later. Place is nice looking, service was fine, nothing exceptional.

The weather was beautiful therefore great outside dining with an amazing view! Food was delicious, drinks were not watered down, prices were very reasonable. Our waitress Kim was very attentive and friendly! Excellent place to dine for sure!

We got lobster roll sliders to start (so fresh and tasty). I got the fish and chips which were perfectly cooked. I would have loved some greens with it. My husband got the fra diavolo (I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong) and that was spectacular. Perfectly cooked seafood in delicious sauce. The view was lovely and the tables were spaces nicely. I would definitely dine here again.
