The Pottery Restaurant
Food took over an hour to come and wasn’t very good.
We waited for 10 min or more to be asked for our order. My appetizer came my husband soup did not show up at all after my appetizer we had to wait for an hour to get our food , the kids were so hungry. The food was ok nothing special. Our waitress was amazing she was running around to make sure all is ok and super polite super funny and helpful.
Flavour wise, excellent... food was delayed due to feature being too popular so a new batch was in the works. They made it right by offering a free appy while we waited. Appy was awesome... except for Caesar salad which was fresh and crisp, but lacking in dressing. When main finally arrived (filet mignon, feature and seafood pasta), my daughters pasta was hot but our dinners were just warm at best (I thought it was fresh feature we were waiting on?). But, the flavours were awesome on all our dishes - too bad about the temp. They quickly heated my steak up, bringing it up to a medium but the flavour made up for that. At the end and to our surprise, they comped all our food. We just had to pay for our booze - we took a taxi so booze was racking up... anyway, things happen in the restaurant business and The Pottery did everything to try and make it right on a busy Saturday Family Day weekend. Our server did her job well but didn't personalize our experience - she was likely pretty busy. It sounds like we complained all the way through our evening but no, even the wait it was the Pottery that was proactive - we were too busy gabbing to even notice. We just mentioned the temp on our meals and asked for a quick heat up. We will be back (as we have been for 18yrs now at Valentine's day weekend)!
As a frequent Guest to The Pottery this visit with a friend for her Birthday was very disappointing. Despite telling them when I made the reservation that it was a Birthday there was nothing on the table to celebrate a birthday as there has been in the past.
We then had a very long, long wait for any food to be brought to the table and our main meal was only just warm when it arrived. We did not complain to our server Michelle because as always her service was excellent and she was doing her utmost to keep all the other tables and guests happy and satisfied throughout the evening. We heard the table next to us complaining. Michelle did an amazing job considering the number of guests she was having to look after.
We also didn't want to have to wait again for our food to be heated up as it was getting late. If this was my first visit I would likely not be returning.
Service was slower than usual.
Dined here with our three kids during our stay at the resort. Food was amazing!
This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant. Poor service, Mediocre food, specials not available, dark, no table clothes.... Avoid.
The clients were thoroughly impressed by the quality, taste and impression of the meal, and Tara's service was impeccable as always!
Had an amazing dinner here on our anniversary and it could not have been better service or food... thanks dawn and carl
Went with two other couples. Service was great. Staff was friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were able to talk comfortably (restaurant wasn’t loud and we didn’t feel we had to be totally quiet).
Food was good but the eggs benny could have been hotter.
Very quiet and the tables have lots of space to accommodate children walking to and from the table.
Food is excellent and there is a substantial kids menu
New Year's Day Breakfast buffet....good value but they obviously weren't ready for the # of guests they had.
Not a large selection on the menu to choose from. I had the mushroom polenta and it was extremely salty... to the point of being inedible. There were 5 others in our party ordering various items off the menu. Opinions on individual meals of other 5 ranged from poor to mediocre. Hostess was friendly and accommodating, however, our server was anything but........She was rarely seen and appeared less than enthusiastic to be our server when she did appear at our table.
We had a reservation for 7 and showed up at 7 to hear they needed 10 minutes. After 25 minutes we were finally seated. We did not get a visit from the manager to apologize. The appetizers were delivered after we suggested we receive some complimentary apps. The dinner was delicious for 3 of us but coincidentally one order was extremely salty, and the same risotto as I had which was fine. They did replace that after a few minutes but still no visit from the manager. The server did do a good job. The atmosphere was overall quite cosy and pleasant.
Worst meal I've ever had. Steak way overcooked, halibut salted heavily with TABLE SALT, wine was old and gone bad, service was poor and manager barely compensated us for a horrible experience. Also we came at 530pm and we had our 9 month old son with us and they stuck us in a back corner in a separate part of the restaurant so, and I quote "we would be out of the way". We visited BMR from Toronto and we will never ever come back to that restaurant and also make sure all of our friends never make the mistake of going there either.
We had a family dinner on December 29th, and loved the great service and amazing food at Pottery Restaurant. Would love to visit again!
Christmas dinner was very tasty and great service. The only con for us and what appeared to be many tables around us was the chilly temperature of the room. We were seated in the lower level which we found out was near an exit. We had our coats on most of the evening unfortunately. Next time I would try to reserve a table in the upper level.
Great food, friendly service, nice atmosphere however very, very slow service. 20mins for our dishes to be cleared away and following that wait We waited over a half hour for 3 sherbets and a Crème brûlée to be served to us.
We were disappointed in the quality of the food. My wife's steak was over done, sent back, and returned but not much better. Wine was good though. It may have been an off night however the server led us to believe that there were enough chefs available to make the experience great.
Our server Michele was energetic and fun and made it a great anniversary dinner for hubby and I. Would recommend her and the pottery to anyone!
Brought a friend here for birthday dinnner and they dressed up table and put us right beside the fire. Food was fantastic and so was the sercice..5 star all the way
Tara's level of detail and customer service was outstanding, I know I'll have an amazing experience every time she is working!! The client was very impressed, as were the new staff members joining us.
We had a wonderful experience and for sure will go back. Our waiter -Steve was awesome and the appetizers and dinner yummy. Would definitely recommend this restaurant
The Pottery Restaurant offers an incredible menu with delicious tasting food and excellent service.
Service by Dawn was outstanding, the client commented on how fantastic the food was and she is a "foodie" so that is high praise!
The special with shrimp and prime rib was fantastic.
Google review comment made it seem this was a breakfast buffet. Our breakfast was served cold and there was a hair inside our pancake. Our waitress was great.
Always enjoy eating at The Pottery, have yet to have a bad experience. I would highly recommend.
Service was OUTSTANDING today with a little lady joining our site tour last minute, hats off and a big thanks to both Tara and Steve!!
Staff was very friendly and talkative. Food was very good and probably the best cheesecake I have ever had.
Very cozy ambience. The food is definitely worth the value and the service is amazing!!
The experience was awesome. The cheesecake wrapped in filo dough was absolutely outstanding - hightly recommend it.
We don’t eat bacon and they kept doing the order with bacon . The food came an hour late . It’s was not a good experience at all ( the food was good though but my experience was not great ) I think will go back and give them another chance ( the staff was really nice and apologized for the kitchen mistakes) we did not pay for the brunch they got it taken care of .
Dinner at the Pottery restaurant was under par. Very limited dinner menu. Portions were a good size but there was not a lot of flavour to the meals. The Caesar Salad was drenched in dressing that was quite tasteless. My husband ordered the Prime Rib dinner which was a good size but the meat was tough and lacked flavor. Nice restaurant in terms of décor and staff was friendly but we wouldn't return.
I brought clients for a resort site tour, and they loved being able to sample the food and raved about the fantastic service!
Because it was buffet style, some of the items were lukewarm or even cold. The flavors were great. Would return.
Server Dawn was wonderful. Brought us a surprise anniversary dessert.
I really liked the restaurant. Food was great and the service was good. The portion was huge. But the dessert selection was something that was behind the other courses of the meal.
Mains were too large and not very warm.
Server was awesome and engaging.
