The Pottery Restaurant
The scallop appetizer and duck entre were excellent however the seafood pasta was not. Great service and ambience!
I ordered the seafood plate but asked for extra prawns and No Mussels. Plate had No mussels but same number of shrimp as another person at our table who had the regular plate. Only three scallops and too much pasta
Great food but service was too slow
good food from local products. We had the duck breast and chicken piccata. Service was good though there were only 8 clients at the time we were there. Dessert was good and various with availability of small portions to order different ones. The place was relatively clean but the ceiling beams could use a good dusting and the paint could be updated. Would definitely recommend the place.
Beautiful restaurant. Efficient and kind service. Delicious food. Great price!
The food was great, the staff friendly, and the overall experience was excellent.
First time back at the Pottery since the new decor. Very modern tho’ miss the coziness of the original. Service was outstanding. Staff are excellent. Had the buffet which was okay. Too much cheese in the scrambled eggs. Sausages not tasty. Potatoes seemed too greasy. Ran out of fruit quickly. Good selection of muffins and pastry and granola. Coffee was awful, tasted very old.
Still very much enjoyed the ambiance, will definitely come back.
This was a a nice, quiet restaurant at 5;30. The 3 courses for $30 was a good deal. The trio of beet salad was nicely presented, chicken piccata good and a small chocolate mousse. Our server was very pleasant.
Food was fantastic, staff was great, just extremely quiet as we were dining in the off season and the restaurant was empty with the exception of our table.
We visited this as part of a Spring getaway package with Scandinavian Spa and recieved a $50 credit. We had the seafood pappardelle and the coq au vin, both super delicious!
Only comment would be that the noise level was high.
The place was empty. It was definitely a restaurant for the older crowd. They have a limited menu, and although they have a full bar, they have limited wines by the glass.
They had got none of the steak in, but the food we had instead was delicious. Service was friendly, but if we hadn't got a gift card we certainly would have eaten elsewhere
My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch... the food was amazing! Excellent service and loved our table by the fireplace!
A group of six of us visited the Pottery Restaurant on April 13, and found everything to be above standard. Our server was delightful and had a great sense of humour which we all appreciated. Except for one we all had the Prime Rib and it was very generous portions with delicious mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
We all agreed that we would be back soon.
A little noisy because there was a large party of sixty in. But we were seated in another dining area by ourselves. It was very cold. There was a draft during our stay. The cheesecake was out of this world, very decadent.
Fantastic as always, butternut squash soup was a big hit!
Husband and I went while staying at Blue Mountain Village. Was very impressed with the food. One of the nicest meals we have had for a long time at a restaurant. We had AAA sirloin. The service was very good too with Michelle. She was very friendly and helpful. A shuttle is available from the village to the restaurant which we will certainly take advantage of the next time. Overall we had a really nice evening.
Good food and good service. A little quieter than in the village.
This original blue mountain restaurant is a best kept secret. Fresh food, fast service and festive right at the base of blue.
The risotto was amazing, overall 10/10 dining experience.
The restaurant was phenomenal! Food was amazing and at such great prices. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. I would go back for sure (even if I wasn’t staying at the hotel)!
The food and price were amazing. Great food for a great price. The food was fresh and hot. Excellent choices. Our server was super friendly and funny. We sat buy the fireplace. It was beautiful. Will go back for sure
Our group of six consisted of 4 adults and two kids aged 11 & 13. Having a Children's Menu to supplement the Main Menu was appreciated.
The staff were so friendly, caring and ensured our meal was the way we wanted it. The staff were also so funny! I loved the food, the restaurant and everything overall!
I can’t wait to come back again!!
Tara was amazing as usual!! We were able to accommodate both tastes - one had the gourmet grilled cheese and soup special that they loved and the other had a dairy allergy and we customized the quinoa salad which she raved about! One of the best client meals I've ever had, thanks for knocking it out of the park!
Great service by our waitress of 20 years! Great food. Large portions. Nice clean and relaxing.
French onion soup was excellent. Cheese perfectly melted. Not salty. Could be a little warmer, but good start to the meal. Had the Parmesan crusted chicken. Delicious, but bordering on dry. But not so that it is not good. It tasted great actually. Truffle oil was great on the vegetables. ‘buttery’. Had the creme brûlée for dessert, which is where the chef lost me. Texture was more like panda cotta. The ‘white chocolate ice cream’ was icy, not creamy. I love figs, but the candies figs were too sweet to pair with the creme brûlée. Had a blueberry tea. Now that was fantastic.
Service was excellent. Server knew when to ask me how I was doing without being intrusive.
Overall, great dinner with the exception of dessert, but the tea more than made up for it.
Food took over an hour to come and wasn’t very good.
We waited for 10 min or more to be asked for our order. My appetizer came my husband soup did not show up at all after my appetizer we had to wait for an hour to get our food , the kids were so hungry. The food was ok nothing special. Our waitress was amazing she was running around to make sure all is ok and super polite super funny and helpful.
Flavour wise, excellent... food was delayed due to feature being too popular so a new batch was in the works. They made it right by offering a free appy while we waited. Appy was awesome... except for Caesar salad which was fresh and crisp, but lacking in dressing. When main finally arrived (filet mignon, feature and seafood pasta), my daughters pasta was hot but our dinners were just warm at best (I thought it was fresh feature we were waiting on?). But, the flavours were awesome on all our dishes - too bad about the temp. They quickly heated my steak up, bringing it up to a medium but the flavour made up for that. At the end and to our surprise, they comped all our food. We just had to pay for our booze - we took a taxi so booze was racking up... anyway, things happen in the restaurant business and The Pottery did everything to try and make it right on a busy Saturday Family Day weekend. Our server did her job well but didn't personalize our experience - she was likely pretty busy. It sounds like we complained all the way through our evening but no, even the wait it was the Pottery that was proactive - we were too busy gabbing to even notice. We just mentioned the temp on our meals and asked for a quick heat up. We will be back (as we have been for 18yrs now at Valentine's day weekend)!
As a frequent Guest to The Pottery this visit with a friend for her Birthday was very disappointing. Despite telling them when I made the reservation that it was a Birthday there was nothing on the table to celebrate a birthday as there has been in the past.
We then had a very long, long wait for any food to be brought to the table and our main meal was only just warm when it arrived. We did not complain to our server Michelle because as always her service was excellent and she was doing her utmost to keep all the other tables and guests happy and satisfied throughout the evening. We heard the table next to us complaining. Michelle did an amazing job considering the number of guests she was having to look after.
We also didn't want to have to wait again for our food to be heated up as it was getting late. If this was my first visit I would likely not be returning.
Service was slower than usual.
Dined here with our three kids during our stay at the resort. Food was amazing!
This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant. Poor service, Mediocre food, specials not available, dark, no table clothes.... Avoid.
The clients were thoroughly impressed by the quality, taste and impression of the meal, and Tara's service was impeccable as always!
Had an amazing dinner here on our anniversary and it could not have been better service or food... thanks dawn and carl
Went with two other couples. Service was great. Staff was friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were able to talk comfortably (restaurant wasn’t loud and we didn’t feel we had to be totally quiet).
Food was good but the eggs benny could have been hotter.
Very quiet and the tables have lots of space to accommodate children walking to and from the table.
Food is excellent and there is a substantial kids menu
