Terrific meal, a wonderful throwback to the days of elegant dining.
Our daughter was home for the weekend so we treated her to a birthday dinner at Prime Rib. If you've never been, the place is not much to look at from the outside, but is elegant and glitzy inside. The staff are all dressed in tuxes, so put on nicer clothes to make an upscale event out of it. On a Sunday night, the dining room was a little "senior-y." Not sure how it is Friday/Sat. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The place has a good bourbon selection. Had salads and crab cake for starters which were top notch. The Prime Rib Steak is a menu favorite. But at $69 and 28 oz, it is neither cheap nor small. The four of us split two Prime Rib Steaks and some green beans, corn, and potatoes as sides. They were amazing and there was not only enough steak, but we had ample leftovers for sandwiches and a steak caesar at home the next day. Try it.
Prime rib was very tough. I was shocked. Waiter never asked how my food was. Maybe they don’t want the answer. Very disappointed.
Always a winner, always reliable. Our excellent waiter Bob took care of us, and we had a lovely meal. Can't beat the half-price wines on Sundays!
For the first time there it was more than expected it was above and beyond...my wife and I had a AWSOME time and hat's off to Mr. Bob our metradee he was in simplest terms charming and the best.....and the food was exquisite and by far the best....we will be returning....
The food was excellent, although pricy. The service was Outstanding...the best I have ever experienced. The overall experience was well worth the cost and the drive on a snowy evening. I would highly recommend the Prime Rib Steak.
Wonderful dinner to celebrate my daughter and son--law's birthdays. It was snowing outside but it was so nice and cozy in the restaurant. We loved the service and the food was outstanding. Nothing to complain about except we had to take an early reservation because it was so busy. It worked out well because of the weather. Loved it.
The service was absolutely horrible. The steak and prime rib were good, but the sides, cocktails, and apple pie desert was soooooo bad!!!
Very nice evening! It was our Anniversary. We were complimented with a great piece of Chocolate mousse pie, which was delicious!! Our server Matt was very pleasant and attentive..
This restaurant always delights!
We have dined at the Prime Rib many times and always enjoy the ambience, Food, Service!
We especially love the servers!
Simply sublime. The PR continues to deliver one of the most unique and compelling dining experiences in the region. Some no doubt would say it is old school, and I would not argue the point, but I would add that the Prime Rib practices an art that is largely lost in time and missing in modern culinary efforts. The components of the experience — from the live piano with classic scores, to the cozy bar scene, to the devine food (and yes, the seafood offerings are as good as the incomparable steaks)(and do start with the Greenberg potatoes), to the impeccably professional staff (shout out to Aaron, who will regale you with the latest health and stock tips), to the classic and romantic ambiance, and even the easy parking below in the building — combine to make an evening at the PR most enjoyable. It never disappoints.
Overall experience was very good......somewhat expensive. Restaurant was notified in advance that it was our 44th anniversary, but not acknowledged -----free glass of wine or dessert would have been nice.
Never a bad choice and the #1 restaurant on my top 5-star fine dining places to eat.
One of our favorite places in Baltimore. Wonderful mix of fellow diners and fantastic food. Always a special place to go. There's really nowhere like it.
The prime rib in Baltimore is the best of the best. Very nice restaurant and worth every penny.
awesome,, I have been going here for 30 years, a friends friend was the GM and we went here often. Over the years I have came back several times. I have been to many many places,,, nothing has compared.
My wife and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner! She had the prime rib and I had the New York strip au poivre. Both medium rate done perfectly . Hers came with the best horse radish sauce. Mine had additional pepper sauce. The broccoli rabe was excellent. The bread was especially good. The creme brûlée fantastic. The service. Impeccable!
Very nice evening, excellent food and service. We went for 21st Anniversary and Valentines Day
This was our second visit and this service/food was just as good as the first time.
Wonderful restaurant to spend an evening out. Food was good, service impeccable, comfortable atmosphere. I will be back.
The Prime Rib is hands down the best restaurant in Baltimore. The service is spectacular, and every food and beverage detail exceeds expectations. I'm happy to have a restaurant of this caliber in my city. Ps. wish they would go back to dress code, it was definitely a more "special Occasion" feel when everybody was in a suit and tie.
This has been our go to place for special occasions for years. Always dependable food, drinks/wine (house Cabernet is quite nice), service, and ambience.
Joined friends for a special night out together. Just love that The Prime Rib has remained such a classy place that truly lives up to its excellent reputation. Always a wonderful time there. Thank you!
Professional service & good food. It's a bit pricey and the tables are way too tight. You almost feel like you're sitting with the people next to you.
My only complaint is I asked for my Prime Rib Medium Rare. It came out between Medium & Medium Well. I didn't send it back because we were with another couple and I don't like to hold up a group. It was good but cooked more than I like and for the price charged, it should have been correct.
Great as usual!
Prime rib was tough and chewy. The side dishes were uninspireing. Desert ice cream has ice crystals.
The Prime Rib has never disappointed.
Some people frequent often and for those looking for that special occasion, it's a great choice.
There are several "steak houses" in Baltimore. But...
The Prime Rib is a great restaurant, that serves outstanding beef.
I was unfortunately disappointed with my latest experience at the Prime Rib. I have been to this restaurant many times before and have always had a good meal and for the most part good service. This time however, I was disappointed. I ordered the swordfish special after being told that the swordfish was at least a 2 inch thick cut. I was shocked when I received a small portion that at best was 1/2 inch thick. The other person in my party ordered the lamb chops. Although they provided her with at least 8 of them; each of them was no more than a nickel in size and they were all overdone. I also did not receive the caesar salad that I ordered. Fortunately they also forgot to charge me for it. For a Saturday night the crowd which is normally active and vibrant was missing from the restaurant and it was disappointing that on such a cold night that I had to walk outside 3 times to get my car from the valet.
Perfection, as always!
