We made reservations for dinner with some friends after Preakness. We ended up 30 min late for the reservation because we were unable to get an uber amidst the madness that ensues post races at Pimlico. We called the restaurant and were assured they would hold our table for us, which they did. The food, the service, the ambiance, all impeccable. I wish we had more of an appetite as the portions were quite generous and we ended up only eating about half of our meal. Will definitely go back if we return to Baltimore (or any of their other locations).
Everything was absolutely fantastic. Good, drinks and service were all excellent.
Great all around
Baltimore is famous for the Preakness, the Washington Monument, and of course, THE PRIME RIB! It is at the top of most Baltimoreans' list when they want to dine at Baltimore's Best! THE PRIME RIB never disappoints. It remains my favorite.
Just amazing from start to finish... Go hungry, leave happy.... Beautiful atmosphere.... Classy folks.... From bread, to prime rib, to amazing cheesecake...thank you for making my Boss retirement dinner perfect
We always enjoy PR. The best steakhouse in town or the state. Our server, Bobby was attentive and always professional. Overall an outstanding experience.
never had a bad meal at the Prime Rib - everything is always top quality, including the service. Get the Greenberg Potato Skins to start!
The Prime Rib never disappoints! It is a classy restaurant with attention to every detail including great cocktails & piano. While beef options are terrific, so are their seafood options!
One of my favorite restaurants. However, they slipped a bit and forgot to bring my wife's desert out and that was ill timed given it was Mother's Day!
"I enjoyed the class vibe – very upscale and worth it for a Mother's Day visit from my mom who lives near DC. The prime Rrib, surf and turf special, and cheesecake were all great. Service was well-timed and friendly, cocktail was nice."
The best restaurant in Baltimore. I've been dining at The Prime Rib ever since it opened(1965). I've NEVER had a sub-par meal here...and I can't say that about any other eatery where I've been a patron. It's a little pricey, but worth the cost in every way!! I generally dine here for special occasions. The entire staff exemplifies what restaurant personnel should exude. Hoping they stay around for another 50 years!
Spectacular as usual!
We always come here for about 40 years on very special occasions. We love the intimate atmosphere and wonderful food. Hope it never changes.
Nathan was amazing, always there but not noticeable. Very friendly, never needed to ask for anything. He would make suggestions and anticipate needs.
Everything was first class, as usual.
The appetizers ribs and crab cake ,deserts strawberry cheesecake and creme brûlée were wonderful
The main entree which was the 15oz steak was extremely disappointing. It looked like a slab of meat that was boiled in salt water. The plate was hot, the steak was warm. It did not taste good by any standard.
The sides of baked potatoes was cold. Butter didn’t even melt on it.
The onion rings were ok.
Just exceptional as it has been for as long as we have been going there. No better place to have a special dinner, always of the highest quality.
The prime rib was the best as usual. This restaurant we always go to for my birthday. It is truly elegant. The Greenberg skins are a must!
Wow. If you are interested in a classic setting with top of the line food and wine/liquor. This is old school dining at its best. Men in jackets ladies dressed up staff in tuxeedos! Great bar staff. The service at the table was even better than the incredible food. Gotta go at least once!
We went for the half-price prime rib special and were disappointed that, in our opinion, the quality was not as good as the prime rib that we usually order. Also, the service was as slow as we have ever experienced.
I love The Prime Rib. The food and service are always fabulous. However on this visit, I was on crutches. Unfortunately I found out how impossible it is to try to move around in this restaurant if you are handicapped. Our table was perfect for our Anniversary dinner had I not been on crutches! It was located in the rear corner of the restaurant. However it was almost impossible to negotiate the narrow path between tables, chairs, and servers. A table in the front would have been more accommodating and the maitre'd should have made that decision instead of watching me try to turn and balance my way to the back. The challenge to get out was even more exciting as the tables were now full and the staff was everywhere. This is certainly not the place to go if you rely on something other then your legs to move about.
Aside from that, our dinner was perfect. The Oysters were fresh and tender, our salads were crisp and cold, and the Prime Rib was worthy of the name. Perfectly cooked and tender. Our anniversary dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. We will of course be back, but not until I can walk on my own.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the complimentary Valet parking. Our attendant that evening was fabulous. He saw us leaving the restaurant and had our car ready when we got to his podium!! Outstanding service. I wish I new his name.
I was so disappointed tonight. This was not a typical dinner at the Prim Rib. The beef was tough and the service not so good. Maybe weekends are too busy. Won’t be spending special dinners here again ....very expensive and not worth the money!
Fantastic place for a special occasion! Staff is attentive and very nice to everyone. Great place and I highly recommend it.
Still going strong. Outstanding food and service. Great selection of wines.
The service was very attentive, but not overly so. We were celebrating everyone's birthdays and received a complementary dessert to share.. We all had the small Prime Rib, and it was a special price that evening. What a lovely experience. We will definitely be back to celebrate next year.
Great food and service. Highly recommend. A little hard to find.
As always, the Prime Rib of Baltimore never disappoints. The Prime Rib offers incredible cuisine, served with professional care and expertise. A great spot for a special occasion or just a delicious meal. An exceptional evening indeed.
Delightful dinner for two couples who were returning to celebrate birthdays. Signature prime rib was perfectly cooked with potato skin appetizer, sides of salad, grilled asparagus, spinach and baked potato and another entree of crab cake. Excellent wine 50% off. Shared special occasion desert. Service fantastic and low keyed. Great experience!
one of the best steak places around but the crab cocktail is not to be missed. Friendly staff and great service. Go back in a minute.
Always a great choice for dinner and great service.
The prime rib meal is to die for. Loved the ambiance
The Prime Rib is quintessential old-school dining. The place has not changed in several decades and that’s a good thing. The food is always delicious, the cocktails always well-prepared and the wait staff always friendly and attentive.
What a great evening at the Prime Rib to celebrate a birthday. EVERYTHING was just spectacular, including our waiter, Edward, the food, wine and drinks, table seating, ambiance ; it was such a pleasant evening!
I Oman in returning sooner rather than later.
My thanks to the staff at the Prime Rib!
Took my wife here for her birthday. WAS PERFECT. manager was great, mark our bar tender perfect. The PERFECT spot for dining and special occasions. A Baltimore wonderland restaurant.
This was a double celebration—birthday and anniversary, and The Prime Rib did not disappoint. The food was excellent; the trio, as always, setting the pace; the service timely and attentive. We loved all of it, and were even treated to a saxophone serenade!
Had been here once before. Consider myself a prime rib junkie. Signature cut is generous, flavorful. Ordered mine medium rare. Was more like medium well. First time i ordered mine rare and it was excellent. I should have done the same but this time it was definitely not medium rare. They have a couple of specials but most items are ala carte. It is a little pricey like any high end steakhouse.
Bob made our night perfect. No rush to enjoy great wine and excellent food.
We really like the Prime Rib and have been going there for many years. The restaurant and menu do not change and that is what we like. The food is excellent and there is no reason to keep changing the menu as is done in most restaurants. The piano in the evening adds to the dining experience.
The piano makes for good ambiance. The food was good, but service was lacking. We never even received bread like everyone else around us. Given prices and service, there are better places to go for the money where service is a priority.
