Class AAA restaurant/steak house. wish it were less expensive so I could go more often.
Excellent in every way. Outstanding value for the price.
My wife and I were celebrating her birthday on August 11, and received excellent service and culinary expertise.
We were delighted. The Prime Rib is a Baltimore 5 star, has been for years and remains so. I hope they never change their fine dining culture.
Very good from the experienced wait staff to the excellant drinks to the great food to the jazz music to the ambience and to the efforts to make my partner's birthday special.
The Greenberg potato skins, prime rib and chocolate mousse pie were all outstanding.
It was a celebration of my 70th birthday and we all had a great time. The staff was extremely gracious, efficient, professional and personal all at the same time. Bradley and Time took care of our table - they were wonderful, very attentive.
The food was excellent! Thank you for providing me with a very special restaurant experience!!!
After only eating here once, I hesitate rating, but overall, compared to Flemings and Cap Grill, this place is in last place. The service by Aaron, was superb, the prime rib was "good" not as much flavor as I had hoped, the appetizers (oyster rock and potatie skins) were okay...nothing special, and the bread pudding was far too wet. Enjoyed checking it off my list, but doubtful I'll ever go back.
There were 8 of us for dinner and everyone had a wonderful meal. It was nice that there were selections other than steak. But the steaks there are amazing!
The original Prime Rib is always consistently great. The ambiance is wonderful, and it's so nice to have a live piano player playing soft jazz, as you eat your dinner. It's definitely our favorite upscale restaurant in Baltimore.
Prime rib is one of our favorite restaurants. However, the server we had this time was not of prime rib quality. That is why the rating is only three stars. I don’t recall his name but he was really not up to their usual top notch server.
The Prime Rib never disappoints. As requested, we were seated on the porch, and it was delightful. The restaurant was busy, but not noisy. We were able to converse easily. Travis, our server, was very engaging, personable and attentive. It was Restaurant Week, so we all decided to do the three courses for $35.00. We did start with Greenberg’s potato skins – presented with horseradish and sour cream – totally yummy. We moved on to 3 Caesar salads and 1 Special House salad – very crisp and fresh. Three of us enjoyed their Special Cut of Prime Rib (upcharge $5.00) – perfectly seasoned and cooked to our specifications. One in our party had the Fillet of Fresh Salmon stuffed with Crab Imperial (upcharge $5.00). The entrees were accompanied with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. To end our delicious meal, we savored the Chocolate Mousse Pie. Thank you for participating in Restaurant Week. We all loved it and had a great time!!!!!!!
My wife and I have been going here for our Anniversary for 46 years and have never been disappointed. The Prime Rib is by far our favorite place for a romantic dinner.
Service was excellent. Food was superb
Terrific as always !!! Can’t go wrong ! Baltimore institution !
Our visit to The Prime Rib during Baltimore Restaurant Week was everything we could have asked for and more. Our server Travis was outstanding! He was attentive and went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. We were celebrating a family birthday, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent - prime rib was delicious! All of the salads, soup and desserts were exceptional. The Prime Rib is such a wonderful classic restaurant, and we just love every time we are able to visit!
It was an unfortunate experience during restaurant week. Our waiter not only ignored us the whole time, but made a point to say to other patrons loudly that the “real customers” of prime rib avoid the restaurant during restaurant week and that he personally can’t wait for it to be over. I think prime rib should just quit restaurant week or tell their wait staff to treat all their customers well. I have not experienced this at any other restaurant at anytime (and we dine out a lot!)—I don’t think any restaurant should tell their customers that they are second class citizens because they are getting a bargain.
Nice place. A bit too traditional of a menu for us but good. A great place to take your parents when they visit.
Our waiter Matt was amazing and he knew just when we needed something !
My boyfriend and I went for our three-year anniversary, which also happened to be Restaurant Week. Even though it was undoubtedly more hectic than usual for a Thursday night, the service was great, the food was delicious and the overall experience could not have been better. Can't wait to go back!
I love this place, super clean, great service, and awesome food. In fact, iv yet to have a bad meal at this establishment and I’m pretty sure I never will. Keep up the great work thanks to everyone that makes my prime rib dining experiences outstanding every time!
A magical evening! With all the fabulous restaurant week choices, the Prime Rib is always our top pick. Food delicious, service impeccable, tinkling piano, lovely martinis.
Always a delicious meal here and definitely a bargain during restaurant week. Highly recommend!
Always a wonderful dining experience. Suggest if you have never dined at The Prime Rib make sure to make a point of eating there, you will not be disappointed. We recently enjoyed the Restaurant Week menu and the value was outstanding,
I came here with my boyfriend for our 1-year anniversary, which happened to fall in Baltimore’s restaurant. This put it miraculously within our budget (he’s a medical student and I work in nonprofit), so we splurged — best decision we could’ve made. The Prime Rib was like stepping into another world, perhaps the 1930s or 40s. Every single person we interacted with treated customers not like customers but like ladies and gentlemen. The ambience featured someone playing a grand piano, dim romantic lighting, portraits on the wall, women decked out in elegant dresses... I’ve never experienced anything like it. The wait staff was beyond professional and extraordinarily courteous. And the food. It was the largest piece of prime rib I’d ever had. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection; the mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were just delightful with it. I got the creme brûlée; my boyfriend got the key lime pie. Both were from another world. I’m already counting down for year #2 so we can splurge on The Prime Rib again. This is worth any in-town or out-of-town trip to Mt Vernon.
The Prime Rib scored again: superb, as always! Thanks for a wonderful evening, celebrating with twelve people. The waiters are outstanding!
It was restaurant week and very busy for a Tuesday night. Our table of six was celebrating two birthdays and we had a fabulous meal with terrific service. Highly recommended for a special occasion.
Enjoyed our meal and our server Christopher, look forward to our next visit!!!
The food and service were good, not great. I expected more from reviews and just wasn’t wowed.
Alway a hit. Our favorite waiter Aaron was on his game the night we dined there. We will be back with friends
Enjoyed restaurant week. Real jewel in elegant dining in Baltimore, MD.
Great food and great service. The steaks were prepared to your order and the staff were very professional. I loved the key lime pie.
My favorite restaurant in Baltimore, and in my opinion the best steak restaurant on the East Coast. You won’t regret dining here.
Prime Rib never disappoints even on Restaurant Week.
Impeccable service. Great filet mignon. Cooked perfect. Food very good
We went during restaurant week and were very pleasantly surprised. Bob, the server, was terrific and gave my deaf son extra attention. The food was great and we had a very enjoyable evening.
Top tier restaurant. Food and service always excellent.
Restaurant week is kind of a catch twenty-two. The price for dinner is about half the amount of a normal meal. What you give up is ambience, eligance, and a quiet environment. A normal meal a jacket for men is a must. During restaurant week there were people in jeans and tee shirts. If your looking for price, restaurant week is great. If your looking for intimacy or romance pick another time.
Annual occurrence. Once again the Prime Rib did not disappoint. It was restaurant week and the $35 pri fixe menu as well as a Sunday 1/2 price wine list made the trip even more enticing m. Service was impeccable as was the cut of prime rib. Will be back for more!
Came here during Restaurant week. Enjoyed the menu.
