  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
Our location brings out the best in fresh local seafood, dry aged beef, world-class wines and waterfront views - making The Restaurant at Alderbrook a destination in itself.

The interior setting of The Restaurant at Alderbrook takes its inspiration from the outdoors with warm colors of chocolate brown and sage green representing the gardens and lawn of the resort. Floor-to-ceiling windows and multi-levels amplify views of the brilliant shore and snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains.

The cuisine showcases local seafood harvested from Puget Sound and Hood Canal. After all, our shores are encrusted with oysters, our docks lined with mussels, and our sea teems with salmon.

Our waitress in the morning, Joyce, was outstanding. We had breakfast all three mornings and she was our server. Very courteous and helpful. She remembered us and was fun to visit with. Our food was spot on! Oyster hash, Hama Hama eggs Benedict, and oyster omelette were amazing. The chefs did an amazing job. For dinner we had the clams and salmon. Both prepared to perfection. The focaccia with the clams was so good. We topped it all off with the huckleberry lemon cake. Charlie was our dinner server and we followed everyone of his recommendations and we were never disappointed! Thank you Alderbrook for making our first time visit with our dog so positive. The only negative were Alder and Brook. They did not like our dog as well as the staff. But understand that they have been there a long time and cats rule!

The atmosphere is wonderful if it is not so crowded. When it’s full, the restaurant becomes a nosy bar. When there is less people, the whole place becomes charming. The server couldn’t get what we ordered because it was so noisy and he brought a wrong oder. The food was great. My husband and I both enjoyed our meal. Try to go very early or very late so it’s a wonderful place to have dinner.

Alderbrook presents itself as a very high end restaurant with an outstanding menu. Not so, this restaurant is living on it's past. Yes, the views are fantastic, the atmosphere is Great..Food and Service is severely lacking. The end result is a bill that is 30-40% too high for the food presented and a 20% service charge on top of it all on the bill. We have been to Alderbrook three times...Strike three we will not be returning.

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. We ordered the Reuben and the meat was over cooked and tough and the bread was burnt. The fries were clearly heated up, not fresh. The chicken sandwich was disappointing, the chicken breast was over cooked and seemed like it was microwaved and not freshly grilled. I had been here 3 weeks prior and the meal was great, this time very disappointing and I was embarrassed as I had raved about the food to the out of town guest I had brought with me. I had also reserved a window table a month in advance, also confirmed 2 days before and we were placed across from the window with a large poll blocking the view 🙁

We had a table of 4 for our 50th anniversary. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and then seated promptly. We all ordered the Farm Stand salad and it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed it. One person ordered the Crab Cakes and the rest of us ordered various steaks and frites. All of the meals were perfection and every steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Those steaks are also very delicious and tender. Everything was also seasoned perfectly, although the broccoli could have used a tad less salt. The person who ordered the Crab Cakes said they would have liked frites to be included, but they said the Crab Cakes were delicious. The desserts were divine. One couple ordered the Huckleberry Layer Cake. They loved it. My husband and I ordered the Lemon Creme Brûlée. It was very good too! I would like to give a shout out to Paddy, our waiter. He was a delight and made our dinner even more special. They are fortunate to have such a wonderful person representing the restaurant. All in all, our dining experience was excellent, as well as the food. Highly recommend!

Our food took a very long time (over an hour), was not served hot, and was mediocre in flavor at best. My husband didn’t enjoy his ribeye and said it was bland. The S’mores Torte was burnt and tasted terrible. We mentioned this to our server and she made no effort to correct the issue. I was told my card didn’t work in their machine and I asked for a manager who might be able to enter the card manually. The server declined my request and said we would need a different card. My card worked fine in their gift shop machine right after dinner. We won’t be back soon. The plus was the beautiful view and the Tiger Prawn appetizer was delicious but we would expect more for $350 (2 kids and 2 adults with no alcohol).
