   Love Redstone the ambiance the service was very good. The eggs Benedict was not my favourite the English muffin was dry. The price was high for a salad, eggs Benedict and a sample of deserts.

   Positive outing. Great setting and view. Ate inside as a bit cool outside 10’. Table very comfortably positioned allowing conversation. Enjoyed Redhouse Sauvignon Blanc and Cab Sauv with meal -2 orders of mussels and 1 fish and chips. Both meals excellent!!! Comment: for lunch, volume of both orders was too large. Suggest volume be reduced and cost adjusted to be around $20.00. so lunch for 3 with a glass of wine is around $100.00/$110.00. Great experience - will recommend and return. Effective website Open Table works very well for customer.

    We really enjoy coming to redstone. They have a great ambiance and view! Food was delicious. We got the spinach artichoke dip, lamb and pork duo. All were great! We also did the dark chocolate sorbet and creme brûlée for dessert. Our server was really friendly, but she didn’t check on us much. Mind you we didn’t mind that, but may have felt differently if we had concerns with our meal.

    A fantastic and unassumingly exquisite place. The food was tremendous as always, as are the Tawse and Red Stone wines. The quality, flavour and presentation of the food is always wonderful and always exceeds expectations. You’re truly getting a genuinely delightful culinary experience here. The staff is always amazing. They are polite, prompt and professional; knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients as well as the wines. The designed cocktails are another hidden gem in their arsenal that round off the experience, they never disappoint. Always a great experience.

    For these reasons, we will never go back to the Red Stone restaurant: 1) 35 minutes after ordering before the hummus arrived, then ANOTHER 55 minutes until our mains arrived. Ordered at 7:15 and mains arrived at 8:45. Absolutely no communication about the delay from the server, requiring that I get up, walk to the kitchen doors and enquire about the extreme delay. Inexcusable! Poor management and poor server training. 2) Two of the four mains was the highly recommended (by server) Halibut. Both were overcooked (dry and hard). Guessing that they sat under a warming lamp for 30+ minutes. A $49 piece of dry, hard halibut x 2. Inexcusable! Poor management. 3) When ordering, we asked also for some bread and butter, which was met with an immediate “sorry, we don’t offer that” from our server. Must have been the disbelief on all our faces that made our server go on to say that they just don’t have bread. She saw that we weren’t accepting that reasoning either so she quickly said she’d ask the kitchen, and added that if it was available, then they would charge another $5.00 appetizer fee. 2 pieces of buttered cut toast arrived with the hummus. Horrible handling of our request. Poor management & poor server training. 4) When delivering the bill, the restaurant manager arrived with two complimentary bottles of Red Stone wine quickly saying “sorry for the delay, there was a group order that was in front if yours” then turning and walking away. Very poor handling by management.

    I've been before and I'm not sure if I will be back in the future. The prices used to include the tip as staff are paid a living wage, as is reflected in the higher prices. Based on our visit this night, the staff indicated that the old policy no longer applies so prices seam rather inflated given you still have to add a tip. The food was good and a little different from a typical restaurant but sometimes the effort of good presentation leaves the plate looking pretty but lacking substance, for example, $130 for a shared steak dish for 2 that doesn't even bring a potato. Also, the restaurant was made aware that this was 2 couples celebrating a major anniversary and there was no acknowledgement made at all. Disappointing as I know other restaurants would have been sure to make note of the celebratory night. Before recommending to a friend, I would have to share this information as it is rather expensive. The service was wonderful.

    Limited selection of food choices. Portions are on the light side. In comparison to other winery restaurants in the region, menu items are on the more expensive side.
