Beautiful restaurant with large windows overlooking the vines. In the summer there is a great patio for outdoor dining. Great value when you go for their Friends and Neighbours specials.
Great pizza and the gluten free crust was one of the best ones we have tried
The food was actually terrible. The server was nice but did not really know what she was talking about. There were only 2 other tables besides us on a saturday night. Some of the courses were missing items they had stated in the menu. Maybe the chef was having a bad night but I would not go back and would discourage people from going.
Disappointed with what we paid to the portion sizes of the meal! Been to many wineries but the value just isn't there at Redstone.
Far exceeded my expectations!
We had a fantastic time we had the tasting menu with wine paring, it was a touch expensive however we had no bad things to say about food and it was really fabulous. I would highly recommend to do the wine pairing!! It was an experience we had never done before and the wine fit so beautifully with every course.
Our server was very friendly and so knowledgable about all wines and food. I wish it was a touch cheaper however food and service was so good that I would pay that again
Awesome food and service!! Thank you to our waitress Courtney!! She was very friendly and polite!!
We will definitely be back!!
Was there with a group of 9, all friends who hadn't seen each other in a while. We were seated in a beautiful semi-private room with gorgeous views that allowed us to catch up without being surrounded by others. The food was delicious, the restaurant itself was stylish and lovely, and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend!
We often go to the restaurant for their Friends and Neighbours Nights. we find it to be a great value for the special menu they put together.
Went on friends & neighbours night. Great menu to try. Thank you
This restaurant is awesome. I went here for my 1 year anniversary. It was my second time there. I don't drink (they have a huge wine selection), but I go here for the food. Ingredients are fresh, service is great, food is delicious.
We were a party of 7 for my Mom's 80th birthday. Waitress was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Tabs were split for our convenience. One level good for people with walkers. We went in November but it looks like a great patio so we will go back in the summer for sure. Overall a very nice experience. Highly recommend.
We love Redstone patio for brunch and dinner in the warmer months and this was our third visit for dinner inside, 6th time at Redstone overall!! It was a perfect choice to meet friends from our foodie adventure tours halfway between Burlington and Niagara. This time we brought our friends from Virginia USA and they quite enjoyed it!
We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but didn’t realize it was Friends & Neighbours Night. The wonderful waitress explained that their menu was snacks, small plates, and pizza for the evening. Initially we thought about leaving but decided to give it a shot and tried a few things from the scaled back menu. Each dish was decent, plus $6 glasses of wine helped 😜
We hoped to try their dinner menu given we don’t get many nights out without the toddler, not sure when we’ll be able to get.
The oysters never disappoint. The warm squash salad was also a pleaser. The Pinot Gris was exceptional along with the overall service.
A very pretty spot and a lovely place for a quiet lunch. The food (fish and chips, burger) were good.....We've had much better and much worse. Lovely servers and nice view. I did only have one piece of fish and lots of fries for $25.00.....abit pricey for what I got. Bonus was we got 10% off the wine we bought in the tasting room as we left using our lunch receipt. A nice place to visit one a year in the fall......but once a year is about right for this restaurant.
Very good service and quick delivery of food - our group of 3 had different items from the lunch menu which were all well prepared and presented (cod and chips, elk stroganoff, shrimp risotto). Half hour drive from Burlington or Hamilton - would definitely return.
Our server was 25 minutes getting to our table to take our order. When she finally arrived, she spewed off the specials in such a hurry, we could hardly keep up. Obviously, she was busy and just wanted to get our order and get back out to the patio. We had to chase her down a few times for one thing or another during the meal, and waited 15 minutes for the check, after we requested it. The main dining room was nearly empty, but the outside patio was busy. She was more involved with bigger tables outside than she was with us. As well, her skin tight golf shirt was stained and dirty looking. She was quite overweight and it didn’t suit her. The other wait staff were nicely dressed in crisp cotton blouses. Her conversation with us from the beginning was to ask us where we were from, and when we told her, she proceeded to explain to us the terrible, unsafe neighbourhoods she was familiar with in our town. How did she know we weren’t
Living there? She would be more suited to working in a pub slinging beer, in my opinion. I was disappointed given the price point of the lunch (over $80.0 including tax and tip)......felt we should have had a more sophisticated server taking care of us, given the venue. We won’t be back. There’s too many other wineries in the area offering better experiences.
We had a very nice time at Redstone. The day that we were there they served a special thanksgiving menu. Everything was delicious. My only complaint is that the turkey course was not very warm. (It was lukewarm at best by the time it was served to us). Overall though, the food and wine were excellent and the staff very friendly.
Great experience and food. Had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday.
Menu selections were too limited. Overall meal choices were very limited.
We dined at Redstone on our way home from Toronto after reading many stunning reviews.
However, if you don’t choose the 7 course tasting menu which we felt was both expensive and too much food, we were disappointed with the lack of choice in the alacarte menu. A meat, beef, which was no longer available, they substituted lamb, a fish and a vegetarian choice of cauliflower.
The entrees are not cheap, the portion size of the lamb quite small. There were no salads offered, green or grain. Not enough of the ingredients reflected the abundance of the regions’ current fresh vegetable offerings.
The hot chocolate souffle’, although slightly undercooked, was palatable.
Great location with a patio overlooking the vineyards. The interior of the restaurant is unique architecture. Obviously the restaurant was not expecting the number of patrons they had on a beautiful fall day. The wait time for service was not acceptable. Food was good, dessert amazing, don’t think we will return. Additionally the condition of the ladies washroom was deplorable.
We try to get to Redstone a few times a year. menu is always changing so won't be specific about the items other than they are very good. wines are spectacular. outdoor patio is great - looks over the vineyard but inside is nice too as it has a wall of windows looking over the patio.
We were there for the friends and neighbours pizza night. The pizza crust was charred and tasted decidedly burnt! The service was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant but perhaps not the pizza.
We were delighted with the tasting menu and wine pairings. The plates were beautiful and delicious. Wines were paired perfectly with the flavours of the dishes. Highly recommend!
Being a local I am always thrilled to show off to friends that come to visit. One of my favorites in the area.
The band was fantastic, and we had a great time. Pizza was much better than the last time we visited. Overall, yes - we would come back. Only downfall was the service, which we keep experiencing each time we come. Empty glasses are never taken away, table just continues to accumulate. After we asked for boxes and our bill, we waited 15 mins, which seemed a bit long. Everything really is perfect ... if you nail down the service aspect ... it would be a 5 out of 5 no problem.
We have dined here previously for lunches and this was our first dinner. Our party of four opted for the Tasting Menu with wine pairing after sharing a dozen oysters. We where pleasantly surprised by the creative seven courses and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A seven course dinner consisting of small but adequate portions and individual wine pairings deserves to be lingered over and enjoyed with good company and conversation. The service was well executed and the evening was the highlight of our weekend in Niagara wine country. I would highly recommend the Tasting Menu with wine pairing at The Restaurant at Redstone Winery. If you have the opportunity to dine there, you won't be disappointed.
The winery was a lovely place and atmosphere. The food was delicious and great variety on the tasting menu. The service was lacking however it was a busy day in September and several customers were sitting outside.
Another great evening with great live music and an amazing sunset!
Friends night is overrated - only 2 entries, very small portions.
Were only allowed to pick 4:00pm and 4:15pm for reservations and there were only about 20 people dinning all night and they can accommodate 85 people.
Redstone's patio on a summer evening is the place to enjoy good wine, fine food and the magic of wine country!
Resdstone is one of our absolute favorite restaurants. We love listening to live music on the patio while enjoying amazing wine, salads, pizza and small plates. The patio surroundings are beautiful and the live music brings such an incredible ambiance. The staff team are all super friendly and professional. We very much appreciated the special touches we received for a recent celebration dinner. Thank you!
What a great place - especially their outdoor dining! My husband and I visited Redstone for a lunch date in the middle of the week which was a treat for us. It was our first visit and we were quite impressed!
Our lunch was delicious with a lovely view of their vineyard. The service was very friendly with attention to details. We will definitely return!
The food was good. The service, actually just the hostesses, was exceptionally poor. I have scarecly experienced such rudeness, we were turned away and told only those with reservations were being seated, despite there being empty tables and it being mid day. We came back later, at the dinner hour with reservations and were again greeted with rudeness. I won’t be back, it was lacklustre as a result of the reception and that set the tone for the meal.
We had a lovely meal at The Restaurant at Redstone. The food was seasonal, very thoughtful, well prepared, well plated and of course delicious!!! Great value. The server was also very knowledgeable about the wine and wine pairing. A must visit.
The food was an amazing experience, but the service was even better. Friendly, knowledgeable staff made our first honeymoon dinner a delight.
The wine pairings with their tasting menu were well matched.
As always, David always makes us happy. Wonderful lunch, sparkling wine, and saw old friends as well.
