   The New York Strip that I ordered was one of the thinnest pathetic cuts I have ever seen served. It was so upsetting I didn’t eat it. All the other food was wonderful.

   This place need to Revamp. Food was horrible fir the price. Pork Chops were overbooked and the sides were cold, after waiting 45 minutes from placing our order. Don’t go!!!

    Opulence reigns in the decor and impeccable service at the Rib Room. We treated ourselves to a fancy breakfast and we’re not disappointed. We felt like VIPs. The food was good but the overall experience was the best. It’s fun , once in a while, to sample how the other half lives. It was a treat.

    I can’t actually rate the food because we were sat at 6:15, ordered at 6:30 and two hours later the food still never came. Asked for a manager who took 30 minutes to actually speak to us and he took zero responsibility. His name was Jeff and the server and buser both said he is awful to employees and customers. The entire dining room had zero food. 0/10 literally do not go here.

    Good Martinis but bringing mains whilst still halfway through starters was not great. Steak was poor. Nora - our main server was great -but some of her colleagues less so. Sadly unable to recommend Dining here.

    This booking was made well in advance as part of our 30th wedding anniversary trip to the Omni Royal, and NOLA. Unfortunately the evening didn’t start well, and tbh didn’t improve. Firstly, when we arrived front of house didn’t seem to be able to find our reservation. And only after a few minutes were they able to find it. Next our server, after his initial introduction seemed distracted, and busy everywhere else except with us. It required us getting his attention before he came to our table. Our table menu didn’t have the cocktails list included, this then took time for him to locate one of these. Upon ordering my wife’s cocktail, and a bottle of wine for our meal, it then took considerable time for him to track down the manager for the wine cellar key. As the cellar was locked ?? Once we had finally received our wine and cocktails we managed to order our meals. This was were the next disappoint arose. As we were planning on eating at Fogo’s the following night we were both keen to try the lamb. Unfortunately this wasn’t available, but it wasn’t until we tried to order that we were informed of this. It was then over an hour before our starters arrived. At no point prior to this were we offered bread. And it was only after specifically asking if there was bread did we receive any. Both mine, and my wife’s starters were good. It was just a shame the service let it down. When our mains were served, mine being the double cut pork chop, my wife had the half chicken. My wife’s chicken was cold, it was cooked, but internally cold. Needless to say this was not eaten. My chop was very good and was enjoyable. Again though, the service left a lot to be desired. It’s such a pity that the service let down, what should have been a great celebration. We did receive a conciliatory bottle of champagne, and the hospitality manger was extremely apologetic. But based on our experience I’d find it hard to recommend.. Karl

    Incredibly disappointing. Service was mediocre until a second server took over our table. Food was disappointing as well- expected much better prime rib from a restaurant so highly rated- fatty and not tender. Will not be going there again.

    We used to love this place and always looked forward having a memorable meal. This is no longer the case. The gumbo was bland and the service superficial. They couldn’t find the wine that was shown on the menu. Hope things will return to what they used to be.

    The dining room is very impressive with arched windows overlooking Royal St. with coffered ceiling, tapestries, and iron chandeliers. French bread & butter with water was immediately served, and while it was a difficult choice between the French martini & Hurricane, I chose the latter. The turtle soup was good, but definitely missing something (a different consistency, color, & less flavor than at Palace Cafe, Brennan’s, & Muriels). I had the ribeye with loaded creamed potatoes. The complimentary cheesecake with candle was a nice surprise to celebrate my birthday in New Orleans.

    The service we received was excellent from the moment we arrived. The appetizers included the turtle soup, which was very good pork chops, and the drum also very good. I would recommend eating here anytime.

    Love the rib room for exquisite meats, always exceptional service, but the wine prices are outrageous exponentially marked up at more than triple market value, and more than any other restaurant out here that we love to frequent definitely recommend to byo for the corking fee.

    Such a nice experience in an elegant atmosphere, attentive service, delicious food, quiet atmosphere. Lamb chops for the four of us were prepared to perfection and so, so tender and juicy. Such a nice welcoming staff also.

    We had the best service here at breakfast of any restaurant at which we’ve dined this trip to New Orleans. Our server was delightful and made us feel like we were really in New Orleans. Our good was great too.

    We stayed at the Omni Royal and the restaurant was located in the hotel. We had breakfast there twice. Beautiful restaurant with a casual vibe. Staff was super friendly and our servers both mornings were extremely nice and attentive. The food was delicious and fresh, a perfect breakfast! The bottomless mimosas were delicious as well. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Next visit to NOLA will definitely dine here again and hopefully try dinner next time.

    I was hoping for various prime rib sizes. My husband got the $64 16oz size, that's too big for me, but the only option. That was disappointing since I live prime rib. Please bring back the smaller cuts. So i got the pork chop. Good but the side dish was a piece of bread with cheese melted on it. Really? I won't be back for awhile. Until they get a few things adjusted on their menu. And I think $64 for a 16 Oz steak is outrageous!

    Disappointing. Many items listed on the website menu were not available mid week. Seafood gumbo was missing the usual crab meat and the oysters were strong. The creamed spinach was served cold. My advice, don’t visit for mid week lunch. Friday’s are always wonderful.
