The Roy croft is always good. Great Service. Outstanding food. The Servers are excellent. A great place to go for a special occasion.
My husband and I took advantage of the Roycroft's 25th anniversary menu. We loved our entrees; the appetizers were good. The desserts were absolutely delicious!
We were seated near the fireplace, which was lovely. Our servers were attentive and thoughtful. All in all, we had a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend!
1st time here for Brunch food and service were great!
Sue was amazing. She made my moms birthday so special. Everyone was very customer focused. French onion soup was the best I have had. Look forward to coming back soon.
My husband and I did the 25th anniversary dinner special. My husband had the sautéed chicken breast and I did the chicken & shrimp linguini. Both were seasoned and cooked well. Our server was friendly and was knowledgeable of the menu. I would definitely recommend for dinner.
This was for my birthday and we wanted someplace special. Haven’t been here in a number of years and we were not disappointed. Atmosphere was great. Service was exceptional as was the food from the special menu for the month of March. Silver Renovation Menu. This has to be one of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time.
Most food cold and/or overcooked, ie, coddled eggs. Bacon and sausages undercooked and very cold.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service!
Perfect place to go for a special occasion or a casual glass of wine with a friend to unwind.
A wonderful meal for my husband and me! Rainbow trout for him, rack of lamb for me, both from the special anniversary menu. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious, altho the portion of trout was decidedly smaller than what is pictured on the facebook page. The spinach salad was large enough for 2, and the hot bacon vinaigrette was the best I’ve ever had. My husband chose the shrimp and sausage gumbo as his appetizer, and he was very happy with the flavor. Topped it of with a hot fudge sundae for him, and a (small) slice of chocolate cake to go. A bottle of wine and coffee for 2 brought the tab to just under $100...a bargain for what we got. We plan to return weekly during the 25th anniversary celebration!
Absolutely appalling food, no creativity or elegance, looked like a breakfast buffet in cheap hotel, congealed egg dishes, meats in bay Marie’s sitting in oil, etc
Worse though ... it’s all extremely unsanitary self serve with no guard screens, people coughing on food, people picking up cakes by hand and putting back on serving tray ...
Overall disgusting experience
Great place. Food and service excellent. Highly recommend it!
Meal very enjoyable
We enjoyed a dinner there on Wednesday night. I wish we had been told that the main dining room was being used for a 4 course wine pairing event. We would have signed on. Instead we got seated on the porch which doesn’t have the same ambiance. Nevertheless the food and service were stellar.
Had dinner on a Wednesday evening that was delicious and enjoyed being able to bring a bottle of wine without being charged a cork fee!
Absolutely delicious!! The food was amazing. Our server Barbara was very friendly and informative. Great price for everything that you get.
We frequent the Roycroft Inn occasionally and have high expectations of great food, service, and drinks in a historical setting. Our recent dinner for Valentine's Day 2020 was no different and we weren't disappointed.
The Roycroft had a Valentine's Day special menu, but we ordered off the regular menu and the wine list. The food was superb and the wine was nicely priced per bottle. Two extra kudos from our visit were my Old Fashioned cocktail, which was nicely muddled with good bourbon strength, and the always flavorful French Onion Soup. The Roycroft Inn's French Onion soup is one of the best I've had in the Buffalo area.
A nicely romantic setting, great food and wine, and prompt, pleasant service made for a very enjoyable evening. The Roycroft is always great for special occasions and is recommended even for the typical night out for dinner.
What a wonderful experience, server was attentive, ambience was spectacular, dim lighting ,quiet atmosphere, excellent dinner ,a little on the downside, the whipped potatoes need work and could be hot when served. We will be there again. All in all 5 stars. Thanks for a work evening.
Valentines dinner went great. Food was awesome and service was very good
It was great.
The best thing about the Roycroft was the ambience- the beauty of the room, the ease with which we could have conversation and the wonderful servers. The food was good, prices are a little steep. Overall, it was a nice experience and we would eat there again for special occasions.
Amazing service! Nice, friendly, and welcoming.
The food and company was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Always good to visit this historic Inn. Fond memories of happy times with friends.
Repeat visit. Excellent menu options. Creative cocktails. Food preparation and presentation perfect. Service outstanding. Great dinner and evening. Will revisit again.
Love this historic restaurant!
Over the top brunch!! Fantastic service!! A+++++++++++++++++++ across the board!!!!!
Disappointed in my meal , vegetables were hard and filet was ok !
We had a very nice dinner experience after not having been to the Roycroft for a while. Very good service, nice menu choices and everything was prepared just right. We'll definitely be going back sooner rather than later!
We will definitely be back for another meal. As soon as we walked in the door we were met with friendly people. I admired the details in the Inn and a lovely lady, Linda, introduced herself and gave us a brief history of the Inn. We had a beautiful lunch and then headed to the shops.it was just am amazing afternoon. Would love to try it in the evening.
We had a wonderful dinner. Our service was excellent!!
Enjoyed our night at the Roycroft Inn for dinner. Our waitress was wonderful. Food was delicious. The Larkin room was very quaint. Love the ambiance of this place.
We asked for a specific table and were delighted they were able to honor our request.
New Year’s Eve. The food was subpar. Nothing special about it. The server was very good except she had a horrible cough.
We really like dining at the Roycroft and have taken out of town guests there.
My husband and my diner were both very good.
The only improvement we both agree about is the taste of the bread. The bread tasted very bland.
Our server was great!
There's a small bar where we found a very overwhelmed bartender. When we asked if the 2 seats in front of us were open (bar looked like someone just finished up a large meal and drinks and hadn't been cleared yet) he said he was super busy and didn't have time to clean that up. We walked away and went to a table.
Food and service were wonderful during dinner!
Whenever friends or family members come to visit, we love to bring them to the Roycroft Inn. The experience is never disappointing. Years ago my cousins from DC also stayed at the Inn...they still talk about their wonderful stay. It's one of WNY's gems! Thank you all at the Roycroft.
We had a table of 11 lifelong friends. Seating was a bit tight, service was quite slow but the ambiance and good quality was very good. Very long gaps between drinks and app order and longer for entrees. We have been here many times before and felt this was less of a quality experience than had previously. I expected more quite frankly.
The food, wait staff, and ambiance were marvelous. Half way through our meal, a large group arrived. They were offensively loud. I think that putting them in the corner amplified their volume. Otherwise, everything else was wonderful.
Having visited the Roycroft Inn previously, my wife and I dined there on Dec. 29. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and for the most part, the atmosphere was perfect. Unfortunately, the end of our meal was spoiled by preteen brats running up and down the aisles of the restaurant. The children were supposedly under the care of a private party, but instead, it seems they had the run of the restaurant, disturbing patrons, and generally misbehaving, while the parents ignored their importunate behaviour. My wife and I drove an hour and half to dine at the restaurant, and we expected a more intimate dining experience, not a fast food atmosphere created by ill bred chidren. After the dinner, we were in the lobby and found young children bouncing on the chesterfield where we were sitting. Your inn is beautiful, and we hope to return, but not in the company of adults who cannot control their children.
I went to the Roycroft for brunch based on recommendations but was not as impressed. I felt the food offerings were just average as was the taste. I know it was buffet but a server never came to the table until I asked for him - you could only get juices or your complimentary mimosa from your server however the buzzer was fantastic. She made sure to help fill coffee and clear plates expeditiously.
