The eggs benedict were uninspiring. .I don't understand serving melons for fruit that is out of season instead of citrus which is great this time of year, and bananas are always good. the service of coffee was very limited and the cup size is miniscule. Location and ambience is lovely.....

Good view. Great waiter. Food was good but not enough on the seafood pasta dish on the brunch menu. I was still very hungry after my meal.

Very nice and romantic restaurant overlooking all of Vancouver. We went there on Valentine's day and they had a pre-set menu but overall the food was okay. Small portions and could have been better. The dessert was mediocre at best, but very nice views and good service. However, I was very surprised when I ordered a Moscow Mule from the bartender and they made it in a glass cup! I asked if they had a traditional copper mug and they said no. My husband ordered an old fashioned and it was also not properly made with a bunch of ice cubes when it's supposed to be made with one big one. You'd think a restaurant like Salmon House would know how to properly make drinks given the prices are more expensive than Blue Water Cafe or Hawksworth!

We went for dinner on Valentines Day. There was a limited menu but enough choice to suit us. Price was set at a high level because of the occasion but this is probably not unusual in many restaurants. Overall, we were very pleased with the Salmon House and would consider going again.

First off... I’ve never written a restaurant review cause I’m definitely not picky. I’m mostly complaining about the price here. This was our first time at Salmon House. And unfortunately it did not meet our expectations... The set menu for Valentine’s Day was just NOT worth the price. The appies were good, but mains were super sub-par in terms of taste and quality. My duck was over cooked... twice. (Had to send back, second time round was still bad). Overall, for $89/ person with an included 18% gratuity/ person... we expected exceptional food. Because we knew we could’ve gone to our favourite Italian restaurant Cin-Cin for the exact same price On V-day, but the food would’ve been incredible, as it always is there.
I just think in the future, Salmon house set menu should definitely be cheaper, or at least make sure whatever you’re serving is always going to come out hot and incredibly prepared if you’re charging an arm and a leg.

The view and the calm quiet atmosphere made for a wonderful evening to spend time in scintillating conversation. The food was good but nothing outstanding and the service was a little disruptive, but otherwise competent.

Brunch was great. We all had scrambled eggs with chicken sausage. Was sad to hear you cannot substitute sausages with avocados.
Also, you have no marmalade for brunch! Nonetheless it was a pleasant experience.

We had a lovely big family Sunday brunch at the Salmon House, the staff were helpful, friendly, made us all (including the the kids) feel welcome, accommodated our special requests, and didn't rush us despite us being the last to leave. We booked online, sent a special request, and confirmed our booking via Open Table, which all went smoothly. I'd be happy to come back again and recommend the Salmon House to a friend.

The warm ambiance and beautiful view from the restaurant make it a perfect spot for a special occasion. We chose from the Dine Out menu, and everyone enjoyed their meals tremendously. The Alder Grilled salmon was cooked perfectly and the Seafood Pappardelle was delicious. Service was friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. Would highly recommend the Salmon House! The only drawback was the poorly lit entrance to the parking lot and the lack of lighting in the parking lot itself - could use some improvement there.

Beautiful spot! Would go back again specifically for the views and the overall experience. Staff are friendly, interior is well maintained. Food was okay —there are much better restaurants nearby that would provide better quality food for the prices listed, but overall not bad.

We tried Dine Out menu at Salmon House.
The first choice (appetizers) were OK.
Main dishes (tenderloin and salmon) were REALLY good and portions were of decent size, a noticeable progress comparing with the last year.
But the last step, desserts, were so-so, unfortunately, very disappointing. Quite basic chocolate cake and something like bagel with cream - definitely nothing special.

The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The wine sauce on the tenderloin was flavourful with a hearty consistency, not too thick and not too watery. The sauce on the pappardelle was also very delicious. It had a nice seafood flavour that was not over powering and they gave you a healthy portion of seafood on the pasta. It’s enough to definitely fill you up. The service was good. The staff was friendly, gave us enough attention to feel looked after but not intrusive. The ambiance was perfect, beautiful scenery with out it being too noisy so that you can actually have a conversation. It was one of the best meals we have had in a long time.

Great dine out dinner and very reasonable. Service was great and the room quiet enough to be able to have a great conversation without yelling at each other...appreciated that.

We chose to dine on New Years' eve. There was a set event menu which was very good and had an excellent selection for each course. Our waitress was excellent - and had no problems accommodating my allergies and preferences despite the set menu. Simply put, the food was AMAZING... and this was one of our best dining experiences in Vancouver in 2019. The complementary Champagne near midnight was a nice touch, however, sadly we had to leave before then. We will definitely be back for all special occasions in 2020.
