The Salmon House
The Salmon House is world renowned for its fresh seafood and comprehensive BC wine list; accentuated by breath-taking views, warm comfortable surroundings and native art decor.
Great service by friendly and professional staff, very good food and beautiful location.
The halibut special with the mushroom risotto was outstanding.
Such a great spot. The only restaurant in Vancouver with a West Coast vibe and beautiful views. Food was great as well as service.
This restaurant has improved over the last time I was there a few years ago.. everything was perfect.. service and food.
We went to Salmon House because there is ample space between tables and the noise level is manageable but this time there was a party in the room next door and our table was adjacent to this party room. The music and noise level was most unpleasant.
Excellent meal service and view
Requested a window seat, and did not get one. Very disappointing because I had requested it plenty of time in advance, we arrived a few minutes late but we had called them 10 minutes before our reservation to say that we would be a few minutes late, traffic in West Vancouver very heavy over the dinner hour. We had guests from the east coast of the United States (Georgia), and thought they would enjoy the beauty of the view as well as their meal.
Always take visitors here. An rely on food, ambience and great service
We were celebrating my moms birthday! The service was outstanding! The view was so beautiful looking over the city. The food had its highs and lows. For the price and being in Vancouver I was disappointed. Had the scallops and prawns, scallops were excellent prawns were rubbery and tasteless sauce was good. My mother had lobster gnocchi, lobster it was ok not great, I thought lacking taste. My husband had Halibut special, fish was very good sauce was marginal veggies ok. For a restaurant of this caliber and price I was very disappointed in the food. Vancouver sea food should be excellent this disappointed
Great service, great location. Food was excellent, if a little pricey.
As always the salmon house on the hill did not disappoint there’s a reason why we’ve been coming to this restaurant for almost 25 years and why we consider it to be one of our favourites in all of British Columbia and in fact Canada I brought my entire team from Embark Health for a meal and it was spectacular the food was incredible the view was incredible and of course the service and the quality of food that came out of the kitchen was second to none salmon house on the hill please don’t ever change we love you
Great as usual
Overall it was a very good experience as the service & food were about expectation
We were disappointed with the very slow service, we had a wedding party 8 adults and 2 children, we had to keep getting up and asking for items, the main meal service was very very slow!
Food was excellent !!
Our waitress, was also working the bar, so she was busy pouring drinks for the restaurant and trying to serve us. I was a bit annoyed as the automatic service fee of 18% was charged (8 adults) automatically, and we definitely did not get "good" or even "fair" service.
We had left over cake, and she brought it out, for us to take home, not even wrapped, icing and cake crumbs everywhere! I expected more from a restaurant of this class.
Took one of our sons and his wife for brunch
I had stuffed French toast, she had blueberry pancakes both were very good
The men both had scrambled eggs sausages fried potatoes and toast and they really enjoyed their breakfast!
The view was exceptional with a cloud filled dramatically stormy sky and a choppy grey sea with pelting rain but weirdly beautiful!
We all had a great time!
Good food and great view of the ocean and Vancouver
We all enjoyed the “package”. Lovely West Coast ambiance, beautiful view (almost every table has some view), delicious food (mushroom omelette was outstanding) and great service.
The food and service were great. However, the noise level was a little too much for my preference. I am thinking that the noise level was high because it was a Friday evening around 6 pm. Usually we arrive later and the noise level is much more acceptable during the later hours.
Great food (especially the salmon), good service, and the view of Vancouver was spectacular.
Can’t say enough about the salmon house on the hill. Everything was literally perfect
Food was decent; what you what expect from an old school seafood restaurant. I ordered my food with an allergy and they accidentally gave it to someone else at the table. Not a big deal, but could have made me very sick.
Got the table I wanted, thanks!
Our first time at this restaurant, but definitely won’t be our last. Incredible meal!!
The Salmon House was always a favorite for me when I lived in West Vancouver, and this was the first time back in 20 years. My daughter and her husband were visiting from Dubai He is an avid fisherman and wanted to go Salmon fishing, but alas no Salmon fishing allowed. So I thought It would be a great experience to eat Salmon at the Salmon House. Nothing seemed to have changed much, the server was good view excellent, and the food wonderful. Thank you !
Amazing oysters and service!
Was treated to a birthday dinner and it was fantastic. It was a beautiful clear sunny day and so we had an awesome view of the water. Wonderful place for food and scenery.
It was amazing.
We had visitors from Europe with us so they were impressed by the view of Vancouver. The food and service were excellent. Three of us had the salmon trio which was very good. One had steak which was cooked to perfection. Some had the seafood sharing starter and it had a good variety of quality seafood. Serving sizes are not huge but adequate. All in all worth the price for a memorable evening with friends.
I was there for an early dinner, and the atmosphere was very relaxed, after my stressful week. Staff were welcoming, service was pleasant and prompt. Food was very good, but not exceptional.
Excellent options and presentation, food flavours very good. The best seafood and ambience to showcase for international guests. Especially salmon options.
Please increase the local craft beer options
We had a wonderful birthday celebration this evening. Food and service were outstanding.
great spot with the best views in the area along with high quality dishes. Service and ambiance was excellent for our 40th anniversary dinner.
Over the years, we have gone to the Salmon House on special occasions. We love it there!!
Our enters were cold, the chef mixed up the dinners when requesting certain items not be on the plate
The plates were cold. Only one white wine by the glass was on the wine list. The music was too loud
This restaurant is an excellent place to bring friends from out of town. It is a lovely example which showcases West Coast art, decor, and food. It is nestled in the trees and is located just south of the spectacular British Properties. It has a lovely view of Burrard Inlet and Lions Gate Bridge. The food is very West Coast and features many different types of salmon prepared many ways. The Seafood tower, which is very pricey is spectacular and can easily be shared as an entree for two. The service is efficient, prompt and unobtrusive. The Caesar salad with shrimp is terrific. It is a great place for fine dining and to show off beautiful British Columbia!
Very expensive for a meal that was only OK. When you are spending $40-$45 per entrée, you do expect to feel like you just eat something delicious. We definitely did not feel that way. Would not return.
Amazing food and service. Great place for a quiet date night dinner, with a amazing view.
Outstanding food and excellent service.
Always a wonderful evening.
Hitting home runs for decades.
