We had not been to the Salmon House and were pleasantly surprised with the quality and presentation of the food. Our server, Sonja was very attentive. Overall a lovely evening!

Very nice atmosphere and intimate. Food quality and presentation is very good and flavors are all well balanced. The trio sorbet dessert was excellent, flavors can be individually detected and each fruit flavor complemented each other. Main courses again were full of richness and great flavor.

We have been many times for special occations. It has a beautiful view, lately we go for brunch. I am lately finding it overpriced, and the dining room furniture is aging. Most of the cushions I could see at tables around me had stains, or lightened fabric from years of wear. Maybe not a big deal, but with so much bright light nd high prices I find it weird they haven't replaced. All areas are clean, servers polite. I had the meat hash brunch item and it was surprisingly bland, I very rarely add salt but resorted to. Our bread basket was good, $4.00.

Beautiful location grt seating lightning nice food delicious the only thing which might effect u is ur pocket when u pay as it’s a bit costly according to the stuff comes to u to eat. Also should add more breads and soups would be a good suggestion.

We have come many times before and always had a solid meal. It's been a while since our last visit and I'm that time they have changed a few things. Some for the better others maybe not as good. To be honest, our only gripe tonight was the Salmon Wellington. The server tried to warn us it wasnt like a normal Wellington as it had "less puff pastry". We didn't quite understand and thought it might just be a thinner pastry. Sadly, it was really just a salmon dish with some of the Wellington components on the plate with a puff pastry garnish. When the plate was served by the manager, she called it exactly what it was, a deconstructed Salmon Wellington. Had the server said that we would have taken pause as that is not what we enjoyed so much in past visits. Let me finish with this, the service was excellent, the dishes were all very well prepared and tasty and the view is second to none. Please just put the Wellington back together.

Main dishes were delicious. My halibut melted in my mouth. The only disappointment was the Salmon House Sampler. For $26 we were given four small pieves of tuna, two spring rolls and ONE scallop. Everything tasted great but how do you share ONE scallop????

We went to Salmon House because there is ample space between tables and the noise level is manageable but this time there was a party in the room next door and our table was adjacent to this party room. The music and noise level was most unpleasant.

Requested a window seat, and did not get one. Very disappointing because I had requested it plenty of time in advance, we arrived a few minutes late but we had called them 10 minutes before our reservation to say that we would be a few minutes late, traffic in West Vancouver very heavy over the dinner hour. We had guests from the east coast of the United States (Georgia), and thought they would enjoy the beauty of the view as well as their meal.

We were celebrating my moms birthday! The service was outstanding! The view was so beautiful looking over the city. The food had its highs and lows. For the price and being in Vancouver I was disappointed. Had the scallops and prawns, scallops were excellent prawns were rubbery and tasteless sauce was good. My mother had lobster gnocchi, lobster it was ok not great, I thought lacking taste. My husband had Halibut special, fish was very good sauce was marginal veggies ok. For a restaurant of this caliber and price I was very disappointed in the food. Vancouver sea food should be excellent this disappointed

As always the salmon house on the hill did not disappoint there’s a reason why we’ve been coming to this restaurant for almost 25 years and why we consider it to be one of our favourites in all of British Columbia and in fact Canada I brought my entire team from Embark Health for a meal and it was spectacular the food was incredible the view was incredible and of course the service and the quality of food that came out of the kitchen was second to none salmon house on the hill please don’t ever change we love you

We were disappointed with the very slow service, we had a wedding party 8 adults and 2 children, we had to keep getting up and asking for items, the main meal service was very very slow!

Food was excellent !!

Our waitress, was also working the bar, so she was busy pouring drinks for the restaurant and trying to serve us. I was a bit annoyed as the automatic service fee of 18% was charged (8 adults) automatically, and we definitely did not get "good" or even "fair" service.

We had left over cake, and she brought it out, for us to take home, not even wrapped, icing and cake crumbs everywhere! I expected more from a restaurant of this class.

Took one of our sons and his wife for brunch
I had stuffed French toast, she had blueberry pancakes both were very good
The men both had scrambled eggs sausages fried potatoes and toast and they really enjoyed their breakfast!
The view was exceptional with a cloud filled dramatically stormy sky and a choppy grey sea with pelting rain but weirdly beautiful!
We all had a great time!

My boyfriend and I came here after coming across the great reviews on Yelp and beautiful pictures of the view and food. We ordered a few starters which were decent. But we felt like the Salmon House Sampler is a little over priced for what it is. We also got the Pan Seared Scallop which was probably the best thing of the night. For our mains, we got some sort of tomato-based seafood soup and seafood pasta (I cannot find the items on photos online, perhaps the menu changes/changed). My pasta was decent but could be more flavorful. My boyfriends soup tasted like it was from a can of tomato paste/soup with seafood thrown in it along with some water. There was no flavor whatsoever. We couldn't accept to pay for this bowl so he asked the waiter if it would be acceptable to be taken off our bill as it was very unsatisfying and barely touched. The water then took the bowl away to the back for about 10 minutes and came back with our bill -- he seemed very offended that we commented negatively about the soup and asked to take it off our bill, he did not apologize nor seem symptomatic, didn't really talk after that as we paid our bill and left. We appreciate the item being taken off the bill and looks like off the menu now.

I was hoping to come back to the restaurant another time while summers' sunset but after that experience with the food and service, unfortunately will not be coming back.
