We celebrated our anniversary last weekend and had an absolutely amazing evening. The food and service were spectacular. We will definitely be back to try out happy hour. Can't wait! Thanks Shore Club for a great night.
Great server (Chad).
Prices are high (9oz glass of white wine), but difficult to find nice food in Ottawa like Shore Club.
Very nice. Window seats in the lounge were great but the heaters were so hot they melted our menu. Literally! Needless to say, it was steamy while dining. We moved our table a little away from the heater but it was still hot. My partner wanted to view the hockey on one of the 4 TVs. The TV's seem like they are 10+ years old. Time to update.
The food was very good. I guess like many restaurants they have discontinued bread for the table. I would have liked to have been asked.
I have been wanting to go there for months and was expecting everything to be better than it was. Food, service was ok, but I expected better quality (for food) for the money we paid.
Our server seemed a bit scattered at first.
I would not normally go to such a high end restaurant, however I wanted to treat my Girlfriend so that is what I did. The food and service was excellent. The drink selection made by the waiter were outstanding and the Baked Alaska we had as desert for the first time, amazing! Consider these when you receive your bill because it is on the expense side, but worth a special visit!
Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was out of this world!
The Hy's being gone, this may be the best option remaining for filet in Ottawa.
Excellent, attentive service great food and lovely atmosphere.
It was an amazing dinner. Challion was the best waiter.
Great service; great atmosphere; great food ! One of the 2 steaks was not cooked properly but this was immediately corrected.
Perfect restaurant 🥰 and cozy. J’y étais pour un anniversaire it’s was amazing 😉
Excellent food and service as always. Perfect place for an important business lunch.
Beautiful restaurant, staff number 1 but too expensive for what we had.
The host ruined our mood. Made reservation a month in advance, but still the host wanted to give us the worst and the most obscure table in the restaurant even though it was not full.
We are regular guests at the shore club for years.

Table for 2, birthday occasion
Date night with my wife great place and food, waiter was very nice with recommendations.
Very good food and service.
The restaurant is a bit noisy and slightly overpriced.
Very handy if you are staying at a downtown hotel.
Easy to get to and to park. Food is excellent with a great choice of dishes. Service was quick and efficient. Quiet setting that allowed for good conversation.
Excellent place to celebrate a special event. The short rib was the best we ever had.
Food and service were outstanding. I would highly recommend.
As frequent diners, my wife and I went last evening for my birthday. We reserved well in advance but had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Then we were seated at the extreme back corner beside a loud table of CFL football players. That was our first red flag for the evening!! Our appetizers came and were very bland with not much taste to them. Second red flag! We then had to wait at least 45 minutes for our mains after asking our server 3 times for our meal but he and the rest of the staff seemed to be pre occupied. When our mains finally arrived, my $47 16oz rib steak looked like something right off a supermarket shelf. This steak couldn’t have been more than 1/4”-3/8” thick—in other words paper thin!! In addition, I ordered it medium and it was served to me very rare. After waiting so long, I didn’t want to send it back at that point. C’mon folks for a supposedly high end steakhouse, this was pitiful!
To top the evening off, the server didn’t even bother to ask my wife if she would like another glass of wine (which was finished well before the entrees were served).
In short, there are far better restaurants in Ottawa than this place. We will not be back.
Had a reservation for 8:00 and wasn’t seated until 8:30. Not sure if every table was taken because I saw empty tables when I sat down. Unfortunately, it’s become a very noisy restaurant and for the prices you’re paying you’d expect the chance for quieter conversation. I’m not sure how many times you have to return to be a regular but I’ve been several times. Food was good, service was great but I wish it had a more traditional steak house ambiance for being downtown.
Good meal and very good service so a nice place to eat
The food as always was very good, but that night the service that we received was NOT good. First wrong appetizer was served to one of our guests. It had to be taken away and replaced. Then there was a mistake with the main courses. 2 people at our table ordered Filet. The steaks were delivered to the table. Luckily they weren’t started as we were awaiting a fish meal. All of s sudden the server returned and said that they were steaks for another table and took them away!! So embarrassing when you are entertaining guests. The meal was VERY EXPENSIVE and the service did not reflect the price or caliber of the restaurant. We went there because we were entertaining and were disappointed on that night.
My husband and I really enjoyed our evening at the Shore Club. Our server was very knowledgeable and personable.
We had the beet salad, steak carpaccio for appetizers, the single tier chilled seafood for main and then followed with a filet mignon and frites.
For dessert we had key lime pie and cheesecake.
Seafood and mains were great, dessert was overpriced for what it was.
Would definitely like to return for the happy hour promotion.
individual food items were cooked perfectly but a small piece of fish with a grilled lemon looked pretty lonely on a large white plate for $45-50. Similarly while sides were nicely cooked, they were served simply and a bit meagre for the price and because they were promoted as shareable between 3-5 diners.
Oysters are well prepared
Steak tartare is very good and tasty
Crab cake is good but needs to be a little more crunchy
Great staff and prompt service when ordering food. The value, however, was slightly more than the taste and quality of food. They didn’t seem to have a specialty for cuts of meat, the sides weren’t amazing but tasty regardless. The desert is as par also. Overall great convenient steakhouse to get to, the staff definitely made it better than the food did!
Been a regular at Shore Club for years, but likely will not return again. Prices have shot up and portions have shrunk. Paid $42 for 3 medium shrimp and 3 medium scallops (remember veg and starch sides are all extra $). That's $7 per shrimp or scallop!! Service has also plunged. When first arrived, front staff could not find my reservation, then insisted no other guests from my party had arrived. Both were mistakes on their part. No apology or explanation ever given. Then after waiting over 40 mins for our food waiter comes to apologize and says "Can I get you some bread in the meantime?" We say "sure". When bill comes, $4 charge for bread WTH??!? Food seriously overpriced now.
Service outstanding. Table location nice and quiet.
Great food, great service, and a great table ! Thanks again.
Dinner while touring the city, convenience factor was fantastic as it’s right inside the hotel. The atmosphere, food selection, and service was high level, we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and experience...
Great service. We both had perfectly cooked mouth melting black cod and king crab meat.
Outstanding meal and exceptional service by all! Made our evening very enjoyable!
higher than the average level of a hotel-affiliated restaurant, good steak with nice medium-rare. The seafood tower is smaller than my exception a bit but still fresh and generous.
It was first class. Waiter was very good. Food was amazing.
Food was outstanding as was the service.
It’s a shame they can’t have a dress code as the service staff was better dressed than many of the customers.
We enjoy fine dining and dressing for the occasion. This is a very nice establishment with a suggested dress code of business casual.
Unfortunately many customers dressed like they had just been working in their yards!
Great experience detracted somewhat by shorts, tee shirts, dirty jeans etc.
Very nice atmosphere, the chef wasn’t satisfied about the tuna he cooked for me and prepared another and offered a free shrimp cocktail in meantime. Service also was very professional, as it should be in such a nice place.
Our second visit. Last hear we came for our anniversary dinner which wass really excellent. This year decided to come for anniversary lunch to avoid rush hour traffic. Downtown construction was almost as bad. Staff were excellent, unobtrusive but efficient. Little disappointed in the tortilla soup...it was tasty but felt I might be eating the previous day's days left overs. The chowders were well liked. Excellent lobster Cobb salad but would have preferred chunks of lobster rather than crumbled.. no complaints about the club sandwich or beef dip. French fries were excellent.
If we came again we would come for dinner, not so sure about lunch.....though the fish and chips being served at another table looked tempting.
Nice restaurant. Had the daily special which was tasty but small portions. My companion had the club sandwich which was also good and generous portions
