It was a great atmosphere and service was terrific. Our steaks were perfect and the scalloped potatoes were very good!

We shared the seafood tower, a salad and crab cake with a bottle of wine. We were there for pre theatre...wondered why we had a table with no tablecloth on the side while other diners had a properly set table. Also hv yet to receive my opentable pts??

Waiting time for receiving the entree was way too long, 1 hour & 15 minutes, which is kind of unusual for a good name restaurant.

Elegant seafood and steak restaurant that is popular but quite large so you can get a table almost anytime. Delicious, fresh food. Good wine.

We went for my 30th birthday party I have been to the shore club in ottawa and it was amazing. I was very disappointed in the service we received. We ordered 4 bottles of wine and they do not keep the bottles at the table we sat with empty glasses most of dinner, our server forgot some of our a la carte sides, and was very rude. I will not be returning to this location.

From the moment we sat down at our table, my boyfriend and I were treated like royalty. And i’m pretty certain that’s the norm at The Shore Club. Our waiter, Lou was fantastic. Lovely, funny and knowledgeable, he made sure our time in his care was perfect. The food and wine was delicious. It was the perfect evening to celebrate my boy friend’s birthday. A huge thank you to The Shore Club for being awesome.

Went there for a special date night with my partner and we got Lou the server and honestly he made the whole $200 plus meal totally worth it he went above and beyond to make my boyfriend feel special on his special night and I was beyond amazed! The food was okay but service made it worth everything and more

Awful food - took three times to get a steak right. Amazing service. This equals poor management. Never going back. Better value in the city.

Louis our server forgot all about us! He owned-up to it, but nonetheless I had to seek a server after 10 minutes as a 60 minute lunch hour can go by quickly. Very surprised by this oversight and felt that the calibre of the ShoreClub should always be exemplary. Was it a one off? Perhaps. Going back in another couple of weeks to see if this is the case.

I came here for a birthday dinner with my special other. Best food I’ve ever had. The service was over the top, they had a special secluded table for us as per request, they included a cute little happy birthday card from the shore family. Champagne on the house for the occasion. My waiter Monty was the most amazing waiter I’ve ever had, he was very attentive to our questions and our table. He refreshed our plates and cutlery after appetizers and mains. He explained the whole main very eloquently and we were more than satisfied. He laughed with us and noted he wouldn’t embarrass us with a happy birthday song, very funny as my significant other hates these surprise songs. 11/10 I will most definitely be back here.

My husband and I had been meaning to try The Shore Club for some time now and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to go after watching a musical on the weekend, so I made advanced reservations. The ambience: intimate, dark and romantic. We ordered drinks and we ordered from the Summerlicious menu, adding on the house bread as an extra appetizer. The herb-seasoned artisanal bread, quality olive oil, along with what I believe was truffle butter, were delicious--it was an excellent start. The Ahi Tuna Tartare and Chilled Heirloom Tomato + Red Pepper Gazpacho were standard fare (good, but not as spectacular as that bread and butter) and my Atlantic Salmon entree was just fine. My husband's Manhattan Striploin In Classic Bearnaise, was very rich. He can appreciate a Bearnaise sauce, but found this one to seemingly taste like it was nothing but pure butter. His Key Lime Pie slice was also very rich, and resembled more of a heavy cheesecake in texture and weight, so he was all buttered-out, in an uncomfortable food coma after his meal. My Ice Cream Sandwich was both unexpected and challenging to eat. The description didn't mention that it would be drenched in a blueberry compote sauce, but this unconventional presentation, I didn't mind. It was the fact that the 2 lemon sugar cookies flanking the French Vanilla gelato, were so very hard, my fork wasn't able to permeate them. At all. Overbaked and likely further chilled to a crisp, shocked by the cold gelato they were bordering, the cookies were sadly, an undeniable fail. I ultimately had to deconstruct the dessert and eat the gelato and berry sauce, without the promise of the sandwich formation, I had so looked forward to.

Went here for my birthday dinner. I originally wanted to go to this restaurant because they were offering a summerlicious menu. However, after I asked to see this menu the service went downhill. It was obvious the waiter did not want us to order off of the menu or else he wouldn't get a large enough tip.

we always considered this restaurtant as our ultimate place to go. This meal will be the one we would like to forget. Bread at table was charged, new policy. Fries where noted as steak frites but showed at table worse than fast food variety. Wasabi compliment had been like a paste with no heat. Seafood tower proved to be tasteless. For value of food versus taste,it ranked poor. We lost faith!

Summerlicious (as well as Winterlicious) is a good time to enjoy a meal here. I have been several times, even outside of the "cheapie" seasons. For a modern restaurant, it is very classy and elegant. The ceiling is high. Tables, except for the booths, have tablecloths - something that is becoming rare these days. Even more rare is real silver cutlery so this is appreciated at The Shore Club. The food, as always, is very good and the service is excellent. It can be very noisy at night because of the bar which is always full. But lunch is much quieter and the background "music" is quieter as well and therefore isn't offensive. They have recently started charging extra for bread with your meal, which is a bit cheeky. It was excellent, though, and worth the $4.00.

I just had lunch at Shore Club today with my brother and it was such a disappointment!! (again!!!) I had the Spinach Salad, he had the Tuna Tartar and both our appetizers were too salty!! We're too polite to complain about it so we just ate it as we were already hungry. Then came the main course, my brother said his Vegetable Risotto was undercooked! He had me try it to confirm and true enough the rice was still raw and hard! This time we complained about it to the waiter and asked to get it replaced. He did replace it but it took sooo long and portions of it were still undercooked although it's a little better than the first one. The Blackened Salmon I had was no better either, the size was too small compared to the ones I had at other restaurants. Then the desserts were served and my brother said his Butter Tart was way too sweet it's like eating sugar! I like sweets but I don't want it too sweet like that! If they had reduced the sugar on their desserts, we would have liked it.

This was my brother's first time at The Shore Club and I really regret bringing him there. I only did because they are located in the building where I work so it's very close. I felt so bad and embarrassed that he did not enjoy his lunch there. Every time I bring people there I always end up disappointed and embarrassed for either the food or their service. I don't recall ever having a satisfying experience at Shore Club at all! I still come back to give them another chance to make it right, but it never happened so perhaps it's time to stop and scratch this restaurant off my dining list.

Incredible service by Monte. Went above and beyond to make Birthday celebration spectacular. Complimentary bubbles and coconut truffles were a perfect addition to a special birthday dinner and trip to Toronto from Vancouver. Will definitely come back next time in Toronto.

Food good but not worth the price. Waiters repeatedly attempted to take our food away before we were done, very strange. Fries were very overdone. Shouldn’t be called a seafood restaurant if they don’t offer lobster as a main course! Coconut cream pie excellent.

The food was sooo good. Fresh oysters were to die for. Drinks were excellent, I loved the Berry Bliss with fresh blueberries. Popcorn shrimp also really good. My husband had a New York steak with peppercorn sauce and I had Salmon with fresh salsa. Delish. Our waiter was super nice and great service (Monty). Beautiful restaurant and relaxed atmosphere.

We were in for my parents anniversary. Our server, Liz was mostly on point across the board from the time we were seated at 6pm. However, after our starters, our entrées took 30 minutes to hit the table and the chef sent out a mid-course before our main (which is sometimes a tactic to buy time if food is running long). This is an incredibly long pickup time, which caused us to rush our meals and skip dessert in order to make our 8pm show. This put a real damper on the experience especially when I made very clear to the reservationist when making the reso, and to the host when arriving that we were on a timeline and had to be out by 7:45pm. I also would have expected the server ask our table about allergens, so we received a mid course and a comp dessert that some guests couldn’t eat.

Went there Thursday night for a birthday. Here's my assessment:

- For a downtime upscale, Up-price place its great (if you don't care what the bill is)
- The food was excellent, superb crab cake
- Some of the portions were great, lamb, salmon, very decent
- Some items, especially apetizers, were insanely overpriced for the portion size
- A few very small legs of King crab as a side was over $40. It was NOT 1/2 pound as stated, l would say under 1/4 pound. So they really skimp on portion size for the money. Muscles were small. One crabcake was $21 and although it was fabulous, it was hugely overpriced.
- I truly enjoyed the diner from a quality standpoint. If you don't care about the bill (I mean really don't care) then by all means you'll get a quality meal.

Our overall assessment was, great meal, hugely overpriced, enjoyed the evening but would go elsewhere for better value for the money.

Also, service was perfect, huge attention to detail and class.

We were in Toronto for several days and asked the concierge (Marriott Rogers Center) to recommend a restaurant within walking distance. The service and food were excellent. We are from NC - USA and found The Shore Club to be the only upscale restaurant we visited that brewed ice tea. That was a treat. Their menu was extensive and everyone was pleased with their meal.

I was entertaining a friend from out of town who had not been to the Shore Club. I didn't know they had removed the Salmon Wellington (my favourite) from the menu. We then said we would have crab cakes and they said they were "out".

Will phone ahead next time to make sure crab cakes were available.

Love the Shore Club but unfortunately do not eat meat.

Our group of 4 arrived at 6:00 PM prior to a concert at Roy Thomson Hall at 8:00 PM. The waiter, Sean assured us that we had plenty of time. Well, we did not get our main courses until 7:20 which didn’t leave enough time for coffee or dessert. Also, we had ordered sparkling water and the waiter kept on filling up our glasses even though they were not empty. So we were surprised to see $21.00 for water - most of which was left on the table. Every other good restaurant asks if you want more water if it is not complimentary. The halibut wrapped in prosciutto was soggy and overdone and the tuna appetizer was full of fibres. The other meals were good.
Overall disappointed with the service and quality of food for the price.
