We had a lovely time here. Service was excellent, very engaging. Food was delicious, fresh, well prepared and plated beautifully. Have already recommended to others and will return.
We had an amazing time! Our waiter was Anton and he really made the experience extra!!!
My girlfriend and I attended The Sultan's Tent and we were amazed at the décor and ambience. Our server was well versed with the menu and greatly assisted us with our choices. The food and service were exceptional. Of course the belly dancer shows were amazing to watch. Overall, we both had an amazing time and will return in the future. Thank you for an outstanding evening!
The Sultan's Tent was everything it's been marketed to be. One downside to our experience was that in spite of having booked 2 weeks in advance, our party of 4 were seated at a table that was practically in the hall. It felt like we were an after-thought, like we were overflow –– which put a bit of a damper in the over-all experience as we were expecting to be under the tented area as assured by the person that confirmed our booking a few days prior to our reservation. This aside, the food, ambiance and service were great.
It was a nice once in my lifetime experience. The waitress was very nice and accommodating.
The food was sub-par. For apps, I had the cauliflower and my husband, the coconut shrimp. He liked his. Mine, was boiled, bland cauliflower. For entree's we both had lamb. He had the shank, and I paid the extra $11 for the rack. So much regret. I asked for medium-rate, it was well. The rack was not trimmed, so the small portion was made smaller, but having huge portion of, I don't even know, something hard and uncut-able.
The food was terrible, but most everything else was nice. The belly dancer, danced for 15 mins. I went in there thinking it was a group of them that dance, but it was only one, and you miss most of it, from the many pillars and obstructions anyways.
All in all, it was nice for a one and only time. I would not go again, or recommend, unless you have money to burn.
Phenomenal customer service. One can tell they are very experienced at taking care of people from the greeting, free coat check, servers , dancers, and even the manager who makes sure you are happy and checks in with everyone at their tables in a very polite quiet way so as not to disturb your evening. This place has been around for decades and it’s because they know what they are doing. Food was very good and presented very nicely. Plus it was hot unlike some places. A lot of wonderful happy customers enjoying themselves were scattered all about . Dancer was beautiful and talented as she moved around. Great place for a celebration. Lastly the Moroccan Mint Tea in a decorative silver tea pot poured for us in a beautiful artistic way was a lovely way to end the dinner.
Everything was wonderful. The bellydancer was really good but we felt she had too many tables to go to. It would have been nice to have two or three bellydancers. It was hard to see her because of people in the way. I don't think one is enough.
great service, food excellent . ambiance was great. we had a lovely time. our taxi came too quickly because we were having a good time
The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant but when we went over for dinner on Sunday night it was almost empty. That felt a bit weird.
The food wasn't good and definitely not authentic. We got the 3 course deal and for mains we ordered tajine with lamb and vegetarian tajine. The rice was already inside the tajines and the dishes were very dry. Desserts were disappointing especially halva . The Marrocan tea was very good. Belly dancing performance was fine.
Personally I wouldn't go back, but if they improve the food it will be a great place to go for a dinner.
The service was very slow. We have been here 2 previous times and the food quality and value have changed. For the quantity of food was a little less than it used to be but still good.
Server room way too long to take order, and come back after our meal was finished. We sat waiting for a good 40 minutes and another server had to check on us.
A wonderful & memorable birthday event. My family & I enjoyed the experience & personal touch. Tasty, exotic & engaging. It brought back fond memories of my adventure to Fez in Morocco. Amazing to share that with my family right here at home in Toronto. Cheers! Scott
A little crowded. We had a table for four and 1 guest had to sit on a very floppy chair.
Amazing service, terrific food. What a magical night. We all loved it and will absolutely be back!
Great food and ambiance. Belly dancing show is also worth the prefixed menu. Would return.

I have been here many times before. This was first time attending during a week night. It was still nice, but if you are looking for the more energy, go on the weekend. Friends from out -of -town joined me and it was their first time there. They loved their meals and had a nice time overall. The show was a little hard to see as the dancer was not in easy view from our tented area and we could not hear her dancing (no hip scarf with cymbals or finger-cymbals). Still fun though. Our waitress was phenomenal - very attentive, articulate and witty.
Will recommend only for experience.Food is quite bland and not to my taste. But some people might like it.Great hospitality. Not value for money at all ..
Our bill for two people came out at $196 including tips and taxes but enjoy the food much especially the mains.Entre was okay..Mains and Desserts dont have great options.Oasis treat dessert was nothing but a fruit plate.Place is way overpriced for food and ambience.
Great space. Entertaining, beautifully decorated. Only thing that refrains me from giving it 5 stars would be the lack of music and the fact that my server got my order incorrect and my party table was separated. Disappointed because I wanted the group to be connected throughout the experience.
Unfortunately, this restaurant did not live up to my expectations at all. Our server was impatient, forgetful and frankly quite rude. The food was nothing spectacular and MUCH too overpriced. The belly dancing show was good but difficult to see from where we were seated. I would not go back to this restaurant.
The service, food, cocktails and belly dancing is so amazing. Loved the whole vibe of the place. The manager and our server made sure we had the best experience as we were celebrating a birthday. Thank you for everything will be recommending this place to everyone.
Spectacular from the moment you arrive.
Service to quality to the show were very entertaining.
Manager went out of his way to make sure we had fun.
Will be back ,next time with a bunch more people.
Now one of or top ten restaurants in Toronto
Amazing ambiance. The waiters are super friendly and professional. the belly dance show was very beautiful. Highly recommend it.
Service between meals was long
We were told to get there by 9:10pm which we did, when our reservation was for 9:30 we got there on time and were told to sit by the bar, we ordered couple of drinks which was amazing btw (Moroccan mojito, the bartender was excellent). We stayed seated at the bar till 9:35pm because apparently our table was not ready. When we got there our table was obviously ready and many people who came after us who probably booked for the same time were seated first. Had to ask the hostess twice for our table, the 3rd time she was like “your table is ready now”. The belly dancing was entertaining of course, the violin bit lasted a bit too long but was still okay. The food was good, chicken tagine was great. Our server was great however it took quite some time to get our food. All in all it was a good experience, I’d recommend this place for a first date or if you’re looking for some dinning while you’re entertained experience.
Amazing all the way around, great food, great service, awesome entertainment. Love it 😍
Thank you so much for your kind words, Opentable. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Cheers, The Sultan's Tent and Cafe Moroc
Our server Mamoun (I'm sorry for spelling) was wonderful and attentive and thoughtful. The food was good.
I was very displeased with the hostess or whomever is responsible for callouts for the upcoming reservations. I don't know anything about this restaurant or seating arrangement, I'm trying it for the first time for Winterlicious. I was pleased that they did do a callout to confirm the reservation but 2 hours prior I was busy in the mall and their call was very brief. They called to confirm my reservation and then they asked me where I wanted to be seated, except they leaded it with "will you be sitting at the cafe?" I said "I don't know, wherever guests for Winterlicious are permitted to sit?" I don't know if there's an exclusive area, a designated area, or an area I have to pay extra for, that would've been the time to tell me but instead they tell me "the cafe it is then." I show up and find out there's a beautiful section of the restaurant that is "all booked up" and they pointedly said "that's why we called you earlier to confirm." No. You called earlier and pushed me into an area I did not want when I was clearly uninformed and confused when you called.
This was our first time at the Sultan’s Tent and I was not disappoint! From the amazing food to authentic ambience, it was definitely a night to remember. The belly dancing show during dinner was the highlight of our experience. Special thanks to our server and the amazing manager Medhat who were very accommodating and helpful! Highly recommend!

It's a nice place, and the service is good. On the downside, the restrooms have that Toronto sewage smell. I have an allergy to almonds and avoided the entree with almonds, to my surprise, mine still came out with them, even though it was not a listed ingredient. The server was super great about getting me one without them though.
Ambiance was well done. Food yummy, and the dancing great. The place was very clean.
We spent my partner’s birthday here, the food was AMAZING the ambiance was also super cozy and warm and different. The cocktails were particularly delicious. HOWEVER, I looked through their website to make sure we wont miss the belly dancing show, and it stated it starts at 7:30 PM on weekdays and did not say anything about how it’s only for 30 minutes! This was a huge disappointment for me as the information was I believe so intentionally hidden on the website that no one could find. Also, we had the dessert with the candle around 9ish and our amazing waitress did sing happy birthday with us, but it was so different than the other happy birthdays I saw during the evening (lol). They had multiple waiters sing it together which made it a lot more fun. I guess 9 pm is somewhat too late for this restaurant.
I recommend everyone to book early if you wanna eat here, like anytime between 6:30 to 8:30. Cause after that the place just looks so quite.
It was all great we just waited a long time for our bill! Would come again and hope they see us waiting sooner :)
Thank you so much for your kind words, Canoe. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Cheers, The Sultan's Tent and Cafe Moroc
The Sultan's Tent has a very unique atmosphere, beautiful decoration which really reminded me Morocco. Lamb was outstanding and we had lot of fun with belly dancing. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The only one thing what they can improve a bit is Creme Brulee. For a few months what I am in Toronto it was the best restaurant.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Linda. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Cheers, The Sultan's Tent and Cafe Moroc
Excellent venue - great family atmosphere. Our server was attentive and even brought a cndle-lit birthday treat for our daughter. Highly recommend.
