The Sultan's Tent
Café Moroc is reminiscent of 1930s Casablanca with its cream colours, dark wood accents and giant palms. We have been an iconic destination "Where Toronto Celebrates" for over 28 years.
The Sultan's Tent offers only a 3-course Prix Fixe menu inside our Tented area where you enjoy a 30 minutes belly dance performance or an a La carte menu inside our Cafe Moroc or outside at the Patio.

Always a favourite since its opening! What a joy to return to such sumptuous delicacies and welcoming faces! Thank you - we’ll be back (hopefully with a shorter break!)
First timers! Our experience was better than anticipated! The appetizers were incredible and I really appreciate our servers knowledge of the menu, he made some excellent suggestions that we will definitely be coming back for. As well, we all loved the belly dancing show, such a fun and a uniquely, refreshing evening!
This place is quite entertaining and the food is delicious.
The show starts at 8pm, and can be as much fun as you make it. Clap, cheer and even dance yourself to make the experience more enjoyable and authentic. The food is great, especially the tajines, but the service is slow.
The Sultan’s Tent is a real treat. A belly dancing show in a unique environment with excellent service and delicious food!
Amazing place to dine
Great food and service
We went on the weekend and had to order from the prix fixe menu because it included the show. The show was great and all performers got the crowd to participate. The entree however didn’t arrive until a little over an hour. We didn’t mind as much since we weren’t starving when we arrived.
Our waiter (Chris I believe his name was) was amazing. Just based on his service alone I would go back.
Service was great...belly dancer show was great...food not that great...
Must go for experience that's all not the food
Very nice! We dined on the fixed price menu and the food was delicious. Good portions too! Then we got a belly dancing show. Well worth it!
Great place to celebrate a special event. The ambiance, food and service were excellent. Be sure to go for the bellydance show as it is really well done. I have already recommended it to several friends!
This is my 5th time at this restaurant and every single time I've been here have been nothing but fantastic, amazing and wonderful. Does that sum it up for you? The food is fantastic, the belly dancers are incredible and the service is impeccable.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!!
The restaurant called the day off to confirm my reservation and to tell me that we would only have the option of the set menu ($55 worth). The food was mediocre for the price and the belly dancing show is barely 15 minutes long. You’d expect to get a good meal for such a large price but some of the meat options are subject to an extra charge. It’s a costly night for an average time.
The service, ambiance, and food were outstanding, but I found it a bit overpriced. For two people we spent almost 240$. That said, with the fix priced menu we were very full, which is hard in Toronto when going to places as beautiful as this one!
Though The Sultan's Tent provides a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff, the food was overpriced for the quality, and the service was incredibly slow. Two adults and two children cost nearly $270. We wanted to order the steak, but they were out by 7:15, so we had to choose other items. The food was just ok. Mac and cheese was dry, chicken overcooked, and the tajine and stew though filling were somewhat bland. We waited a very long time between drinks and appetizers and even longer for mains. Our server was incredibly hospitable though and the belly dancing, fun.
Food was fabulous, belly dancing was fun to watch. Lovely evening
Great food and service, dancers and experience! Highly recommend.
Great service, good food and a lovely unique place. Belly dancing show was fun to watch. Great place to celebrate a special night as it was a $55 prix fixe menu plus alcohol (about $20 per drink and they did not skimp on alcohol-very strong drinks). Nice to dress up. Food was good in the way it was presented and served hot. Very tasty too!!
Great experience and service.
Thank you for making my husband birthday celebration memorable.
Best birthday’s celebration ever !!! Thank you sultan :)
This place is a must see when in Toronto it’s a great experience, the food and service is excellent
Absolutely fantastic service and food! Setting and ambience were also just sublime!
Good ambiance for a special celebration. The waiters are knowledgeable and can recommend foods to try. The show is amazing and the dancers are truly a gem. The food is mediocre, so come here with little expectation for food. A great experience for birthdays and special occasions
Unique experience and a reasonable price. We had an unforgettable time.
Wonderful experience overall…
Place and atmosphere was amazing, we could all have a conversation and hear each other without shouting. Noise level was perfect. Food was finger licking good. Dominic was an amazing server.
Very nice place, food was fantastic. I will definitely return to watch the belly dance another day. Hello
Great staff and atmosphere. Food was delicious
We had a very enjoyable time here. The waiter Dominic was very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the decorations very much. The seafood tajine was very delicious. The dancer was very good at making this an entertaining night out.
The atmosphere and theming of the restaurant is great - it really does transport you off to Morocco. We sat in the “café” area of the restaurant where you order from the à la carte menu. The food was delicious, especially the Maftoul, Eggplant Zaalouk, Merguez Tajine and Meatball Tajine. The service was professional, friendly and attentive. I highly recommend The Sultan’s Tent & Café Maroc.
Wonderful place with great food, ambience and lovely staff. Belly dancing was awesome!!
Amazing food and service. Have eaten here many times before.
Took one star away, as they served a terrible hummus - no flavour and too watery. It's staple in every middle Eastern household!
traditional fusion of food, drink, dance entertainment and ambience all done very well! Wait staff are very friendly and welcome you in with warm hospitality, making this restaurant a fun night out every time you visit.
Overpriced food which came in very small portions. Good ambience and service. Would not recommend this place.
Food was great, staff amazing, cozy Moroccan style, very authentic
The quality of food is good but the quantity is very small, it was 4 of us, we paid $350.00 (a bottle of wine is included) we end up getting more food at home because the quantity was very small.
So much fun! I loved the belly dancing show. Great ambience and value when you factor in the “admission” of the show into the prix fixe menu (one thing I wasn’t aware of- you won’t be able to watch the show if you opt for the a la carte menu). The food was great- not outstanding, but quite tasty. The chocolate cake slice I got for dessert was humongous
The food was tasty but nothing to write home about. Felt a bit basic but good. Merguez tagine and seafood tagine was tasty but filled with green yellow And red peppers. It felt like a filler. The baklava was delicious and fresh. I would go back if it were someone’s bday but not on my own accord.
Celebrated my husbands birthday and it was amazing !! The food , the service and the belly dance show. Had a great time !! Thanks
The food was authentic and delicious, could’ve been a bit warmer when delivered but very good still. The servers were all attentive and the dancers and drummers were interacting with us at our table and were very entertaining. Prince, our main server, was great and knowledgeable about the bar items. We will definitely be coming back again!
