This is the first time that we have been to the Windsor Arms for High Tea. It was a beautiful experience in every way. We loved it. Thank you to our server & everyone behind the scenes. D & S in Toronto

The dairy free offering was requested for one attendee, however, several of the dessert items provided had dairy (mousse, chocolate truffles). No dairy alternative for the tea was offered (i.e. almond or soy milk) - we had to requested when the server made herself available. Gluten bread was provided, which was not necessary and also extremely dry and stale. Gluten free scones were provided (note we indicated a dairy not gluten allergy), which was very crumbly. Finally, the server failed to provide an explanation of all the "dairy" free dessert offerings - which in hindsight we realized because they actually included dairy.

In the regular offering, the tuna and green pesto paste was not very tasty or appealing. Again, the bread was very dry and stale.

Normally when we have high tea at the Tea Room, we are provided with individual sized tongs. This time we were provider with server sized utensils.

Overall, the offering (excluding the tea which was excellent) was meager - lacking in quality and quantity.

Went for high tea the sandwiches were stale and dry. Turkey sandwich was processed meat not fresh. Took a friend for her birthday and was embarrassed by the quality of food. The table beside us felt the same way... it is too bad it was a lovely place for high tea in the past.

Fantastic service, and I love the decor. Wasn't a huge fan of some sandwiches but the overall experience definitely made up for it!

Great afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. Food was delicious as always and the service incredible. Just a little pricey, but definitely a nice choice for a special occasion.

The food and service were both very good. My only comment would be to offer a couple of alternatives for the sandwiches and savoury tarts.

It was hard to get our waitresses attention. Tea was spectacular. Scones and deserts were delicious - sandwiches are an acquired taste!

I took my future daughter in law and booked Monday, Dec 30th. Unfortunately they charged $60 per person, and I tipped the waitress. When I got home, I double checked and the website clearly states $40 per person Monday to Thursday.

I’ve written Windsor Arms requesting a gift card for the over-charge of $40 in total but as of yet have had no response to my email Until this is resolved, I am not happy with the circumstances

Absolutely the most disappointing experience. We had an awful server who kept harassing us every 5 min reminding us that it was a 2 hr seating from the moment we walked in. We made a reservation for 10 guests and everyone at table was upset as how unwelcoming and rude the server was. She even accused us of not paying the full bill when we all had our own individual proof of receipts. She ruined the experience and the birthday we were celebrating.

The food does not taste like it was made in-house. The scones are so crumbly they are impossible to eat. The jams taste like Smuckers. The servers had a grand time chatting with each other loudly. All in all, very disappointed.

Overpriced at $65 per person for the quality and quantity of food. One person in the party is lactose-intolerant and although she received her own tray of food, the bread was dry. The rest of the food and tea was of reasonably good quality, just not worth the expensive $220 for 3 people before tip.

We have been to many high teas and this one, despite lots of online hype around it being the best in TO, would be at the bottom of the list. PROS: tea itself was excellent; savory tart was yummy and server was good; CONS: sandwich bread didn't taste fresh and fillings were skimpy; scones, which should fall apart into slightly smaller chunks, actually crumbled into tiny pieces; general food quality/quantity didn't seem in keeping with the price; the room was cold and so loud that our table of 5 could hardly hear each other in conversation.

The absolute lightest, richest scones I have ever encountered in any high tea in Toronto, and they are happy to provide extra creme fraiche. Very attentive service. Exquisite tea.

Overly expensive, $25/person sir charge for holiday season, stuffy, stale bread, not adventurous, ut of touch with the times- especially for a great High Tea experience which this should have been.

We went to high tea. Te menu said it would cost $40.00 but the bill said $65 dollars each because it was the holiday season!!! The scones were dry and crumbly. It is a poor excuse for high tea.

Beautiful tea room and the Windsor hotel is fabulous. The quiche was excellent but the sandwiches were stale and the desserts were a variety of plain tiny squares. Nothing special. No wow factor. It was very similar to a church tea however the cost was $65 per person, more expensive in the Christmas season. Disappointing. I hope the chef gets inspired.

The overall experience of the Tea Room was lovely. The server was very good but seemed a little overwhelmed with the size of the section. The larger of the two rooms (where we were seated) was strangely over lit and, in spite of the drink offerings on the menu, were informed that we couldn’t have the drink of choice since the bar wasn’t “fully open.” Pretty minor stuff really. Keep in mind that the standard afternoon tea is VERY pricey so be prepared for a large bill.

The tea is very good but there is never enough cream served to go with the scones (1 pot for 4 large scones!!!) -- I would suggest a pot per person would be fairer! When one orders extra there is a $4 charge per pot which is daylight robbery.

Surge pricing for Christmas but no Christmas Themed pastries or decorations to justify the extra $15. Per person. Sandwiches were not 100% fresh. Service is attentive and friendly.

We were quite rushed to order our tea by our server in the beginning. After paying our bill we were chatting and then told our table was needed despite another table of 4 being empty for over 30 min in the same room but not cleared. Food and tea were fine.
