I love how quiet it was. The service was very good. The options for the food was ok. It is not worth 75 dollars. Loaded on scones on the first tier and less options on the other two tiers. Too much bread. Mix it up with veggies to wrap sandwiches, etc,
The decor and ambience of the Tea Room was so enchanting. The service was attentive and professional. Looking forward to visiting again soon
Incredible experience! One of my favorite things I’ve ever done in Toronto.
Very bad. Overpriced. Service was good. However, overall ambience and food was terrible... don't go here.
Nice selection but definitely paying for the ambiance.
Excellent service and great food, well worth the treat!
Lovely environment and high tea experience. Service and food were excellent. Would visit again.
Charming hotel. Charming tea room. Close to subway . Easy to get to. Enjoyed the scones the most. Great tea selection. Well done
The food was all stake, bread for sandwiches was hard. They gave us the wrong tea.
The vibe was nice with the decor but it wasn't well maintained. Bathrooms in poor condition. Looks like an old hotel that wasn't kept up
Took a friend out for afternoon tea at the Windsor Arms and we had a great time! The food was good and the quantity of snacks was more than enough for 2 people. A great selection of teas as well and great service.
Decor is very nice and cozy! Défini recommend!
Not enough attention by server throughout. Price on website was incorrect. Cost had increased by $15 and was only notified when confirming booking 48 hrs ahead. Website should be updated.
Went for high tea as a birthday treat with my mother. Service and scones were were good. Unfortunately the price for high tea went up from $40 per person to $55 per person from the day I made my reservation on Nov 2 (as advertised on their website) to the day we went for high tea Nov 8. So I received an unpleasant surprise when they brought the bill. There was no manager to help sort things out and I have not received a response from Windsor Arms requesting they bill me for the price advertised on their website when I booked.
They need to update the music selection. It can still be refined but not quite as stuffy and predictable.
Beautiful venue but less food for what you're paying compared to other afternoon tea locations
High tea was lovely. Service was excellent, we were disappointed some of our sandwiches were on breads that were out in the air far too long. We had our sitting at 2:30 perhaps next time we will book earlier so we get soft fresh breads.
Service was great. Food was disappointing. Left with a upset stomach.
I was charged 15$ more per person than advertised on their website. I was treating a friend for her birthday and did not feel it was appropriate to contest the bill in the moment. I emailed the hotel afterwards to inquire, and have not received an acknowledgement or response more than a week later. Despite this, my friend and I had a lovely time.
The quality of food was substandard for the price.
Excellent time! So helpful and lovely. They were able to make me a whole gluten free menu which was so wonderful.
We were seated next to serving table in a half full restaurant. We felt like we were part of the service team rather than patrons. Servers were having full conversations next to us. It was an awful experience.
Didn’t enjoy the high tea. Everything was very dry
From the moment we entered till we were done was an unbelievable and memorable experience! The customer service was impeccable and even did a cute birthday surprise for my friend. All the little details from the teacups to the seating felt as if we were dining with the Queen of England. Would definitely do this again!
Negatively surprised about the dry bread and extremely little filling used in mini sandwiches. At the point that buns and filling would not stick to each other as one item. They would fall apart before reaching our plate. Mini croissant the same issue; very dry. Petit fours, tea and jams were good. Tip was already as per default 18% on total, on which you need to add Tax. So think about approx $50 p/p during week day. Also make sure which room you want to reserve; Dark purple tea room or light green foyer tea room. Another negative point, my tea cup was badly scratched and there were 2 big holes in my cotton napkin. For this price and this kind of Hotel, I was not expecting to see this. Service was good.
Scones let me baking powder biscuits. Sandwiches were too big, not tasty and clumsily made. Smoked salmon sandwiches, however, were fine. Croissants are not sandwiches. Service and ambience were excellent, as was low noise level. Would not recommend, however, except for ambience.
A beautiful array of tea type goodies all pretty to look at and delicious. My friend and I couldn’t eat it all so we both took home the extras. Service was excellent! I used a groupon and added a glass of wine and mimosa. Sadly when I tipped 20% it only put the amount on the overage and not on the groupon amount as well. I had no cash and felt very badly because the service was outstanding. I will definitely return. A great place to treat a friend, or have a date with your partner💕
Lovely way to celebrate a special birthday. Traffic was terrible and we were late. However, they were gracious and accommodating. When there are large groups it can be very loud but we asked to be move to another room and they did. Sparkling wine, yummy treats all in celebration of my Mom’s 92nd birthday!
Our experience, my 17-year-old daughter and I, was excellent. The very kind and patient staff treated us very well in an elegant but not stuffy at all atmosphere. There are some very endearing features of the experience – women's style hats may be borrowed for a charity donation of 5 dollars – and a table next to ours had indulged. While the decor is more London, Ontario than London, UK, and not all the crustless sandwiches spectacular, more than enough were, the scones lovely, clotted cream and jams perfect, and the petit fours were very pretty.
Terrible tasteless food. Service was mediocre. Food was disappointing
Excellent food and atmosphere, and outstanding service
Expected the traditional/original Devonshire Cream, not some new version. The sandwich bread was stale. You obviously can’t go wrong with tea. I will say that the scones were delicious. Other than that, extremely dussapointing
Rather pricey. Sitting inside is better atmosphere. Food ok, tea very nice. Excellent service!
Make sure you bring proof of vaccination.
Perfect afternoon. Lots of delicious good and great ambience
Wonderful experience and fantastic service!
Having never experienced afternoon tea, my husband and I weren't sure what to expect, but our server, Nakul, was so extremely helpful, carefully talking us through our choices, and he even steered me away from choosing a tea that I probably wouldn't have liked. I'm thankful he did because it would have affected the entire experience.
My husband chose Tibetan Tiger, and I chose Earl Grey and Rose - they were amazing choices.
The food was exactly what we'd hoped it would be. I'd read some reviews prior to our visit, and I noticed many people complained about the food being dry, or stale - but that was definitely NOT the case. The scones were perfect (they were warm and crumbly, exactly how they should be), the sandwiches were so tasty and fresh, and the fruit preserves were amazing.
It was a truly unforgettable experience and my husband and I highly recommend The Tea Room. I hope to go back again soon!
Wonderful. The food was excellent and plentiful. I was quite full. Highly recommend.
Selection of sandwiches and cakes very plain. Scones very pale.
Are there any washrooms on ground level?
Beautiful atmosphere and tea rooms. Food wasn’t fresh, very dry sandwiches and service was very casual and non-attentive. Literally every table got an extra special something for their bdays and only our table did not. Quiet disappointed there all other Toronto afternoon tea places are better than this one for service
Was a nice treat for my niece and partner. We enjoyed the experience and left quite full, but much of the middle tray had normal bread that didn’t taste freshly made, but store bought. The scones and cream were fantastic. Desserts were nice,
But not outstanding.
I had my 70th birthday party in the tea room organized by my children a few years ago. It is my favourite place to go and I had the good fortune of going with my Mother often as well when she was alive. My Grandson wanted the experience so I took him. He loved it.
The only problem was that all the sandwiches except the salmon were all hard on the outside and really not edible. He packed them up because he was embarrassed to tell the waitress about the sandwiches and wouldn't let me tell her either.
Excellent service & attention to detail from the moment we sat down to when we left! Very enjoyable!
