The Teahouse Restaurant
One of Stanley Park’s historic seaside landmarks, this popular meeting spot is minutes from downtown Vancouver and boasts an outdoor fireplace on the restaurant’s patio, which looks out to sunset views of Georgia Strait from the western tip of Stanley Park.
For private events, the Teahouse has three distinct rooms; perfect for seminars, meetings or special occasions of any kind. Each room offers ocean views that are unmatched in Vancouver.
The Teahouse is a contemporary dining experience with a difference, accompanied by the longest sunsets in the city.

In the midst of the Covid-19 scare the staff at Tea House help me set up a small surprise late dessert night for my giflfriend and a few friends, with our reservation held at just an hour before closing time. They were incredibly accomodating, friendly, and gracious. When we walked in they were expecting us and were made the whole whole experience wonderful. Most of her friends had never been there and said they'd definiltey be back. Thank you Tea House!
Fabulous night out, great food, great service!
Amazing spot. Decidedly average food, which was a shame.
Anna was our server. She was spectacular. The food was excellent. The whole dining experience was top notch.
Everything is classic and charming over there. Service is also good. Great for special occasion or brunch. I just wish the dishes were more creative rather than the same old school stuff that they’ve been serving forever. A fantastic location but sometimes that can get the team a bit complacent from a culinary standpoint. Take some chances chefs. Live a little!
Oh my favourite Sable Fish!!! What happened to you on my special day:((
All else ..just wow!!!
This is our place for special occasions when we visit Vancouver for birthdays (we’re from Oregon). This, our third visit, finally was made when the spectacular view was visible. The view, added to the great food and excellent service, made a 77th birthday dinner memorable. The crab cake was large enough to share and not ruin our appetites for the lamb chops and seafood pasta dish. A particular treat was the surprise style of the Nanimo Bar. Their version was best I ever had, being a novel “unconstructed” effort. The finish, as was the last birthday we visited, the charming dessert “platter “ with the candle perched on the edge of the large triangular service plate. The Teahouse Restaurant is a great choice for a special place to make memories.
You can't beat The Teahouse for a beautiful atmosphere and view out to the water. The food is very good, if somewhat expensive, but at least you are savoring it.
Food was good, the service was excellent and it is a beautiful location and facility
Good view, nice place--very strange choice of music, a bit too rock-y, and way too loud. Thought food was overpriced for what it was.
I and my husband took our friends there for lunch because it was her birthday.
The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. Everyone at the restaurant was pleasant and friendly and I love the flowers on tables which was welcoming us. Our server was very friendly, efficient and made us comfortable. I thought Crab cake was a little bit salty. Mushroom caps were hit. Everyone loved to dip bread with the sauce. Everyone enjoyed dishes except me. I ordered Seafood Linguini which was very salty.
The service is sooo good.
Definitely recommend the truffle fries !
The service here was amazing and they couldn't have been more helpful ordering me a cab. Only downside was they brought my main as I was finishing my starter- not sure if this is a usual Canadian thing but unexpected
Birthday dinner and some of the meals came out cold.
A great place to go to celebrate a special occasion ie Birthday. The Cartrudery Board was a great start to the evening and the Sable Fish was amazing. It melted in your mouth.
We had a great lunch at the Tea House. Such a beautiful restaurant and location. Truly a Vancouver gem. Nick our waiter was amazing!!!
Overall is good
Always nice service, only a little busy and speed is slow.
Anna and Jason the host was friendly and accommodating.
So beautiful! The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. Would come back again for more!
Favourite place to eat. Many family celebrations or just the two of us. Enjoy a walk down to the beach
then a wonderful meal. Food and service outstanding. Ambience very special.
I truly would like to see more gluten free options on menus. Restaurants are good for the most part in omitting allergens from a dish, but my meal is somehow diminished.
Why not just make gluten free versions of dishes: honestly, it usually is just as good & many times it’s a better rush! Just saying... But I did have a nice brunch with my family & no cross contamination . Thank you
The food was great but the server disappeared and didn't give me all my courses that I paid for?
I cant say enough good things about "The Teahouse Restaurant".
Such a beautiful venue with amazing food.
The service was spectacular, they made our anniversary dinner extra special.
I will certainly be back!
A perfect balance of service: food to serving staff. Tempest knee exactly when to check in and when to give privacy. The food arrived quickly, as hot, well-portioned, and delicious.
One of Vancouver’s best locations! Beautiful views. Food was good, my rack of lamb was terrific. My partner’s duck confit was tasty, but a bit salty. Our antipasti plate was great. Of course, you pay extra for the location and the view.
Great food, wonderful room and our waiter Kyle was A++
Great place for a special dinner. Food is great, rated it 4 stars due to a steak that was undercooked. Our waitress was quick to have this resolved.
This was Valentine’s Day - so no big surprise that the restaurant would be full - they knew this beforehand, so cannot claim to be caught off guard - service was appalling - if we did not accost the server every time we wanted a drink - we would not have been asked. The food came out in the wrong order - meal before appetizers???
Not very impressed!
Promote them all, the waiters were fantastic and the food was amazing
Lovely ambience, great service, food was average as the Caesar salad was average and there was a long black hair in it.
Friendly and professional. Amazing view and quality food. Worth the trip
We were celebrating an important anniversary with long time friends. We understand it was Saturday and lunch time, but it was difficult to hear across the table. There was a wedding and two birthday celebrations so very noisy.
We have been to the Teahouse several times..perhaps mid week though. Never this noisy. The menu was also disappointing. There were very unusual choices with high prices ie waffles with duck confit, $25, crab cake benedict $29. It seemed as though the menu was an attempt to be trendy and geared for tourists.
Would we return...probably yes, as the ambiance is lovely and the view stunning. We would, however, go during the week and enjoy the "lunch" menu" which is much closer to what we were expecting. The server was great1
Very nice!! Great food and amazing view. Very nice staff too.
Phenomenal, the staff is amazing. Very caring about what we would enjoy the most. Gave us outstanding recommendations on what to eat.
always a wonderful and elegant treat. There is no location like it, the historical value is so wonderful and the experience is very satisfying.
Super yummy food for dine out vancouver. Servers were super kind and everything came in a timely manner. GM Jason is awesome and we love his attention to detail and he checks to make sure everything was going well. Would definitely come again!!!
Hadn’t been back to the Tea House for some, but it was as good as always. Coming from Abbotsford is a small price to pay for a special event, which it’s always been when we visit the Tea House, sometimes just the two of us, sometimes with our family which are now all grown.
