The Teahouse Restaurant
One of Stanley Park’s historic seaside landmarks, this popular meeting spot is minutes from downtown Vancouver and boasts an outdoor fireplace on the restaurant’s patio, which looks out to sunset views of Georgia Strait from the western tip of Stanley Park.
For private events, the Teahouse has three distinct rooms; perfect for seminars, meetings or special occasions of any kind. Each room offers ocean views that are unmatched in Vancouver.
The Teahouse is a contemporary dining experience with a difference, accompanied by the longest sunsets in the city.
Great views, great setting and great food. Great place to bring out-of-town guests or for a special occasion.
Love the location of the Teahouse but parking is ridiculous. You have to pay for parking within Stanley Park as the restaurant does not have its own designated parking. On a busy day, you could be driving around Stanley Park 2 or 3 times just to find parking to go to the restaurant.
The food was amazing but a bit overpriced. The ambiance was lively and welcomed children. The only down side was a LARGE spider above us that the waitress shrugged about. This is not acceptable in a dining establishment. I don't recommend killing it but removing it so guests don't freak out.
This lovely restaurant was recommended to us by a friend, and we were delighted with the food, service and atmosphere.
Great Service. Awesome views and good food. Definitely going back again.
Front of house staff accommodated our patio request.
Wait Service was below expectation.
• Server was slow to take drink order after we were seated at the table.
• Drinks did not arrive until after our appetizer arrived.
• One of our entrees did not arrive with the rest of the meals. We waited 5 minutes and then had to flag down the server to ask her when it was coming. When she came back, she informed us it was taken to another table in error and a new dish would be prepared. I was really quite disappointed that there was no offer by the server to remove the item from the bill.
Could have been an off day for her. It happens.
All else quite enjoyable.
My mother and I always enjoy coming here before we head to the Malkin Bowl to watch the theatre under the stars. The service is always amazing and the food and atmosphere is so enjoyable.
The food was somewhat below average but the location, view and ambiance made up for that.
I love The Teahouse Restaurant. It's a great combination of location and quality of food and service.
Excellent server....table as requested. Overall positive experience. My out of town guests were happy with this restaurant
Beautiful setting with good friends & good food!!
Another wonderful lunch at The Teahouse with our granddaughter! From the warm welcome from Lana at the front (she has remembered us by name every time we visit despite the months between our trips!) to our cheerful, professional server Kyle, to the always well-considered and well-executed menu, The Teahouse delights both returning guests and tourists alike - not an easy feat. Well done!!
had a wonderful meal at the tea house. the sunday night prime special was delicious. and kudos to Colin, our server, who was attentive and fun. we will be back
I had comments "sea view" in my booking. When we went restaurant, there were many great view tables available. But we were still arranged on a very poor view table.
Colin was a great waiter, ask for him! Food was good, atmosphere was fantastic. A nice walk on the beach after dinner made the night.
Although the food was good, the service was horrible starting with drinks. We had a party of six people (three couples on vacation in Vancouver). A waiter at previously visited restaurant recommended that we go to the Teahouse Restaurant because of its spectacular sunset views and dining. First, we ordered drinks-none of which were good, i.e. received gin and soda rather than gin and tonic, etc. Second, and most annoyingly, was the wait time for our ordered food and the wait time overall. We were in the restaurant for well over two hours. We waited for 20 minutes after eating our main course for anyone to visit our table. No one asked if we were interested in dessert or not until we called on a passing waiter to ask our waitress to visit. As I said, the food was good (not outstanding). But, the service was horrible for a restaurant of this caliber. We were offered many reasons for the poor service we received (having a wedding reception booked in another part of the restaurant that, obviously, superseded the attention we received and a newly hired bartender). Additionally, one member of our party was allergic to mushrooms and was unaware that mushrooms were included in the menu item he ordered. Mushrooms were not included in the description of the item on the menu. When he had a reaction and after we finally got the attention of the maître d' who informed us very curtly that it was the customers responsibility to let the wait staff know of any known allergies before even asking about the customers condition. We were compensated on our final bill for some of their shortcomings but the inattention and rudeness exhibited by the staff of the Teahouse Restaurant was very unacceptable to our group.
To expensive for the food and service level. Fine for tourists who want a destination restaurant and view.
Very nice open area seating. Service was very courteous and professional. Dinner was excellent. Commendable wine selections.. Would definitely return when we visit Vancouver again.
It was my husbands Birthday. We had a delicious meal. Wonderful service & stunning location. The Teahouse never disappoints.
Great location, beautiful setting in the park, water, mountains, awesome sun set.
Staff are very friendly, efficient, great food. Definitely will return and highly recommended.
I had no idea brussell sprouts could bring me such joy. Every bit of food was unbelievably delicious.
Great location on Stanley Park, food was ok but as two of us wanted the Salmon and at 7:15pm they had run out it was disappointing for us and another table.
Seemed other tables were more important but want to praise Ryan who was great.
Would I recommend visiting, yes but service is not only about how you welcome and seat guests it’s about the complete experience.
It was absolutely divine from the food, ambience and amazing views!
Great food, service, and atmosphere! Stanley Park is beautiful and this restaurant is a charming spot.
Lovely setting and service. Soup, salad quite bland. Salmon burger good.
Drove up from Portland, Oregon with my daughter for a Saturday lunch date. Wonderful food and service! Recommend to all visitors of Stanley Park or Vancouver, B.C. in general. Reservations got us seated immediately, even though we arrived 30 minutes later (longer than expected border crossing).
Good service ！
Always on our list of favorites when visiting Vancouver.
Above all, it was the last day celebration of my parents visiting Vancouver and we were unhappy with our visit. It even ruined it. I liked the food, but the main menu was served after 40 mins we had our appetizers. At the time I was served food I already lost my appetite. What made it worse was the noise level. I am usually tolerant of babies or big group guests as they were also having good time but this was not the case. Having them both nearby really made me tired. The baby was shouting right behind me while in front of me there was a big group gathering. I don’t blame the other guests, but do not understand the restaurant which gave us the seat in the middle of them. It’s not something you expect when you reserve a high end restaurant. I wish they could assign us to another room so that we could enjoy the food better. Overall, the food was okay but I wouldn’t come back especially if it is my special occasion. It wasn’t really worth spending that expense.
Wonderful day, beautiful scenery excellent food and service. I particularly loved the champagne cocktail with brandy xoxoxo
We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary over a nice dinner with a great view.
I have had sable fish before in Tea House and was excellent, but not this time. The fish was served with
the skin up and no taste to it, the seasoning was different.
Wonderful ambience and location, disappointing food that kept my stomach upset for hours after.
We took out of town friends for brunch and sat outside on the patio. Everything was outstanding, can’t say enough about the brunch at the Tea House.
31st wedding anniversary
Food was good but the Yorkshire pudding was over cooked / burnt
Service was great
Great setting, very attentive waiter and delicious food. I'd especially recommend the stuffed mushrooms, duck confit and Nanaimo dessert. My only negative comment is that I would have liked a few more wine choices on the wine list. Still, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to any Vancouver visitors.
We had excellent service from Mariah, the food was absolutely delicious and the view was breathtaking. Thank you!!!
Great service from our hostess who was very attentive and friendly!
We sat on the patio with a great view of the bay. Service was great as was the food. One person had breakfast and I had salmon at noon. It is a great place to visit.
We are on vacation and went to the Teahouse. It was absolutely beautiful & Tessa was our server. She was lovely & very professional.
