The Teahouse Restaurant
One of Stanley Park’s historic seaside landmarks, this popular meeting spot is minutes from downtown Vancouver and boasts an outdoor fireplace on the restaurant’s patio, which looks out to sunset views of Georgia Strait from the western tip of Stanley Park.
For private events, the Teahouse has three distinct rooms; perfect for seminars, meetings or special occasions of any kind. Each room offers ocean views that are unmatched in Vancouver.
The Teahouse is a contemporary dining experience with a difference, accompanied by the longest sunsets in the city.
The Teahouse is and always will be a favorite. Incredible setting day or night. Food is good and staff friendly and efficient.
Just so surprised how the quality of the food has gone very downhill since I last visited a few years ago. We had dinner for 4 people - the cost was over $300 and the food could not have been much worse (at that level) than it was. We ordered 1 salmon, 2 halibuts, and a steak dinner and everything was so dry and bland in very small portions. Not an ounce of sauce on anything - the halibut, which I was so looking forward to, was a chunk of white/grey mass with no flavour, no sauce, and no colour - same with the salmon. The steak had no peppercorn or demi sauce - we had to ask for steak sauce because it was just so bland. It was an unpleasant surprise and considering the very expensive cost, I feel the Chef has a responsibility to present a much better product. It seems you're paying for the sunset - not the food, that's for sure. The 2 out of 2 stars is solely for the staff because the service was impeccable and first class. I think the Chef owes the staff a better product to work with as well because we could not see how the food matched the staff, presentation, location, and sunset. I would've said something to management but we were hosting a couple from New Zealand and quite frankly, I didn't want to bring attention to how unhappy we were but I was quietly embarrassed given how much we raved about the restaurant.
Extravagant food with beautiful atmosphere for a special occasion!
A truly memorable evening, John Ferrie our server was outstanding!
Really helpful hostess accommodating the reservation change. delicious menu, but my drink came 10 minutes before everyone else, and the service was quite slow. Nice ambience and setting though.
It is a very special place with a beautiful view.
You could justify going here just for the sunset. The food is not trendy, but it is excellently prepared and beautifully presented. The wine list favors the local BC wines and have been selected with some care. The service was top notch, and Joe went the extra mile walking us out and taking pictures of us in the red chairs in front of the restaurant.
Another beautiful evening at the Teahouse. Never disappointed! Fresh food, great drink selections, and great customer service!
I wanted to confirm if the salmon was"wild"? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Outstanding service and perfect food - the fish was amazing!!!
We had good weather, a nice sunset, a seat outside at the wall and a very kind waiter. The food was excellent, well prepared and even the prosecco was fresh and tasty.
Just minor issues: the table is small, and the restaurant is very busy.
As we celebrated our 30 years wedding aniversary the kitchen prepared as a suprise a nice plate.
All in all we enjoyed the evening very much.
Excellent place to celebrate special occasion, it’s one of our favourite restaurant.
We had a light lunch. Food was great and service by our server Anna was excellent. Would highly recommend. Booked our reservation 1day ahead.
Fabulous food, amazing service . Best view in town
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Teahouse. We had a lovely view from inside over the outside area and to the ocean. Our meal was lovely, as was our server Tempestt. A real treat in Stanley Park!
Amazing experience. Excellent food. Gorgeous sunset. I want to come back!!!
Great table with a view of three sunset
Had an outdoor table on a sunny evening. Food was fantastic as was the service. There was wedding going on that was a bit loud but staff quickly closed the windows to the room where the wedding was.
What a fantastic venue; beautiful view, great service, plus a delicious food menu. What more could one ask for in a dining experience.
Amazing brunch! Best avocado toast I’ve ever had
There was a baby crying while trying to enjoy a romantic dinner away from the kids at home. Nonetheless, it’s our favourite place!
The scenery was good. Service and food were excellent. The best crab cake I ever tasted. I will return with other occasions. The only down side was because of a birthday party table was set up behind us. It was noisy and I had to raise my voice to talk to my wife.
everything was very except the service was very slow. The waiter was nice but quite slow and a little
Our daughter was home from overseas studies, and our sister-in-law was here from Ontario on a special visit to celebrate her 75th birthday. Five of us, including another local relative chose this for a special night together - this has been our seventh such event planned by my husband and me in the last 2 years, and it has truly been special in the Teahouse. We’ve made it a habit to arrive early enough to start with a walk along the sea wall, for the wonderful atmosphere, and a great view setting for photos with out of town guests. We’ll be back, again and again.
What a lovely spot for a romantic , delicious lunch. The prix fixe was a bargain! Had a great walk out of the Park afterwards. Perfect afternoon.
Amazing John was a great server if your in Vancouver this place is a true must!
We enjoy coming to the Teahouse Restaurant in the summer after a lovely walk on the seawall. It is a tradition that we look forward to every year. We bring out of town guests there each time they visit and they always look forward to the lunch there.
The Teahouse is a very good restaurant in a very good place, the staff were very friendly, and the food amazing.
As a weakness, we has a dinner in the terrace, but in the afternoon it si so dark and you can see the foot that you are eating
The staff were fantastic, excellent service from the moment you arrive. Duck was a bit salty, Salmon was good . Taxi home took 30 minutes to arrive.
The atmosphere for celebrating an important event was wonderful in its simplicity.
No great hubbub in the restaurant and food was delicious
It took too long to get to order our food.
For the desserts we ordered coffee and cakes. Cakes arrived well before my coffee and they forgot my husband’s coffee at all (but included it in our check anyway).
Excellent service and setting as always, but the food was a rare miss today: mushroom soup watery (with little actual mushroom flavour), the brunch potatoes tasted as if they were deep fried in the oil used to cook fish, the English muffins were so tough steak knives were required. We were entertaining out-of-town guests and hoped they'd enjoy the stellar food we have come to know and love, but today was sadly mediocre.
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful part of Stanley Park. Mid to high prices for brunch. Of four items ordered, the poached eggs were almost hard and food was just warm, the omelet was declared 'ok'. Disappointing as have visited many times in the past and the food was always good.
Quite disappointing after coming here for years. Old potatoes deep fried. Tough, tasteless bread. Skimpy portions.
Mark is an amazing waiter and gave a great balance between attentiveness to our dining experience and space to enjoy personal conversation at a leisurely pace.
i always enjoy the Teahouse and have been visiting for many years. I do find it a little pricey at times, think that caters to the tourists!
I had the set lunch with salmon. Salmon would’ve been better grilled. Otherwise, perfect. Especially the cold Stanley Park Summer Setter beer. Thank you Teahouse !!
We felt very welcomed. We loved the food, the atmosphere and the amazing view.
Jason the manager was very helpful and our waiter Jakub was friendly and charming
