The Teahouse Restaurant
One of Stanley Park’s historic seaside landmarks, this popular meeting spot is minutes from downtown Vancouver and boasts an outdoor fireplace on the restaurant’s patio, which looks out to sunset views of Georgia Strait from the western tip of Stanley Park.
The natural west coast atmosphere is perfectly enhanced by Executive Chef Alan Tse's cuisine using fresh local ingredients.
For private events, the Teahouse has three distinct rooms; perfect for seminars, meetings or special occasions of any kind. Each room offers ocean views that are unmatched in Vancouver.
The Teahouse is a contemporary dining experience with a difference, accompanied by the longest sunsets in the city.
The Teahouse offer four uniquely styled spaces perfect for weddings each with their own charm and appeal. The Conservatory (70 seated, 110 standing), The Conservatory Green (standing only), The Drawing Room (50 seated, 65 standing) & The Tearoom (30 seated, 45 standing).View Private Dining Details
More than lived up to our expectations. Food and service were excellent.
I brought my friends to have a great dinner to celebrate his b-day and we were not disappointed, great food, excellent wine and great service. thank you.
schedueld a table at 1 pm and we were 5 mins earlier. The manager managed to get us a table on time. Wait for about 5 mins to have a guy with us. Order a lot for 2 adults 2 kids. But the dishes came up not so late. Overall, their dishes taste fine but service not too good. Maybe it was because of the weather.
Great service, attentive to allergies and the view of Burrard inlet is fabulous. But the burger was mediocre at best.
The meal was great! The ambience was very quiet as it was a rainy Thursday night. Classic fine dining in an awesome setting. Perfect for birthdays and anniversary dinners.
Great service and super food quality!
Beautiful setting with a view of Vancouver Bay. The brunch items we chose were cooked to perfection, unique combinations presented artistically. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating.
Excellent service and very friendly staff, great location overall. The food was delicious.
new year eve
Went for New Year's Eve Dinner and service felt super rushed. It was a 3-course menu and plates were coming one after the other with no real time to enjoy the meal or have a conversation. For example, palate cleanser was brought in at the same time as the main dish and some of us were not even finising the first course. We finished our dinner and server brought the bill right away. Who does that for New Year's Eve? There was no intention to invite us to stay for longer and have a couple of drinks until midnight. Menu offered a glass of sparkling wine at midnight to ring the new year and was not even mentioned. The attitude was more like pay and go away. We left the restaurant at 11 pm and went home a bit dissapointed. Also, it would have been great to have some kind of music entertainment for New Year's Eve. Music was barely audible making the overall experience a bit boring.
We dined here for NYE and it was great! They had the place decked out with decorations and even had a designated area to take photos (it was decorated with a Christmas tree, lots of twinkling lights and a huge 2019 set of balloons). The service was great except they charged us for 2 cups of soup when we specifically said we wanted to share 1 bowl of soup; we didn’t want to make it a big deal so we paid the extra charges anyway. The food itself was good; they gave good portions and everything was seasoned very nicely. The chocolate Milano cake and the lemon tarte really topped off the meal! Highly recommend coming to Teahouse!
Went for dinner with my girlfriend, proposed (in Stanley Park) on the way home... enough said?
After many recommendations from a friend, we decided to enjoy New Year’s Eve dinner at The Teahouse Restaurant. It was much more outstanding than we expected. The ambiance, menu (5-course or a la carte), and service were perfect for a low-key end to 2018. The servers were very attentive and helpful but not intrusive. The food was creative and so delicious. The location can’t be beat. We can’t wait to return at different times of the year for more incredible experiences here.
Our New Years Eve dinner was very enjoyable. We had a very nice table and our server, Anna, was awesome. Food was good, not great but the ambience and service made up for it.
It was really nice! The place is beautiful and the food os outstanding!
The Teahouse is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver and have been there many times and really enjoyed it. However, I would not recommend it for brunch any more. They no longer serve pizzas and flat breads which were really good and you can't even get regular Eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, there was a very large table of 10-12 people that were extremely loud and they were all taking at the same time. I won't be going back for lunch any time soon but I believe it is much different in the evenings.
Awesome service from our server, along with a beautiful view! Love this place.
Holiday season/special evening out with my husband. Has become a yearly tradition for us!
Service was excellent, food was tasty but the portion size on my Bouillabaisse dish was extremely small, hardly any seafood especially for the high cost.
We have noticed that the menu is becoming more limited and costs going up here. On this occasional, we were both happy to enjoy the limited return of the carrot ginger soup-it’s one of our favorites!
We went here for Christmas and it was wonderful. The food was great and most of all the staff were lovely and friendly. The setting was beautiful.
Servers were friendly but service was just okay. Our wine orders almost got switched; my soup spoon was forgotten and it took a while to get their attention.
Food was just okay too. I do like their bouillabaisse and the chocolate mousse. Our bread took forever to come, and we were told not to order the pouched pear dessert because a number of people already sent theirs back to the kitchen. Perhaps it was because we went in Christmas Day. They had set menu and the kitchen could not keep up with the orders, but it was just our speculation.
The ambient was quite good though. We were seated by the window at the sun room. We think it would be so nice to come here in a sunny day for a wedding or special occasion.
We booked on line for Christmas Day dinner and received confirmation & #. When we arrived hostess advised we were booked for Boxing Day according to her computer, but they very graciously accommodated us. When we got back to our B&B we had received a confirmation email for the Christmas Day dinner. Confusing but sorted out and a delightful dinner and service.
Tasted nasty but for $55 per person, I guess I can't complain. The complimentary bread & choco cake dessert was good. Servers seemed extremely busy & walked super fast.
My son and I come every year for Xmas eve.
We love that this restaurant is our Xmas tradition.
We will be going every year!!
It never fails
Lovely meal for Christmas Eve lunch. The charcuterie and cheese board could have been a meal in itself. The Brussels sprouts were bacony and crispy. My husband’s salmon was cooked to perfection. Excellent view.
The Tea House is always excellent. The food is amazing and all the staff are top notch.
Coming from Oregon, this was our second visit to the Teahouse, this time for my 75th birthday treat. A cold, drenching rainy December evening was forgotten in the fireplace-accented cozy dining room. The food was excellent, including my duck confit, with service staff all friendly, extremely capable, and carefully attentive. (My apologies to our server whose name my 75-year old memory has lost). She was delightful and very helpful. The amuse-bouche she served us was tasty and thoughtful. I have been told that during the summer it has outdoor views and seating, but having only been here in winter months, we found it just right. Stanley Park is a nice setting, with the winding road to the Teahouse a longer trip going there than coming back to town. A very worthwhile restaurant experience.
We always love The Tea House!
Wonderful view ...great service ...and great food..
It was wonderful and also I reserved for my family on 30th December
We had a lovely time, eating an early dinner (5:30p) on a weeknight with our parents and 2 year old son. We had the whole back room to ourselves for the first 40 mins. The holiday decorations were beautiful, the service was exceptional and I loved my duck leg confit. The mousse dessert was delicious as well. We will be back!
The ambbience was as lovely as ever and we were lucky to have a fairly quiet night (noise in restauramnts is a growing problem). The food was excellent (the first course stuffed mushrooms deserve especial praise) and the wine we chose alos very good; but qwe noticed a tendency to 'nouvelle cuisine' style which measnt that the portioins of the main course were almost too small for our liking.
A great afternoon for a late lunch. Food was good, wine excellent and service was friendly. Thanks Clare. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Sad again, and thankfully didn’t purchase any more gc with this franchise. Haven’t gone back to seasons in the park after last disastrous dinner, but teahouse was still good till this summer. Maybe new cook? Or new ownership?
Expected to see full house near Christmas, but it was empty. Should’ve took the hint from it, but oh well. C’est la vie. Could taste frozen lobster in lobster sandwiches, and salads were not fresh.
Again, it’s really sad once it was a great spot to entertain guests. :(
A lunch with family. It was a nice day with a great view of the ocean. The food was so so. My burger was burnt and about half the size of a typical burger. My wife and sister had prawns. They where over cooked and tasteless. We complained to the waiter and removed from our bill. My brother in law had muscles. They where excellent. We have been to this restaurant many times and never had a problem so hopefully this was one of those days for the cook.
It has been years since we ate at the Tea House. Since this was a special birthday we chose to dine out. The service was exceptional. The food choices were great. I chose rack of lamb and my husband chose the prime rib special. Both meals were presented well and the server explained all the vegetables. Sadly the food was only warm. In fact the scalloped potato was cold. We did not explain this to the server as it was very busy.
It was our granddaughter's day with us to see Beauty and the Beast at the Stanley Theatre afterward. We take her once a year to a place that can be festive and memorable for a kid. We've frequented Tea House all our lives. The food was wonderful, the little touches like the kids one sheet and crayons to colour, and the waiter, named I believe Mauro? (From South America) was an outstanding waiter. He was attentive, super smiling a warm and had a way about him with kids. He's worth a promotion:) Food quality was great and healthy but also visual as I am a foodie and food needs to look good. Highlight was discovering a paper covering on our table top which facilitated our Granddaughter and her Grampa drawing Christmas trees and figures...as we finished up. The view is stunning and fire was warm despite the rainy day. We made it on time to our show.
Excellent attentive service from Brandon and food was exceptional.
Our server was outstanding. The anniversary menu brought back good memories of the kind of food we used to enjoy! Nice ambiance. It was disappointing, that in spite of being asked if it was a special occasion, which it was... a birthday, there was no acknowledgment of that. I had requested a specific location and again no reference to that.....those tables were not available but still I would have appreciated some recognition of my request. Do not ask customers to give this information if nothing is going to be done!
Wonderful dinner at the Teahouse. We had called ahead and asked for a table by the fireplace, and they offered us two different tables. Food and service were great. Very pleased.
We had a very nice lunch at noon to 2pm. The service was very attentive and helpful but not overdone. It was pretty noisy and at times we had trouble to hear each other. Next time I would go for lunch at 2pm when most people are gone and it is much quieter.
We had a lovely dinner, enjoyed the beautiful seasonal decorations and great view. Our waiter was efficient and kept us laughing and entertained.
