Wonderful experience. The food was amazing, Our server John was very friendly yet non obtrusive.
Will come again.
There doesn’t seem to be good communication between employees. The hostess, who I presumed a trainee, informed two of our party that we can go to our table. So those two went, and started getting settled.
I, coming back from the street, overheard one of the servers (who I presumed is responsible for that section of the restaurant) asked someone, “What’s going on over there? They’ve got a cake and everything..” which then made me think the table isn’t ready to begin with, and the server has no idea someone is about to be seated there.
A few minutes later to no one’s surprised, the main hostess came to inform us the table isn’t ready and they will grab us when it is.
Just poor communication all around, and me overhearing conversations between employees should not have had happened in my opinion. You never know who’s who.
Otherwise, the server John was great and attentive.
I reserved a table on the patio and noted it was for a special occasion. Our server was friendly and efficient but did not go out of his way to provide exceptional service, nor inquire about the occasion for our reservation. The food was very well prepared, except for the chowder which was lacking evidence of seafood. I will return as my prior visit was exceptional. The food and view are worth the drive.
Small menu and nothing special. Just a nice location and environment
Excellent food, wine, and service. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
I had great time with my children. My daughter wanted something that was not on the menu, but the chef made it perfectly!!! Thank you again!
Food was good, service was fast and friendly. The crowd was a nice mix of all demographics. The patio seating was comfortable and relaxing. We like your chairs! Drink menu was sticky and had to wash hands. Wedding there added a special ambiance to the sunny summer afternoon. Possibly due to the wedding, parking was almost a big issue. Dropped off my disabled guest at the front door but there was only one stall left thankfully, or I would have had to drive around the entire park to return to the vicinity of the restaurant to try again for parking. But that is out of your control. Overall, a very enjoyable experience for us. Looking forward to our next visit!
Overall was good. I took my significant other to celebrate her birthday. We waited nearly 30 minutes as they forgot we had checked in. If i didn't go back to check we would still have been waiting.
It was a very busy day so hard to find parking and very noisy in the restaurant. The service was great!
This was our first time visiting the Teahouse as we celebrated my husbands birthday. We enjoyed our meals and the view, but felt the service was seriously lacking. There was a lack of attention or enthusiasm with service. We had the mussels, stuffed mushrooms, sablefish and halibut and everything was great regarding our meals but felt the staff wasn’t eager to be there and zero attention to detail.
We had a bottle of wine and sparking water that we had to pour our own glasses throughout the night. We discussed that we would possibly come back for the food as it was surprisingly flavourful and imaginative, but the service was a let down and most likely would deter us from coming again.
The food and service were excellent...but we were seated next to a very large party. The tables were too close together which caused the wait staff to constantly bump into our table disrupting our meal. The manager offered to move us but we were already in the middle of eating. He instead chose to send desert to our table which we did not want and would have simply lengthened our time in the uncomfortable situation.
Wonderful food, service, and ambience. Perfect for romantic anniversaries.
Went here on vacation for our honeymoon and it was magical! The view at sunset was incredible. We got the stuffed mushrooms, ceviche and charcuterie board, and a bottle of wine. Highly recommend the board! This was the highlight of our trip and service was excellent. Would definitely go back.
The perfect spot for a great dinner before seeing the show at the Theater Under the Stars.
I was looking forward to sitting outside but two very powerful fans blowing on a hot night were overkill. A gentle fan would have been acceptable but it took several requests to have anything done about them. I was offered a blanket - on a lovely warm evening! The dinner described seasonal vegetables but apart from a few small beans there were only a lot of very salty olives (seasonal?). The fish was well cooked and tastey but I left feeling unsatisfied.
Our waiter was truly one of the best that has ever served me. We enjoyed the view, the food and the total experience very much!
Food was great except for the chicken salad which had way too much celery and hardly any chicken.
We went to this restaurant our last night in Vancouver. The restaurant was airy and open with the windows open to a wonderful sea breeze. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was excellent. We had great service and a memorable evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was excellent, great service and we really enjoyed our team lunch. Got the window table we asked for which was nice!
I had pretty high expectations of this place. It is in a beautiful setting, the food did not blow me away, good be average. Definitely worth a visit though for the setting and a walk around the area.
Always a treat to come here. Never had a bad experience. Staff are always friendly and helpful. food is always tasty, loved the Thai prawn Bowl. Beautiful place to people watch, boat watch and overall feel of the place.. thanks for a great lunch.
This was the third year in a row to celebrate our anniversary dinner (30th this year). You cannot beat the setting and the view! The sablefish and of course the stuffed mushroom caps were as always, fabulous!
We had three nights in Vancouver after our cruise. I saw notes that the Teahouse was good for watching the sun set over the Pacific, so I made a reservation. The room was lovely, the servers were attentive, and the food came quickly. Everything was delicious; we were especially impressed by the charcuterie and cheese board! Such a nice evening!
Food was excellent . Wasnt too pricey. Loved the ambiance
The service was great, very professional. The food was amazing. The reason I did not give a five star for the food is because the portions are too small for the price. Also, the washroom need an upgrade. But overall a relaxing experience.
Always happy when we come here.
Teahouse is a cant miss experience if visiting Vancouver. Simply stunning location, excellent food and service. Special meal
I Have you eaten here before and the service was excellent and the food was excellent which is why I returned. This last visit was abysmal it took over 15 minutes for a server to attend our table, My stepdaughter’s meal looked as if they had just opened a can of stewed tomatoes and poured it over pasta and it was tasteless my meal was Mediocre and my wife had a salad and how do you mess that up! I will not be returning to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone at this time. When our drinks arrived my stepdaughters drink did not arrive at the same time when we asked the server where her drink was they told me that the bartender was too busy with a wedding party in order to make the drink but it would be out very soon and I wonder how ours got made and hers did not.
The Teahouse is a Vancouver tradition. The building itself is lovely, the decor nice and airy, the setting overlooking Third Beach in Stanley Park is stunning. The food is solid fine dining--if you're looking for oh-so-innovative, this is not the place, but if you want some very good food and excellent dessert, yes. Service is excellent--attentive, professional, knowledgeable, but cheerful and friendly, never snobby. The Teahouse is very consistent; if you want to be sure there won't be a sour note it's a great place to go. Going to the Teahouse always puts me in a good mood.
Beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous setting. Go around sunset. Service is slow and does not represent the restaurant very well.
Pretty restaurant, good food and ambiance. Had the salmon pizza, fish & chips, mussels and hamburger. All were good.
Our server John did everything to make this evening memorable! Will always remember! Thanks to him!
Our visit to the Teahouse was a disappointment. We were seated in the atrium on a sunny day, even though there were other places available. There was no AC or fans. It was like eating in a greenhouse and made us want to eat quickly and leave. There was a birthday party of 15 people, mainly children, in the same section. Service was slow and even though the server acknowledged that we had booked this as a birthday celebration for my mother, candles were put on the dessert we ordered and were then charged for. Not someplace we will return to.
Our window table provided a fantastic view of Stanley Park. The ocean breezes were welcome on a hot day at the Park!
Fish and chips and a salmon burger were consumed with gusto accompanied by a great glass of wine!
Service was pleasant and efficient!
We enjoyed the ambiance and this lunch will be a special memory for us and our visit to Vancouver.
Good food. Visited at sunset on the day Venus aligned with the moon. Great view.
Very good restaurant, excellent service, amazing view!
Strongly recommend if you can get a reservation!
Great food, and great service from Yana! We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday and Yana made sure to wish her a happy birthday. They were very accommodating since we were also in a rush (we were late...hahaha) to catch a bard on the beach show, so they were great with putting a rush on our order so that we wouldn’t miss our show! Would definitely come back again, the patio was awesome!
Waitress was not on top of things. Had to ask for the bread. Received my meal and not cooked enough. Sent it back and everyone had finished their meals and dishes cleared before I got mine back. Cut into middle of steak and huge vein runny through the middle. Told waitress I didn’t want the meal after everyone had already eaten. But she brought it anyways. After I returned my meal never saw the waitress until she brought the bill. Very disappointing. Will never go back!
Beautiful views and great food! The salmon was excellent!
A delightful spot in Stanley Park with stellar view of the water. Charming and efficient staff made excellent food and wine suggestions and were attentive throughout our meal. Varied menu selections and artistic presentation pleased both eye and palette. Definitely planning a return visit!
