Located in Cannon Beach, the Wayfarer Restaurant and Lounge is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. The Wayfarer is most notably known for our seasonal northwest cuisine, memorable guest experiences, and unique views of the Pacific Ocean and Haystack Rock.
We're open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, beginning at 8 am until 9 pm.

We welcome walk-ins for Breakfast and Lunch; reservations aren't required or taken.
While not necessary, Dinner reservations are available. Dinner seating begins at 4 pm-9 pm.

The mixed drinks were the highlight of the dinner. French onion soup was sub par. The onions were not caramelized leading to a bland broth. Salmon was a nice piece of fish and well cooked, but completely lacked seasoning (as did the carrots and snap peas — cooked well but completely unseasoned). The risotto was just awful — it formed stiff peaks like mashed potatoes, also lacked seasoning and was slightly cold. Finally, the bread pudding was a big disappointment—was partially cold as if it hadn’t been heated in the microwave all the way and was relatively dry. No flavor of bananas foster at all. Only took one bite. Would not go back if we travel to Canon Beach again. Not worth the money — not even close.

Our Anniversary night was spectacular. We received the window seat that I requested when I made the reservation. Our server Kelly did an excellent job of making sure we had everything we needed. We will return for more fun and food.

Great dinner with the family. The staff were extremely friendly and made our meal very pleasant. The food was very good, cooked perfectly.

The wait staff were really courteous, attentive and helpful. The food was decent and took a long time to arrive. We sat outside, the patio area is pretty small and the view is partially blocked by the main restaurant building. But the view of Haystack Rock is a sight to behold!

Since we moved to Portland in 2016, my husband and I have enjoyed dining at the Wayfarer whenever we visit the coast for the day or an extended stay. We have found the food good to very good each time, the ambience enjoyable and the staff friendly and attentive. Yesterday, Kelly and the team were attentive and the food was very good.

We had a reservation and were promptly sat at a table by the window. The restaurant was full but not loud. Our waiter had a great personality and was easy to interact with. We split the calamari, Caesar salad, burrata caprese and crispy pork shoulder. Portions were reasonable. Calamari was the best we’ve ever had! The pork dish was not something you would find at any restaurant. It was a perfect medley of flavors and textures. Highly recommend this great place!

Great table, good service, food was tasty but all 3 dishes of meat portions very small ( chicken, steak, pork). Overpriced
