Charcuterie board was a big hit. Cobb salads were delicious. Sat in the porch for lunch and enjoyed the view.
The Wharf created a beautiful intimate setting for an equally beautiful meal and drinks with friends.
Me my niece and my sister sat on their beautiful deck to enjoy beautiful views and good food and drink.
Sunday brunch (11:30), but not many "breakfast" items to choose from. Once the tables started to fill, the service became slower (though the waitress was delightful). Beautiful room and view. We would try again on a weekday.
We had our anniversary dinner here and it was fantastic! Everyone wished us happy anniversary! We even got a complimentary dessert! The waitress Martha was phenomenal! The food was too die for… we would definitely recommend that others come here for fine dining.
Beautiful place with a fantastic view of the sound and top notch service and food!
We were staying at the hotel and had dinner here twice. Good soups and salads and excellent fish entrees. Great service from Jimmie and Marlene.
Nice sitting out on the "porch" for lunch. Food was pretty good but only four or five options to choose from, and, a bit overpriced. Was pleased with the reservation since our table was ready and outside as I had requested.
Lovely view (less than 50 characters, but the instructions say short and simple).
We enjoyed the entire experience. I feel it is too expensive. But will come again only on a very special occasion. Wish I could come more often but way out of our budget.
The ocean view and beautifully appointed hotel make The Wharf at Madison Beach a lovely experience. We had lunch there and both the salmon sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich were good-sized and quite delicious. It is truly a treat to visit this restaurant -- whether you sit outside (which is what we always do) or inside. We have also been here for weddings and brunch and honestly, it is quite lovely.
The Wharf is an old favorite. Warm, friendly service and exquisite setting and the food is good enough.
Excellent service by Kimberly and great food.
Some food items need to be upgraded in terms of quality.
The Wharf and it’s management team/ servers were fabulous. So accommodating and personable, not to mention the food was phenomenal. We were celebrating my sisters engagement and wedding dress shopping day and they really paid attention to the celebratory details. So great
Good food and service. Had an enjoyable evening with lovely views of the ocean.
Our favorite outdoor seating restaurant! Spring, summer of fall!
Do to traffic, I was late for my reservation by 25 minutes. I called to say I will be late, and when I arrived, my reservation was held.
All tables were filled except mine. Service was good. Waiter made an error on my entree, but made it up by giving me extra shrimp, a $12 value.
Food was very good with a few unique dishes. I and my wife both tried different entree specials, and we both enjoyed them.
Water view on the patio is outstanding. Customers were having a good time.
Planning to return ASAP.
Weakest vodka martini I ever had. Food fair but prices too high for the quality. View great so you can do the rest.
Menu selections good. Server professional and courteous. Table legs very much unbalanced. Crying children were sittining around a corner but their screaming and crying were most annoying and made it difficult to have a conversation.
Views of harcbor above average. We were expecting a breakfast buffet.
I would try it again.
Made lunch reservations a few days ahead of time as a late birthday gift to myself. Had a friend tag along after a morning of paddling the Neck River in Madison/Guilford.
Albeit my friend was a tad underdressed for the occasion - but the variation of service we experience wasn't welcomed. When being advised on what the day's specials were our waiter felt the need to tell us the prices for each dish.
Observed his interaction with multiple other tables and the prices were never mentioned. I wouldn't say I'm a frequent flyer at this restaurant (primarily due to distance) but I have never had this experience before.
Besides our slightly degrading service experience the food was fantastic per usual.
We enjoyed 8 oysters, the crab cake, a hot lobster roll and chicken salad croissant. All washed down with a couple of cosmos and mimosas.
Overall always a great experience - service can be improved with tact.
While the food and atmosphere on the deck was very good, we signed up for the regular traditional brunch on line, but when we arrived we were told that due to staffing shortage that the regular brunch was not available. The menu was limited and it was a surprise when we arrived to find this out. We were both disappointed and looked forward to the re arrival of the traditional brunch menu and offerings. I hope in the near future, the traditional brunch will be offered once again. There was a notice in a shoreline magazine that the brunch was back, as well on line booking, this needs to be amended. I advise being upfront about the reality, as people just want truth and openness, otherwise it leaves a bad impression and people remember these kinds of experiences. Next time we will be hesitant to book a brunch there, being really unsure what to find out when we arrive.
Beautiful view. Wonderful service. Excellent food!
The food and service were excellent. A wonderful choice for our anniversary dinner!
Exceptional service - friendly and professional
Server was disheveled, sloppy and unprofessional. ,
While staying at the lovely Madison Beach Hotel , we dined at the Wharf restaurant. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner overlooking the LI Sound. The staff were courteous and attentive. Will definitely be back
This is one of our favorite restaurants for outdoor dining! The weather cooperated and gave us a gorgeous anniversary dinner for outside dining. This was the first time we had to ask for our entree dish to be reheated -cold vegetables and potatoes. Took a while to get it back. This is the first time it has happened so we will give the chef a pass. We shared a small dessert that we both felt was overpriced at $12. All else good - clam chowder, drinks, and great service.
There are very few food options, especially appetizers.
5-star service, with warm greetings that started with complimentary valet parking, the front desk staff, the hostess and wait staff. Anniversary dinner was celebrated indoors by the windows in the twilight of a drizzly Thursday evening, yet the atmosphere is cozy with good lighting. New England continental menu is a little limited and geared towards sea food, yet the chefs have perfected their dishes. Decent wine selection, speaking of wine by the glass. Chocolate dessert did not disappoint. 70’s hits music was a bit incongruous for white table cloth dinner, perhaps shared with the bar? Will look forward to returning a third time on next summer’s anniversary vacation.
Niece’s birthday, and our server went above and beyond to make her feel special.
We had a reservation, arrived an hour early, we requested to be seated outside and were very pleasantly greeted by the hostess and without any hemming and hawing graciously seated on the deck and were permitted to choose our two-top table. Great start! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I ordered the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and my wife had the arugula salad with grilled chicken. My wife is gluten free, dairy free and the only meat she eats is chicken pretty much. Portions were good and our salads were our dinners. My wife would have had the pasta with veggies entree but they were out of gluten free pasta. We have eaten at The Wharf before and they seem to always be out of gluten-free pasta. Beautiful view with heaters outside on the deck and clear plastic they can lower to enclose the outside if necessary which is very nice. A couple of suggestions for the restaurant as there are many gluten free, dairy free and vegans out there that the chef add gluten-free and dairy free vegetable options to the menu (other than salad) (e.g., sautéed spinach, broccolini, brussel sprouts) and always have a gluten-free pasta on hand.
We always enjoy the Madison Beach Hotel. The food is usually very good to excellent, service very good, view is wonderful-- it is always terrific. My only comment about last night is that they had a limited menu. Had I known that, I would have picked another night to go. I love their duck which was not available and other dishes that were not on the limited menu.
Friendly, professional service on the porch made it a very pleasant experience. Entree (blackened scallops with asparagus substitution for rice) and desert (tiramisu) were outstanding. Appetizer (scallop-shrimp ceviche) was disappointing, compared to the exquisite tuna tartar we had at lunch. Will return for sure.
Our first time at the Madison Beach Hotel. We are ready to go back again. Food was outstanding and the service wonderful.
Overall terrific and I am not easy to please.
I took my 96 year old mother and my sister for lunch on the porch. It was a hot day but there was a breeze. The food was amazing. My mom loved her ceviche so much that we ordered a serving for take out and she enjoyed it the next day.
Always a fantastic experience at MBH!
When I made the reservation, my thought was that since the restaurant is located at the Madison Beach Hotel, it would be wonderful. Looking back, maybe I should not have had that expectation. I put aside the fact that the menu had just been completely revised, having very few choices "due to staffing issues". I ordered a Caesar salad as my appetizer and asked for the dressing to be on the side, which it was not and as well the romaine was a bit wilted. I ordered the classic burger (medium) and it was like shoe leather. My Mom ordered the blackened salmon sandwich and was disappointed as it was overcooked. There are other lovely places to dine at such as Bar Bouchee or Cafe Allegre......so think twice before your try The Wharf!
Given the times and the great need for help, everything went off without a hitch. Their menu was limited which was fine by us because the approach to do a few things really well during a challenging time works! Beautiful night on the patio and overall great service. It’s was a special night celebrating our anniversary and everything about it made it feel special!
We had a wonderful outdoor dinning experience. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food and drinks are amazing!
