Wonderful Wednesday club - will absolutely return, dinner was exquisite! Compliments to the kitchen and waiting staff. Exemplary all round thank you. We dont dine out often but we are both foodies (partner is a chef) so when we do we like to be select and this was by far the best so far

We 4 old friends and dog were greeted by the warmth of the log fire and comfortably seated. Service was friendly and excellant and we all agreed the food was absolutely delicious as well as attractively presented. We thought the wine was a truly excellant Primitivo. One of us had an expresso martini at the end of the meal and said it was the best she had ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and dinner at the White Hart.

Good food - excellent service, however, I wouldn’t recommend the ‘orangery’ - it’s just a marquee and extremely draughty and cold on a wintry day, even with heaters available. (The one directly above the table just heats up your head).

It was a last minute booking so only an outside table available (enclosed) We were given a big heater and were served quickly so it was fine. We like the Sunday lunch do all good. I imagine as winter goes on it may be too cold outside.

Fantastic food and very friendly and attentive service from staff, a real treat! One of our favourite restaurants locally. This time we were upstairs and the only downside was that the room was too hot. Otherwise we had a wonderful meal with our friends.

What a fantastic lunch for a special occasion! Many thanks for a wonderful experience. The staff and atmosphere were warm and inviting, the food was exceptional (with some really inventive additions such as the spiced creme brulee!). The little Birthday touches were lovely and really made it extra special. All with great value too!

We had enjoyed a memorable meal here with friends a while ago and decided to give a daughter home from uni with a dislocated should a treat. It was a fabulous Sunday lunch and the roast beef was so tender the invalid could cut it herself. Very well-kept beer, lovely service and a cheery bustling atmosphere. We won't leave it so long next time.

Beautiful pub, cosy and warm on a chilly autumn night. The food was very good and so was the service. The pumpkin spice creme brulee dessert was particularly excellent. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful afternoon at the White Hart (after going to the wrong “White Hart” first - check the post code!) The team were very understanding when we were half an hour late. They gave us (family of 4, including a toddler & teenager) a very warm welcome, orders were taken promptly and food was very good! Highly recommend!

I was warned that wheelchair access to the main restaurant was via 2 steps but staff would be able to assist the 2 steps in practise were completely inaccessible but true to their word the staff carried Mum insitu with wheelchair down the steps and over the door threshold and rearranged chairs for access to our table so I can only say excellent customer care. The food was extraordinarily tasty and well presented and at £46 per head 2 courses plus drinks, coffees and chocolates was very good value considering the quality. Service was good and the pub itself had amazing character. My only gripes were that they should consider ramp access going forward and unfortunately, whereas I thought they might offer some gluten free alternatives all they actually did was remove the gluten containing items entirely from the plate. Given the obvious quality of the chef I'd have thought he'd been able to knock up some gluten free Yorkshire. Still an exceptional experience.

My husband and I met two friends for lunch. This is probably the 5th time we have visited The White Hart. On this occasion we did not drink wine. Both couples were driving and we had a 2 and 1/2 hour journey to follow. We had 1 main course each and coffee. The bill, with gratuities came to £140. Cappuccino coffee was charged at £8! We are so disappointed.

Food and service always very good. Staff always pleasant and helpful . However , when we arrived there were 4 people on stools along the bar baring access with no intention of moving whilst continuing their conversation ignoring my attempt to order and reach through them .
