Treated us very well on our wedding day celebration. Food was delicious, much more filling that we had expected for a 5 star hotel. Nice ambience for a special occasion. Great vegetarian options. Staff were very welcoming and made our wedding day very special.
Lovely and romantic. Wonderful service.
Outstanding service from
Our Aussie waiter Paul.
We had an amazing creme brulee as dessert and Paul, our server was wonderful! Thank you.
Very good, awesome food
We had the tuna, lingcod and halibut. The texture of the fish was magical.
They were very understanding of our dietary allergies and restrictions.
After reading couple reviews decided to have a Dinner at The Wildflower Restaurant - Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Restaurant was very clean, social distancing in between tables, nice staff. But the main thing why we are coming to this place-to have a nice food. DIDN'T MEET my expectation for Fairmont Hotel Fine Dining............BC Salmon was soooo dry- I couldn't finish my portion.......Our waitress didn't ask us how's food ( I think this is why she is there ) , she just came in the end to get the payment. I complained about my Salmon and she said "I'm so sorry I didn't ask how's food from the beginning". That's it....... Also I had one more request to her but she absolutely forgot about it.... And I still giving her tips (didn't deserve any !!!!!!!!!!!!) DO NOT RECOMMEND......
It was a wonderful 1st dine in experience after 4 months of quarantine. All guest are physically distanced and all servers are wearing masks and gloves while serving. The food was amazing and came out very fast. We loved it!
I wanted to take my 20 year old son for a special dinner after a week in Whistler. The food was great, but the service was terrible which ruined the whole experience. After spending $231.96 for 2 people and the Fairmont standards I expected a lot more.
Fantastic. Super attentive and great wine knowledge. We have two boys ages 5,7 and they also very much enjoyed the experience. Food was phenomenal
Birthday dinner. Food was great although the birthday guest didn’t like the tuna appetizer. I had the halibut which was fantastic and the chocolate cake desert was delicious and huge.
Really great meal! Service was great. Nice ambiance. We really enjoyed our experience at the Wildflower.
Amazing experience! Amazing food! Amazing service!
The 3 course dinner menu is the only way to be able to eat at this fine restaurant. otherwise it's very expensive. We were so stuffed but did enjoy every morsel. The fancey quinoa salad was yummy and a big serve, that was followed by Halibut dish from out of this world.
Dessert was creme brulee , tasty and the presentation was superbarb with edible flower, chocolate, cookies and a bee. The amazing selections of tea( berry one is great).
That was a great deal. I would go back again.
Service was perfect and well spaced out due to covid guidelines. Our temperature was checked as well and servers wore masks.
My fiancee and I were excited when we heard the Fairmont Chateau Whistler was opening; opportunity to book a trip before we become first time parents in August.
Dinner was also a celebration of our becoming engaged back in May.
The staff and service was excellent; especially remarkable considering the changes of operation required through COVID-19. And it was only the 3rd night for dinner service since they re-opened but you'd never know it. Kudos!
We both did the 3-course menu which for the quality and portion size was an absolute bargain! To start we had scallops and the salad, followed by beef tenderloin and rabbit, finishing with delectable pistachio mousse cake and a strawberry yogurt shortcake. Divine!
Excellent food (pork belly starter is fantastic).
Will definitely be visiting again, highly recommended!
We frequent this restaurant on a regular basis and the service is always impeccable.
Menu choices are varied, and everything we have ordered has been pleasing.
Prices are high, but this is the norm in Whistler.
Hohe Qualität der Speisen aber teilweise etwas sehr abgefahrene Kombinationen.
The main course, duck, was tasty, but there was not a good choice of dessert. I had the spiced apple cake which tasted more like carrot cake and it was far too rich
The ambiance is magnificent, service is impeccable and the food is very good. I would strongly recommend, as dessert, their’s scrumptious and exquisite Chocolate Cake!!!
Slightly disappointed due to the fact that my food was not very warm. I ordered scallops which were very tasty and hot but the accompanying cocabean cassoulet was lukewarm. I was offered a side of cassoulet but my husband had finished eating so I said no thanks. There was no price reduction offered but an apology was given by the waitress (not her fault)
Will return. Excellent for special occasion or date night!
Fantastic dinner. Outstanding food, attentive and friendly service in an excellent ambience. One of the best meals in Canada.
We were really impressed with the food (although the prices were a bit ridiculous), and our server was charming. The only problem is that there seems to be a double standard with the maitre d' -- my wife and daughter were both told to remove their hats in the restaurant (which is appropriate given the atmosphere), but throughout our meal, we observed several other guests who wore hats and were given no trouble about it whatsoever. This feels like a double standard and did not leave me with a good impression. Also, the maitre d' asked if we were celebrating anything special, and I told him, "it is our last night in Whistler" -- normally when customers are asked a question like this, the restaurant presents them with something small but special -- for example, an amuse bouche, a dessert to share, or a glass of champagne. Instead, we were given nothing. Compare that to Il Caminetto and Araxi (where we dined the previous two nights), both of which provided us with some small dessert bites, umprompted, and without any need for us to mention a special occasion. I will also add that Il Caminetto and Araxi were both less expensive than Wildflower.
Great food. Best yet in Whistler
It was an absolutely delightful dining experience the way to Bruno the quality of the food was excellent and the wines we picked which is right. great acoustics.
We came here for Valentine's Day during a weekend trip to Whistler. The service we received was above and beyond. I have never been to any dining establishment that made an effort to learn our names which was a really nice treat. The food was amazing and the restaurant itself was very quaint. We would love to come back to try some of the other items on the menu
If you want fancy food with a McDonald’s atmosphere then this is the place for you. Diners wearing t-shirts, young children RUNNING around the restaurant in bare feet with their BAREFOOTED patents- a clear health code violation. Not the servers fault nor the kitchen, but very much the fault of the management. Atmosphere impacts the quality of the dining experience and this one most negatively. We have dined at this restaurant multiple times in the past and found it to be elegant and pleasant with excellent food. Well no more and we will not return.
Everything was great. Only thing is the dessert menu could be expanded a bit
The service was excellent and dinner was cooked perfectly. Great place to enjoy a real Canadian Whistler experience.
We had a lovely dinner, including great service from Chris. Our food was uniquely plated and delicious.
Visit every time we are in whistler never disappoints
An excellent meal and service. Our waiter did a great job. My only complaint is that the bottles of wine are not competitive with other Whistler restaurants. Overall our experience was excellent.
The Wildflower Restaurant is a fine-dining restaurant in the tradition of the late 20th century era; refined, quiet, and very comfortable. The enjoyment of dining there starts at its entrance where you are greeted politely by a friendly staff member who quickly summons your personal table waiter to escort you to your table. The enjoyment doesn't end until one leaves the establishment, fully satisfied by a beautifully presented meal prepared to one's individual desire. My wife and I chose the sockeye salmon for our main serving and it was full of flavour and soft in texture, truely a delight to eat! We have returned each winter for the past 15 years as part of our annual skiing vacation from "down-under" to this wonderful restaurant and have never been disappointed by doing so.
Very convenient if staying in Fairmont. Service and food are first class.
For our last night in Whistler we had a great experience trying out available vegan dishes (vegetable pakora and BC Mushroom). The service was first class as was the food including the coffee and vegan brownie for dessert. Restaurant staff were welcoming, attentive and quick to clear away dishes and stealthy setup tables when folks around we done.
Le service était excellent peut-être trop... nous étions dérangés trop souvent... ce n’était pas toujours nécessaire ...
Beautiful food in a gorgeous setting. The service was good after an initial flat champagne delivery, replaced without question. Great overall experience, highly recommended.
The food is good and the portions are large for Whistler’s finer dining scene. The menu is split with half of the selections for sustainability Planet 21. With that in mind, I personally did not find that menu’s food combination too appealing. Both my sons had the Hanceville Grass fed Beef, which was an open plate ravioli on that menu, and the presentation could really be worked on. I had the West Coast Cioppino which is a mixed seafood stew, it was very tasty. My husband had the Bear and Flower Pork, which he found very filling. The ambiance is lovely but it is very family oriented being on the ski resort and we were surrounded by tables with very young children late in the evening. Service is professional.
