    On the website and open table it implied the Fall special was still available and when we arrived, we had missed it by 2 days. Overall the food and service was excellent, however, I had wished Open Table was more aware or transparent the deal was not available on the date of the booking.

    I work a conference at the Fairmont and look forward to dinner at the Wildflower. The 3 course prix fixe is a great deal. Steelhead trout was absolutely scrumptious. I always recommend our attendees to reserve one meal here!

    I think the food and the service of our sever was excellent. However, we were disappointed with the service of the greeter. We arrived 19 minutes than our scheduled time (6:45pm), and was informed that the earliest we could be seated was 15 minutes before. When we confirmed if that means it would be 6:30pm, then we were told it should be 13 minutes before the scheduled time and should be 6:40pm (remember our booking was 6:45pm). We felt like the person was just making things up on the fly while more than of the restaurant was empty at the time when we arrived. We were shock to see that a high calibre restaurant luke the Fairmont would have this kind of service.

    The male waiter, I forgot his name,took the time to explain the menu in detail, offering insightful recommendations based on our preferences. His extensive knowledge of the dishes added an extra layer of appreciation to each course. What impressed me the most was the way he effortlessly struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal. He seemed to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring our table was cleared promptly.

    The food we order are all delicious. Our server Christopher is awesome. The only downside is the wait time for food. But other than that it’s a 5⭐️

    Party of 4 went for the 4 course fall menu at $49. The options provided were okay, but 3 of us ordered up at extra cost of $15 for 2 hokkaido scallops (seems a bit pricey for 2 scallops but tasty) and the pork belly with it was very nice. The beef tartare up grade for $10 was okay and very tasty and adequate amount. The mains selected by 3 was the steelhead, okay flavour but slightly overcooked, ample amount of veggies provided. Other dish ordered was the duck breast at extra $8. The duck was also slightly overcooked, but tasty and very generous amount of veggies, potatoes and sauce. Dessert 1 - pumpkin cheesecake, very nice Dessert 2 - sticky date pudding, tasted good, but for the lactose intolerant person they failed to sub the ice cream with 'any' other topping ie: fruit compote and therefore tasted one dimensional.

    Amazing evening, both service and food were exceptional, Chris our server was very knowledgeable and proactive, which is very rare nowadays. Well done to both the service and the culinary team.

    Had a wonderful thanksgiving meal! Adam was awesome suggesting the perfect wine pairings with each course, and shared some really cool stories with us. Can't wait to come back!

    We had 2 of our party come down with Covid and obviously could not attend. We found this out shortly before. However, we were charged for 4 dinner guests. Is it possible to receive a credit back since 2 people did not attend? Nancy 604-836-4076

    Incredible service - our server was very kind. They were accommodating in adding an extra seat (even when it probably was not what they wanted to do) because my brother was able to join last minute. When we had an issue come up with my brothers dish, she immediately had the manager come over and assist us. The team at The Wildflower really out did themselves with the thanksgiving brunch. Everything was delicious, well made, and there were so many good options. Thank you!

    To start we thought the food was delicious and had good presentation. There were a couple instances that removed a excellent rating from us. We had two servers and the main servers was great but the second server left a different impression. Mistakes happen but when you bring a vegetarian a salad with bacon across the top of it and insist that it is the right salad that just makes you feel a certain way. He did admit he was wrong and brought the correct salad after a quick back and forth. The second instance he came and took the plate from my wife without even asking if she was done and she was not. He then had to put the plate back on the table this was the service deal breaker for us. The main server did makes things right and brought us a celebratory slice of cake for our anniversary. Again the food was great but not the service we are used to eating at Fairmont establishments.

    Good food and good service. Be ware though that 1/2 price fall wine special is priced at 1/2 price! You won't get an additional discount. Somewhat misleading.

    Our server Topher was absolutely amazing. I was with my 98 year old grandmother, he was googling Austrian sayings, she was teaching him phrases, it was priceless. He was the best server I have had. The Fairmont also had great touches. I had asked for a quiet window table which is what we got and they offered my grandma a blanket for her lap, went to their other restaurant to get her a different glass for her ‘small’ glass of beer. Outstanding all around

    My husband and I spent a weekend at Chateau Whistler in mid September, dining exclusively in the hotel, at the Wildflower as well as Portobello and the Mallard Lounge. All were excellent. Both of our breakfasts and one dinner with friends in the Wildflower were very enjoyable, not only for the excellent meals, wine selection, and cozy ambience, but most especially for the service. High praise for warm, friendly, and quick responses go to two Emmas at dinner, and Daniel at breakfast. Each of them made us feel most welcome and looked after.

    Reserved this restaurant as I completed the 2023 Whistler Gran Fondo. Service was great, one of the best servers I've seen in awhile who actually cares about this position and his guests. Food menu was excellent and chef allowed us to order off menu (octopus) since its not on the dinner menu. No complains about the elk tartare, oysters, scallops either. Delicious. The pink lemonade cheese cake was the awesome. Yum! Thanks for the celebration, we will back in no time.

    This was our second time dining at The Wildflower and it did not disappoint! Our server Amanda was attentive and knowledgeable about wine and food options. My husband and I each ordered the Beet Salad and it truly was out of this world. I took extra time savoring it because it was as beautiful as it was delicious. I ordered the Tagliatelle Pasta and the tomato sauce was fresh and creamy and the homemade pasta was tender. My husband ordered the Lentil Croquettes and literally ate everything on his plate! He wouldn't stop commenting how enjoyable the dish was! Usually he orders the pasta or risotto and I order the unique dishes. For dessert we chose the plant based chocolate mousse and peaches with an edible flower as a garnish. This was a generous serving that ticked off all the boxes. We are looking forward to returning next year to see what the chef has planned for us!

    A special evening that we will repeat! Impeccable service. Delicious lamb ! Dessert was okay but as a non chocolate fan would like an option such as crème brûlée. Or even ice cream and fruit.

    We had an early supper on Labour Day , when the resort was quiet. The service was excellent ( thank you Markus ) and the appetizers we both had was absolutely delicious : battered halibut cheeks with some warm salad/ sauce /croutons…… The entrees included a nice tomato/ tagliatelle dish but my choice was lentils with some sort of falafels which were very dry and frankly not nice . ( I think a lot of good kitchens who don’t have a vegetarian focus put vegetarian options on the menu just for diversity, but they aren’t very good at them…..I would suggest this kitchen is better at meat & fish!) But it is a nice restaurant, quiet , great service , pleasant view of the gardens and what they do well, they do very well! Have the halibut cheeks !

    Very nice menu and specials offered at the Wildflower ! Service by Emma was service great with good recommendations Wine list was also having lots of choices Oysters and the Elk Tartar were very good apps to start as well I recommend visiting :)
