Good service but their machines broke down as we were trying to pay. Food was not bad, but definitely not the best barbecue. Corn bread was awesome, brisket was decent. Coleslaw and potatoe salad were DRENCHED in mayo and too salty. Wish they had a better selection of bbq and hot sauces too. Lively place, probably really fun with a group. Will be back for their happy hour specials.

I have to start my review and say that I am from Texas so BBQ is a big deal. The food was not to our liking at all but again, Canadian BBQ might just be completely different. Our server, I am sorry I do not recall her name was very nice and very accommodating. It was very loud in the restaurant, too loud for dining I believe. Everyone was having fun and the mechanical bull was a lot of fun for our group. I would recommend the Yale Station for drinks and fun but not for dinner.

Wanted to try the BBQ. It was okay for the price but nothing to write home about. Our server was pleasant but scattered. Would have stayed longer if I wasn't feeling rushed in and out.

A very good place to eat. We were there at 7:00 pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. I am sure the excitement increased as the evening progressed.

We had a great time. Went with friends, and had drinks and great BBQ ribs. I had these fantastic deep fried pickles for the first time! Food was fun and tasty, atmosphere was lively but not too loud that you couldn't hear each other . Our sever was fantastic, she was friendly and attentive , but not overly. They even have bull riding . Great fun place, the décor was fantastic, a total cowboy/ cowgirl bar/ restaurant! We will definitely go again!

I had a 5pm reservation. Arrived at 4:55pm to find curtains drawn and door locked. No sign of life.

Stood in rain waiting. 5pm arrived and nothing. At 5:05pm, after standing in rain for 10 minutes, the place was still locked up and so I left. I walked down the street and found somewhere else to eat.

Dunno what is happening at this place. Other than I don't think they can tell time?

The yale saloon is great but they are short staffed. I had mine and my bestfriends birthday here and for a group of 19 people they gave us one server. I asked if he could get help but there was no other staff free to help him. Getting food orders in was delayed, we just ended up having to get up and go to the bar for drinks. The food was okay not excellent and the live entertainment line dancing could have been more interactive. Someone stole my phone from my table, the staff did their best to help find it but whose going to return a brand new iphone 7 plus. Overall, staff was great its just too bad they do not have enough staff working. A table of 19 should be given 2-3 servers. If there was the right amount of staff I would have given this place 10/10. Thanks.

We have never been here before, but it was one of the few places that could accommodate a large group on a Saturday in December! We came here for my husband's birthday and had such a great time! The manager Rene went out of his way to make sure we had a good time and was super accommodating!

The bar is super fun and really lively after 9:30! Even if you are not a country music fan, you will have a great time here! They have a mechanical bull, line dancing lessons and seriously, the best, cheesiest nachos EVER!

All in all we had a great time and will definitely be back!

This is a great place if you want a country night out. Very authentic and a great time. Line dancing, mechanical bull and great country music. The food is okay, they could amp it up a bit to make it really country but overall its fine for the price and experience. We went for a friends birthday and they handled it beautifully. Balloons, put the cake in the fridge and brought it out at the appropriate time and our friend (who is a true country fan) was given a big pink cowboy hat. Fun was had by all.

I was looking for a country style bar and the Yale Saloon gave me exactly what I expected. The food was good but could be a little better. I had pulled pork, and next time I will have the fried chicken. The ambiance was great, everyone was very energetic and the staff were great. The layout of the room is excellent with the Line dancing, Mechanical bull and Buck Hunting video game. The music was good, but there were many more current and classic songs that should have been played. Overall a great experience and I will be coming back again with all of my friends.

We found Yale Saloon on OT, and we enjoyed it. We were astonished that, at 4 p.m. on a Friday, the place was empty. They were playing country music, which we don't mind, and it fits the "saloon" environment. Great beers on tap and definitely a fun afternoon menu. There was a buffet off to one side, but we did not try it. Barbecue was very good and handcut potatoes were outstanding. Staff were very friendly. Great little place to hit for an informal supper.

This was a pleasant surprise. Great BBQ, not super cheap but typical for Vancouver. Awesome staff and great ambiance. It was pretty quiet that night, but I bet it rocks when there is live music. Plus, where else in downtown Vancouver can you ride a mechanical bull??
