We enjoyed our meal...Quite comfortable place for an evening out.
Sushi was great. Scallop portion for entree was very small for price, looked like an appetizer, not a meal.
Faced with a lack of side salads on the menu, our server got the kitchen to assemble two for us.
The food and presentation was good and the location was great. However the maintenance of the decor and finishings were disappointing. The furniture and menus were worn and ripped. Banquets had tears on their seems and shoe scuff marks on the bottom of them.
The bathrooms were old. They had tacky banners on their large windows like a diner. Other than that it was ok. Was expecting a bit more of a polished modern well maintained space since their logo is sleek and modern.
Very disappointing experience. I was late but the other guest was early, she was seated at a bar hight top table as opposed to a standard table which had been requested. When she arrived the restaurant was empty. I asked to be seated at a standard table per the reservation, The hostess did not bothered to look up from her phone and asked what reservation are you talking about. It was like talking to someone who had no understanding of English. She said she would look into changing our table, but never bothered to come talk to us about changing the table. The waiter was brand spanking new, or so he claimed. Refilled our water glasses one time at the end of the meal after repeated asks. Took 10-20 minutes to deliver our actual drinks and never at the same time. We bother order the filet, with purple potato purée, sweet corn and asparagus. Of those items we only received the filet - along with roasted purple potatoes and carrots, and bitter broccolini - no mention from the waiter regarding the menu changes. We requested our steaks be cooked medium, they came to us rare, rare, rare and cold in the middle. We waited for the waiter to return to ask that they be recooked. He never returned, so I had to go to the ever bored hostess and ask her to locate our waiter. The manager came and took the steaks instead of the waiter, but never really apologized. Restrooms were a mess, paper towels all over the floor and a decorative piece on the floor looked like it had not been dusted in years. The steak was quite tasty once it came back from the kitchen. But by then the only thing holding the dinner together was two friends laughing at how bad the food experience was. We won’t be revisiting Thrive.
Great service, wonderful food, incredible atmosphere, amazing value. Highly recommend.
Service is ridiculously slow, has been even before covid.
Very busy concert evening - but with a 5:30 reservation, we were sure we would be gone by 7. We didn’t even have our food until nearly 7, making us late for the concert. We understand the staffing issue - but also had incorrect drink orders multiple times and missing items. They shouldn’t have seated a full house if not staffed for it. We would have understood and made reservations elsewhere. Likely won’t go back despite the convenient location to sports/event venues downtown.
We were late for a show and the entire staff was very accommodating, which was nice since the restaurant was full. Great good and delicious cocktails.
Great restaurant in close proximity to the Benz and State Farm Arena. Terrific service and food was excellent!
Restaurant still recovering from pandemic closure. Bar drinks poor. Salmon was outstanding, but scallops were not 'large' and rice portion was small, almost appetizer size. Bottle of wine was not chilled. Servers tried but lacked experience.
I had a wonderful date here. We both got the salmon as well as the fried green tomatoes which was my absolute fave. We even got a cooked sushi roll, called the dragons breath… everything was very tastefully done… the drinks were even good
Excellant food, very good prices! They had one server walk out just before we got there, so they were very short staffed and the place was PACKED!! Remaining staff was running to serve everyone, remained super friendly and responsive. There were a few glitches, but the food and customer service were spot on! Great place for a fun evening!!
Service was scattered
Firecracker roll was delicious. Chili Pepino rita was excellent. Scallop entree was very disappointing- jumbo sea scallops was four scallops, two of which were close to bay scallops in size, the other two were barely large enough, the risotto was overcooked. Waiter was good. They did a good job making use of the space they had for dining. Attractive atmosphere.
GREAT SERVICE BUT THE FOOD WAS OKKK.
We had Fried Green Tomatoes, Shrimp Tempura roll, shrimp and grits, and salmon. All were ono!!
Horrible food. Sent back one dish for foul tasting. One dish never came out. The service was slow and inconsistent. Do not waste your time at this restaurant.
Good mix of food offered here. Easy for everyone to get something they like.
Food was okay. Service was slow.
Cool and vibey spot for tasty cocktails and sushi fusion. Trendy but still casual. We had margaritas and firecracker rolls and they were both delicious! Also, so convenient if you're attending an event at either of the arenas nearby. Highly recommend!
In Atlanta for a business conference and wanted a good lunch. Thrive was an excellent choice and walking distance from GWCC.
Excellent sushi and drinks
Service was good
Nice place for lunch
Will return for dinner
Overall I love this restaurant, the ambience is beautiful and the food is amazing. The plating is small but I cant get over how good the food is. A little disappointed they do not have any vegetarian option on their menu when they had one on their online version, it was one of the reason I choose them.
Great menu, food was delicious. I modified a salad to add some protein and it was not a problem - calamari was yummy - drinks from bar well done.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Blackened salmon sandwich is to die for for. Best french fries I have every had. Service was well-timed and friendly. Our group loved everything they ordered. Will definitely be go back. We were celebrating a birthday and they gave the birthday person a free dessert.
Calimari was cold and like chewing a rubber band . Steak was very good
Only 2 servers for the lunch crowd led to a 2 hour lunch.
We were visiting and ended our night at Thrive. Everything was wonderful
The porkloin was overcooked and tasteless. The only saving grace was the brussel sprouts. Finally, the plating was not presentable. Very disappointing for an entree at nearly $30.
Kylie was great! (I think that’s her name) Awesome service & personality! Food was awesome as well. Only negative is the hostess, she was either having a bad day or don’t like her job! I’ve never have a restaurant call me because I was running and say you need to hurry up! In the nastiest tone of voice ever smh the polite way to say it was you have this amount of time left before we have to cancel your reservation.
The server was great! Gave us great recommendations
Food was very good. Quick service.
Really nice food options. Our group ordered a variety of items and then shared and LOVED everything except the burgers (which were overcooked, otherwise they would have also been good). The house sangria was delicious. Fun place to eat with friends!
Great Service knowing they were down employees. The entire team pitched in supporting each other. Great attitudes!
Note to self: Never eat at a sushi restaurant when you’re the only customer!
Only customers in the restaurant during Friday lunch (big red flag). Had to pull over the find a rest room during the drive home.
Wait staff was good/attentive. Good food presentation. Overpriced…especially for the food quality.
Sorry, but not a place to bring business customers.
There was a show so it was a little busy. Food was good - service was also good.
Steak, burger, cocktails, and starters are good. Sushi is not good.
It was amazing
